TMNT is cooler than MOTU 03-29-2003 09:29 PM

Awesome Dreamwave TMNT in the newest issue of Wizard!!!!!!!

Go to your local comic shop and get the latest Wizard. It has an excellent 2 page article (with new LeSean art) inside.

MzTheInsomniac 03-30-2003 05:07 PM

how about someone scan it :D

Karpo_007 03-31-2003 01:40 AM

Yes, I hope someone does!

SavantiRomero 03-31-2003 01:53 AM

Does someone have the issue number?

Karpo_007 03-31-2003 01:55 AM

The guy syas it's latest...

TMNT is cooler than MOTU 04-01-2003 08:56 PM

It's #140.

Raven 04-01-2003 08:59 PM

some one take a shot for us and scan the damn thing!

Shellfox 04-04-2003 02:54 PM

is that the one with the Hulk cover (one of the covers)?

BigThew 04-09-2003 04:22 PM

no
but there is a Hulk in the top right corner of every cover

anyways i got it
and read it and looked at the art they had
i wasn't really that impressed with the art at the coloring that i saw,
and i don't know if i will like the story much

"wont get to fully see the turtles until issue 4"
what the heck

Raven 04-09-2003 04:32 PM

oh man I got to get that!

Karpo_007 04-09-2003 04:41 PM

TMNT comic with out TMNT? The comic should center on them, and then have the support characters...

Eye of Sarnath 04-09-2003 05:05 PM

No, it makes sense to me. They won't be fully revealed until issue 4, which means that maybe before then the story will be through the point of view of another character who sees them, knows them, whatever. It should make for an interetting change.

Stone Ill 04-09-2003 05:12 PM

Yeah, it mentions that a rookie cop and a foot soldier, who used to be friends, will mean once againt in Issue #1.

SavantiRomero 04-10-2003 12:03 AM

Reality

Oh nice I like those stories alot where the writer makes an extremely lifelike approach. Don't get me wrong I also enjoy the extremely far fetched stories in outer space, parrallel dimensions and other things like sorcery and undead... but every once in a while a good "more normal" story helps to keep the vision and ideal that the Turtles can be real, hurt, bleed, die.

Can't wait. Oh and I should be able to get that issue of wizard in the next week, the magazines are all about a month old here.

Karpo_007 04-10-2003 06:50 AM

You think the dreamwave can allow the TMNT get wounded? They do bleed in Mirage, but I don't remember they would have in archie.

Leo656 04-10-2003 07:07 AM

The Future Turtles did... Raph lost his eye, and Mikey went blind for a while...

Karpo_007 04-10-2003 07:42 AM

I don't remember seeing any blood in either one of those, but I could be wrong, it has been years since I read them.

GK Punk 04-10-2003 07:45 AM

Yeah I can't imagine too much blood if any being in the DW comic... I think it'll be semi-violent, just not that bad

Leo656 04-10-2003 07:51 AM

Well the Mutanimals got blown away and left in a pool of blood, corpses all strewn about... that was pretty hardcore... that count?

Karpo_007 04-10-2003 09:35 AM

Yeah, but the point was none of the TMNT got wounded. But we don't know yet how violent the dreamwave comic will be.

splint 04-10-2003 09:48 AM

if they are like the tf series then there is going to be some big blood. The reson i say this is in the first issue if the g1 series megatron steped on a human, and crushed one with his hand.

HorseTechie 04-10-2003 10:53 AM

Hence the reason why many TF's call humans "squishies" ! :P

I agree, there will be blood to some degree. I've seen it in the Mirage vol 1. Of course, blood isn't as obious in B/W, but it is there! There's also this one Turtle Soup from the first run, that has a story where Mike is brought back to Splinter with a huge wound in the side of his shell. Also shows the danger and mortaility they have to deal with too.

We'll just have to see....

Sparvid 04-10-2003 10:56 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if they showed some (moderatly) blood.

Edit: Post 500! *dances around* Err, nothing to see here. Move along...

Karpo_007 04-10-2003 11:58 AM

It is still a comic based on the cartoon, so the dream wave Armada comic is the closest to compare to. I haven't read it, but how much violence does it have?

Raven 04-10-2003 02:58 PM

LeSean 04-10-2003 06:06 PM

TMNT is cooler than MOTU 04-10-2003 06:22 PM

Thanks, LeSean! BTW, I love your art. It has a very kinetic feeling to it.

Raven 04-10-2003 06:29 PM

cool pic thanks man!

Aztec General 04-10-2003 07:21 PM

Have I mentioned how cool it is to have the actual artist post here?

By the way, Lesean the Wizard article says that the new series WILL be "uber-violent" like Mirage. Is this true? I hope so :D !

CookSux 04-10-2003 08:54 PM

Hmm the designs are growing on me. Either way, anyone read the Creed TMNT crossover? I just got it in the mail from MileHighComics, and it's pretty cool. Story sucks, but the art was unique... lotta blood too ;-) Then again they said Ralph .

azure turtle 04-11-2003 12:15 AM

I picked up that issue of Wizard. I'm very excited about the new series from the few hints that were dropped. :D

Ugh... we all know that makes me violently ill...

Hey LeS, I have a question for you (If you come back anytime soon that is)
Are they calling Raph "ralph" in this series?

I hope so too, but the new cartoon is violent compared to the old. Let's hope this book will be like Mirage, violence is there but they don't go overboard.

By overboard do you mean cutting off Leo's hand, blowing off half of Raph's face, paralyzing Don and turning him into a cyborg, and turning Splinter into a giant man eating bat?

BigThew 04-11-2003 04:02 PM

i love the art
but the coloring could be a lot better
