VOTE Which head strikes the most likeness to movie 1 Raphael?
 

Just thought I would make a thread I am curious on which of these people feel looks/resembles Raphael from the first movie the most. Really think about how Raph looked in the first film ONLY before you vote. Order is 1 2 3 left to right. Thanks

I like the 1st one best, myself. Still, the teeth seem off.

First one obviously looks nothing like the movie but wanted to include it because it was a good quality head regardless that I had at one point.

Second for me. But they all look a little bit off.

I guess two. If two had ones eyes it'd be a wrap.

Very Hard to pick between 1st and 2nd but i went with 1st.

I am blown away by the poll results so far to say the least, I didnt think the first one would get any votes but I am sure people are just voting for the one they like best not the one with the closest likeness because that has almost no likeness whatsoever but hey to each his own. 2nd one teeth, eyes, bandanna, and head shape look all wrong to me.

Dude, c'mon. You're in denial. We know how to read. You've asked we vote on which comes closest & that's what we're doing.

Now, Powder I know that I just went with the one I liked the best....just so happens it's the one I think looks the most like TMNT 1 Raphie. ;)

I voted for the first one...it looks the most like movie 1 out of all 3 of them, in my opinion.

Ummmm... in my opinion and in comparation : Head number 1 is closest to first movie because In that movie Raph use to be show more the teeth part....Also i think the spots on his skin are not so darker as second head..First head also had a more a softer face bow...the other two heads are too much triangular / pyramidal shape...Just my opinion...

I am not in denial at all, I really dont see any likeness in the first head and never did when I owned it either. Let me explain why, Cheeks are to big and bulky, Eyes to light in color, Bandanna shape isnt even close, Expression doesnt really look like Raph. As far as the new Bust I think the eyes, bandanna, and head shape are as close as it gets to the movie but the upper lip could be a tad bigger.

I would have to agree on this comment although Head #3 has the closest to movie 1 teeth and Head number 2 looks closer to the teeth from Movie 2.

I think the 2nd one looks closest to the first film. But I do think you dont really have an eye for this sorta stuff. While raphy might have shown teeth in alot of scenes it doesnt transfer well to bust form and the teeth really throw the sculpt off. Teeth are hard to get right,especially on a turtle. lol.

I can see what your saying, I would have preferred a closed mouth expression but it wasnt my chouce on this one. I have a pretty detailed eye for things so I notice all the small stuff and still think it looks fantastic :-)

To be completely frank, I can almost hear the 3rd head screaming "Get to da choppah!!"

the middle one too me looks alot like the 3rd movie.,

No offence to those people that made these heads but I personally think none of them come even close to capturing the look.

I like the first the best, but the 3rd one looks like Movie Raph.

They all look off to me. But the third does kinda look like a former governer of California...

The First one for me

the third one is the most accurate (imo) to the movie from the eyes up, but the first has the most resemblance overall.

however, I am not a fan of the beak portion on any of them really (ESPECIALLY the third one, the mouth is all wrong)

I said the 3rd Raph, I like the first one a little more, I would say the lower part of the face between the mouth and bandana is to big. They got the bandana pretty close to the movie slightly thicker on the bottom parts and it would be better.

The beak on the 3rd one is a little off imo, the teeth maybe more accurate but I don't believe they are the same. I don't have a pic on hand to tell directly... I am unsure about the second one, if it had a bandana it would be easier to compare them.

The second one along with the 3rd one actually have good paint ups like the first movie with the spots (first one is good too). Its kind of hard to judge, the second ones teeth look a little to much like foam cut into cubes and I am not sure about the 3rd one if they are supposed to be rounded like that. I don't believe the first one is accurate for the teeth either but they are all really good.

I think they all look great, but also something just is not right.
I can't tell by the pic's, the teeth look good but seem way to close
to the front of the mouth. In these pic's they look a lot farther back.

OMG where did you get those pics? That appears to be the real Raph Movie 1 animatronic head am I right? Do you have any more pics to share, do you own this head? Thanks

From the age of the pictures they look like on set pics from the movie itself....maybe.

Ok, I have 3 pictures of each turtle that was supposably smuggled out of the
Henson creature shop before the movie came out. I remember the guy said he'd
be in big trouble if he got caught with them. They were sent to me from england
so it kinda made sense. I know your looking for Raph pic's but I will post them all
as soon as I can load them up. Hope they can help.
