Here we go for RC#6 we will take on METALHEAD, the robot turtle!

End Date: 25th July 2010.

Metalhead is a rogue robot turtle in the 1987 cartoon series. Krang imbued Metalhead with the thoughts and memories of all the turtles in "The Making of Metalhead." RULES:

All people who choose to participate will have 15 days to come up with a redesign for the given character.
You can use any medium you wish.
You can sketch, paint, make a 3-D model, make a sprite, make a custom action figure, whatever you want.
Its entirely up to you!

If you have done a backstory for your redesigns and want to see it submitted with your art, please embed it in the picture.

You can post any number of redesigns you want and chose if it will be submitted to the contest poll, but when nothing is mentioned by the submitter, they will be always considered submissions.
Will only be considered a maximum of 2 finished Art submissions per participant for the contest poll.

All submissions made after the end date will not be considered, so please don´t post more art if the deadline ended.

As well, you don't have to force yourself to make your design conform to any new or old cartoon or comic book's style.
Be as drastic in your redesign as you see fit. Whatever makes you happy.

If you can't think of a new design, or just hate the idea of working on this character, you do not have to feel obligated to participate in this particular challenge.
You will still be free to participate in any future challenges you wish.

When the 15 days end, the contest poll will be post with the submissions during 10 days.
The winner of the contest poll can choose the 5th character in the next character poll.

Art Submissions End Date: 25th July 2010.

Just kidding. Truth be told, there are alot better female characters that could be picked... Ninjara, Maligna, Kala, Radical, even Venus.

I'm finishing up my drawing as we speak, old-school pen-and-ink. I may throw some color on it last minute. Where's everyone else's??

I have a little story behind this, nothing special...

Krang & Shredder get beat all the time. Krangs exosuit has many many many built in weapons but no matter what form or device he uses, he loses. Krang says "what is it those turtles have that we don't?! Why do we keep losing?! Blasted turtles... thats it! They're turtles!" then the scene changes & later Krang attacks in a turtle exosuit he refers to as "Metalhead"!

He's got a light saber-esque sword on his hand here hand but that arm usually functions as a gun (similar to megaman or samus' blaster cannons). Hes got jet thrusters on his shell & shoulder lasers too.

The guy who starts these has been on a small hiatus due to personal issues & asked that we wait for him to come back to before a new one begins.

After the original Metal Head was destroyed by the Turtles Krang set out to create an even more merciful-less MK. II armed to the shell with weaponry and the ability to adapt to what ever threat it faces, the Turtles were no match.

(Sorry for crap quality had no scanner took a picture of it)
