What do you think each turtle would do? What would be the best line up?

I say:
Raph on vocals and rythum guitar(like me :D )
Don on bass
Leo on guitar and backing vocals
Mikey on drums

It may sound like a dumb thread, but O well!!! :P

The TMNT WERE a rock band! They even toured! :D

Leo played bass
Raph played saxaphone and drums
Mike played lead guitar
Donnie played keyboards

And they all sang, I think.

All in all it was pretty goofy. :P

Right now I'm stuck using a car without a CD player, just a cassette player. So when I'm not listening to the radio I listen to the Coming Out of Their Shells tape, which was the only cassette I could find. But I still love it. :)

But Turtle's can't play guitars with 3 fingers!! Especially scince one is a thumb, and I mean come on, who uses their thumb!!! :lol: :)

...they would make a show called Coming Out Of Their Shells, where they would con children into paying alot of money to see a bunch of crappy costumed actors act a fool on stage...and dont forget they would have crappy music.

Well, in Mike's profile in the new cartoon sourcebook says that he managed to teach himself guitar. (How he got a guitar, I don't know.) Plus, I've seen lots of neat little gadgets that could help with that. Not saying he could do every chord or song, but I'm sure there's a lot he could manage, he's creative. He could write his own stuff, for example. :)

I think Mike would probably be the 'frontman' of the group because of his charisma and presence. He would probably do vocals and lead guitar.

Raph or Leo would do second guitar and/or bass.

Don would be good on drums.

That's an interesting note about the guitar, Kali..... Mike also has a drumset in his room on the foxbox website. He also has a jukebox and a stereo system. He must realy like music.

By the way, I dont have the sourcebook and there is no toys'r'us near where I live. Could someone possibly PM or email me Mike's 'profile' on there??? Thanks.

You know I actually thought of something, He could "Drop C" Tune his guitar, that only requires the use of one finger chording.. and you can do quite a bit with it...

As for Drop C, just take E down 2 whole steps to C, then everything else down 1 whole steps. It's like Drop D, but with an added Step on each note

come to think of it, i don't think the turtles would ever start a band (even if it were 'underground' :P ). i mean, it would be hard considering mikey is the only one that has ever shown he can actually PLAY any musical instruments..... let alone write songs.

I think if the Turtles were gonna do anyknid of music it would be Rap....
Think about it, in every version of the cartoon where they dressed up, they dressed up like B-Boys...and they wouldnt HAVE to play instruments, they could do it all on computer, and Donnie would produce all the music, and Leo would be more of the manager type, and then Mike and Raph would do all the vocals....that would be cool...

....or techno.

no techno... the turtles are totally rock all the way. they just do the b boy thing...to....er... to.... throw people off the trail! Yeah, that's it. They don't want their...er...fans to find out where they hang so they do the whole techno thing to throw them off... that way when people look for them all they can find is Moby...

you know guys, they could do rap-rock. its not that uncommon these days (limpbizkit, Rage Against the Machine, old Deftones, Faith No More, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, 311, etc etc)

OK, this is the formula for a so-called - ahem, "rap-core" (I hate that term but love the style) band a la Linkin Park or POD.

Leo - Lead Vocals and bass (Like Mike Herrera)
Casey - lead gits of course - only he has 5 fingers on the frets *note, Casey wears hockey mask during gigs
Raph - drop-D rhythm gits, growl/rap vocals
Mike - double-bass drumming madness
Don - turntables, electronic elements

also introducing...
Shredder - talented metal/thrash guitar player, if only by necessity from his title - he's the SHREDDER for crying out loud!

Just as long as they dont do any music like "Good Charlotte" then im fine with whatever music that they would choose to do...other wise I would become the next Shredder and vow to destroy the TMNT and their crappy rock ways...
