Valentines Day Is around the corner....
 

That's right... I said it... So... Just wondering what you guys are doing for that special lady in your life?... Or for the ladies on this forum, what are you doing for your man?

My GF is making a special dinner. She isn't telling me specifically what she is cooking, but I'm excited. Can't complain about getting a home cooked meal :) for a halmark holiday. :)

I picked up a couple things for her... Flowers, and a new toy for her ipod. Should be a good day.

Anyhow, I thought it would be cool to see what you guys are doing. May inspire some ideas for future v-tines days. :)

Well, anyway..Ive never done anything fancy that day of the year,although I used to wish to... Something always happened!!And this year too...I have exams the very same day...till 8:00 pm!!! how lucky can I be, huh?
But it's okay! With lover or not everybody can celebrate this day, just with the people each person holds dear! At least that what I think:toops:

Last year i took my girl to a steakhouse and we went home and watched a movie together.

This year i'm taking her to Disney On Ice. lol.


don't judge me .. lol. there's not a lot to do in WV we haven't already done. anything that comes to town is better than nothing lol

Spending time with the wife and baby, probably help with dinner, nothing too special, this is just a money making holiday, I don't need a special day to tell/show her or my daughter I love them because I do that each and every day...

I agree. I think we should celebrate love every day and not one day a year. As for me, I'll probably give the BF some candy and spend time with him at his house. Not sure when we're getting together. The bonus is I get two things each year: One for Valentine's Day (candy) and a gift for my B-day.

My girlfriend and I both work full-time jobs and don't live together, so considering Valentine's Day is on a Monday, we're going to celebrate it this weekend with some fun in the city.

My husband made reservations for us at our favourite Italian restaurant. It's the one night where we get all dressed up and order wine with our dinner like grownups! :lol: I haven't bought him a gift yet, but he's already surprised me with a couple of Final Fantasy VII action figures.

I just got the "we should see other people" talk yesterday, so probably nothing.

Doood. Sorry to hear that! Someone once said to me... Little fish BIG POND... Best words of wisdom I ever heard. I'm sure it's easier said than done, but I wish you all the best. Watch some old TMNT episodes... Always makes me feel better when I'm down n out. ;)

Well, my love is my career, so I'll be having a special dinner with my brother and my parents at home. We usually do a fancy dinner - I'll be making a chocolate hazelnut souffle with Frangelico... maybe hit the Lindt store for some truffles. <3

Sorry to hear that, Mr. Pliggins. That sucks. Just try to keep your chin up. The person who did that to you probably isn't worth it anyway.

If u are a man,take your girl outta town,and show the love, buying candy really don't mean anything..real women want your time,not candy and other crap that is useless....

Oh common!! It's not bad to spent that day alone! It's just a single day after all! So what? Even when Im in relationship, Ive never celebrated that day!!
And when Im alone, Im gathering my other single friends and we celebrate the Anti-Valentine's Day! And were just having fun!

I used to hate this holiday when I was single, but even now, it's not a big thing. Just another day. My BF will probably call me on that day to wish me a happy Valentine's, but we won't be spending it together that day. I wish we could.

Single, gonna be spending it alone. Skint, so can't even go out into town to see if I can pull.

Thanks, guys...but it's all right, I don't mind spending it alone. It's cheaper at least! :) I once had a girlfriend who wouldn't be happy with any gift if it wasn't an engagement ring. Needless to say, I figured out she was psycho pretty fast.

Prob nothing really. This is a hallmark holiday and a waste of money. Anyone saying ''You gotta do something for her'' has been suckered into thinking that if you dont do anything for you significant other on this day then you are a loser. I try to make everyday day Valetines for my woman.:)

And that's the way it should be. You should celebrate the one you love every day, but most couples don't remember that. I'm not saying you should give them gifts every day or whatever. Just show that you care about them and don't just save it for one day.

It's kinda wierd that this is the first Valentine's day in four years I'm not gonna be spending it with a girlfriend. Intead it's gonna be in a courtroom...LAME

I'll take tests over spending all day in a courtroom any day. But yeah at least I'm guaranteed $17.50 at the end of the day :lol:

My V-day was pretty normal. My BF and I are getting together on Saturday to hang out and go out to eat. It's going to be cool.

I sent him a love letter.

Funny story, so I went for the jury summons and it turns out since I'm a full time student I didn't have to go after all. Then on the train ride back I started talking with a girl and we ended up going on a date yesterday which was pretty awesome.

I'm at my BF's house now. We're going out to eat later. For Valentine's Day he got me Dark Chocolate Reese's Cups and Hershey's Bliss Dark Chocolates. For my B-day he got me The John Cena Experience DVD and a headset so I can tutor online.

^^That's really sweet. I love Dark Chocolate. Especially with strawberries.
