What plots were left unresolved or forgotten in the OT?
 

Theres metalhead that was turned good and they mention he'd be a great ally against the shredder and we never see him again except for a cameo cleaning the lair one episode. Why set up something to never use him again?

Of course there is Usagi, who they had a great way to bring him back to his world at the end of the episode and they don't. Were there plans of a spin-off or something? weird they didn't show him again either. I know there was a space usagi proposal but that wasn't a spin-off from his OT appearance.

i think its funny that usagi was just for easter episodes.

That's not a dropped plot, Splinter accepted his life as a rat after that Season 2 episode, "Splinter no more."

As for other recurring characters that didn't show up again, those aren't plotlines really, they're just characters who never appeared again.

The OT did leave a lot of unresolved plot lines, with Usagi probably being the most notable. I'd have also liked to have seen Mona Lisa make another appearance since she's never heard from again after we see her visiting in the lair. Maybe she became a famous scientist in San Francisco or something...

Shouldn't a spin-off be set in his own timeline? Except for the TMNT crossovers, shall fight feudal Japanese ninjas in his own era, not 1989 New York City human street gangs.

Usagi's one, and one of his episode has Easter references in it, Usagi Come Home. (Which ironically he never did)

Did Dregg taking a chunk of mutated Leo's shell ever get resolved? I never did watch all of season 9 and 10.

Carter's mutation was never stabilized like the turtles' were. Titanis's mutants from season 8 were never turned back to normal. Irma never found someone to have a date with all the time.

I always wanted to know why April left Channel 6 and where Irma, Vernon and Burne were in seasons 9 and 10. Bebop and Rocksteady were last seen in Turtle Trek. We don't know their final fate after that.

Nope. And you never saw all of the last two seasons after 15 years?

Nope...just seen the 5 episodes on the vol 1 disk. I've looked to track them down, and had marginal luck.

Where were you back in 1995/1996 when they were originally airing?

Thinking the Turtles had died, and when I did catch the off episode, I didn't like what I saw: Carter, Dregg, Super Mutations. I've only seen season 8 via DVD.

In regards to Mona Lisa.It looked like the writes basicly said"uhh,we're not going to do that agian".It was a shame she was never used again.They sorta left it up to the imagination.

What about the First episode "Turtle Tracks" itself? It introduced as to a sort of "Ninja neighbourhood", with a Ninja Pizzeria, Ninja Dry clean, what happened with all them? We never saw it again.

It would be awesome to have follow the plot where The Shredder controls a part of the city with human ninjas as well as his alliance with Krang.

One of the 1990 accesories called "Oozey" is directly related to that Ninja Pizzeria.

This is a very good point. I suppose that once Shredder's skyscraper was destroyed, he pulled all funding and support for the Ninja neighborhood. It's ironic to think that in the very first episode of the OT, Shredder functions pretty much like the corrupt corporate mogul we see in both Mirage V.1#1 and the 4kids show. Never really thought about that before...

Also, what happened to that secretary who ordered all the Foot Soldiers around?!?

Bebop and Rocksteady were some of the gang members. They got mutated into a Warthog and a Rhino in the 2nd episode. After that, you hardly ever see the rest of the gang, just a few more times in season 1. Starting with season 2, you never see the gang again (unless the gang from The Gang's All Here and Once Upon A Time Machine are somehow the same gang from season 1). Bebop and Rocksteady called them "Their old gang". I was never sure if that gang and the gang from season 1 were the same gang.

She went on to star in "The Nanny" & several mildly successful films.

your probably right. i have to rewatch season 1 cuz i dont remember seeing any of them lol

but i doubt it was the same gang in once upon a time machine cuz there was a girl with the gang from once upon a time machine. and i dont think there was any girls in the gang shredder had.

Oh man how could I forget about the gang members, that bothers me every single time I watch season 1. To clear things up and the reason people forget about them.. Shredder only asks for two volunteers however after that you see that they are all mutated, but Shredder de-mutates the Bat mutant to prove the anti-mutagen works which is what Splinter wants. At this point you can assume that after the failure of Rocksteady and Beebop, Shredder decided to de-mutate the other gang members, however this isn't the case since you see the gang members in their mutated form in a prison cell and the de-mutated gang member was turned into a bat again (or the anti-mutagen was only temporary). so yeah they should still be around, I guess you can say they stayed in Dimension X? Or de-mutated off screen? Too bad they weren't terribly designs, I wouldn't have minded seeing them for a change of pace.

That's Jersey Red. She was in The Gang's All Here and Once Upon A Time Machine. But she definitely wasn't in Season 1.

Dregg used Leo's super mutated turtle shell along with an extra supply of the chemicals used to stabilize Leo's newly plutonium enhanced mutation and created super mutation, which, combined with the Turtles', Krang's and (so he planned anyway) Shredder's to transform himself into a super powerful/intelligent being. Raphael drained it all out of him before transporting him to Dimension X with Shredder and Krang.

As for Usagi, "Come Home" means to cease his dishonorable attack on the Turtles (thanks to Shredder) and rescue Obento and return to his shop.
