Yessss, Nick/Viacom are really being good to the fans :)

Much love to 4kids aswell, I'm sure they pushed the topic while helping Nick in the "transition period".

Leonardo Mystic 06-07-2010 05:43 PM

That is way beyond cool. :tsmile: It'll be right around my birthday too. I have to check Amazon too and I'll put in my pre-order there.

ETA: Well, I don't see it at Amazon, so I'll do Best Buy. Sears was giving me an error when I tried.

Turo602 06-07-2010 05:52 PM

Yyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss!

gobo 06-07-2010 05:56 PM

Schweet!! ^_^ I think I'll be getting a Blu-Ray, supposing they plan on doing one. And, if any store-exclusives come of this release (which is 9.9 times out of 10 limited to the DVD version), then "oh well". I guess I'll have to get that too. :P

Mutated Turtle 06-07-2010 06:06 PM

FINALLY! I didn't think it was going to be released!

I was just talking about this last night with my wife. I am pretty pleased to know that I can predict the future. Tomorrow I plan on buying the winning lottery ticket. :D

Viacom is off to a good start.

DrSpengler 06-07-2010 06:46 PM

Bought.

If it sells, maybe it'll encourage Viacom and Paramount Home Video to either rerelease the 4Kids series in season sets or finish up where Funimation left off.

They're going to have to release *something* to keep interest in the Turtles until the new movie and the CG series come out, anyway.

The Shelf 06-07-2010 06:54 PM

Wooh! Now all we need is season 3 and 4 and season 9 and 10, and we're all set... that is until the new cartoon comes out. :tgrin:

gobo 06-07-2010 07:01 PM

3, 4 & 7...

Y'know, I'm thinking that typo really was a missed opportunity. How appropriate would it have been for you to have titled the thread "Turlets F******" etc, huh? ^_^

I'm with you there.

Finally we can be excited for TMNT again!

Machias Banshee 06-07-2010 07:29 PM

Typo fixed... ;)

This is Great! I hope it's the full version, and not the editted one they originally aired. Hopefully there'll be some extras or SOMETHING in there..

Teddy 06-07-2010 07:34 PM

Awesome!!! :tgrin:

pl212 06-07-2010 07:43 PM

yeeeess !! good news , I do hope they add a few extras stuff in there.

CyberCubed 06-07-2010 08:11 PM

Now if only we can get Lionsgate to release Seasons 9 and 10, as well as the 3 skipped eps, "Once upon a time machine," and "Planet of the Turtleoids."

And yes, I feel the urge to keep bringing this up until we have confirmation its happening. Yay for Turtles Forever though.

FlawedCoil82 06-07-2010 08:19 PM

Awesome! I'll definitely be buying this. I hope it is the full uncut version as Machias Banshee said. I also hope that it will encourage them to release the rest of the Funimation series on dvd season sets as well. I'd be thrilled if they even just took up where Funimation left off. If they do that then I'd even buy BTTS if they released it as a single set (even though I didn't like that one). But I'd want it all. Very encouraging news.

I hate sounding like a buzzkill but... I've seen listings like these turn out to be nothing but mistakes. This early in the game, I'd temper my expectations until we get some more solid confirmations.

Samhain 06-07-2010 08:49 PM

HELL YES! Now heres hoping for tons of extras like making of and maybe some interviews. Please!

Agreed. But if this does meet my expectations then I'M STOKED!!

yup totally agreed :tcool:

jaymq 06-07-2010 10:38 PM

Woo! Good going, Viacom.

Leonardo_Warrior_Turtle 06-07-2010 10:42 PM

YES! Now bring on all 2k3 sets. I wouldn't mind if they start all over so we can get COMPLETE season sets. These 'Part 1 of 2' sets annoyed the crap out of me! Bring it on, Viacom!

Ideal situation for me would be a Complete Series Set... but that don't happen too often for kiddie shows lol

Well I expect complete season sets this time around. If Warner Brothers can do it for Batman, Viacom can do it for the Turtles.

Cure 06-07-2010 11:17 PM

Cool. I'll buy it if it's on Blu-Ray.

Luzmagica 06-08-2010 12:07 AM

Raph 06-08-2010 01:13 AM

Woohoo just woke up and read this incredible news!
I think I'll wait with pre-ordering for a little while, but I'm so going to buy it.

(Best thing is I can make crispier screencaps then with the mpeg version)

Spitfire 06-08-2010 01:16 AM

Sweet I'll get it when it hits Amazon. Like Cure said I hope they do a Bluray release too.

A little *too* Raph 06-08-2010 06:59 AM

I agree that this is awesome. I'm down for a bluray if they make them. If not DVD is still fine :)

BubblyShell22 06-08-2010 07:52 AM

Whoo Hoo! It comes out the day before my BF's birthday, so I'm getting two copies so we can both have it. That'll be a good present for him.

Raph's Girl 06-08-2010 08:04 AM

Awesome sauce!! And it's also being advertised at Wal-Mart's site!!! Im hoping it'll be at Target too tho.

Ninja Tiptup 06-08-2010 08:29 AM

Excellent news though I'm a bit unhappy about it being listed as full frame.

I expect more releases from Viacom in the future.

John Pannozzi 06-08-2010 08:30 AM

Uh-oh. The listing at Amazon says this will be a fullscreen release. I pray to God that that's a typo and it will be in its correct widescreen aspect ratio.

gobo 06-08-2010 08:36 AM

I somehow doubt those details have been ironed out yet.

tone-master21 06-08-2010 08:50 AM

According to David Lambert of TVShowsOnDVD.com they will be posting news about the release later on today.

Chaotix12345 06-08-2010 10:17 AM

Friggin' Awesome! I didn't really expect this to be released so soon after the sale! Good first move on Nick's part. I can't wait to add this sweet special to my TMNT DVD collection!
