Getting Down in Your Town

I'm not sure which of the "Joker Gassed Turtles" VHS tapes were the worst, but I'm just getting around thanks to MutantOoze.org on youtube. I didn't know it existed until recently. I thought there was Coming Out of Their Shells...and then...this. I think this is one of the "big three" in TMNT deep hurting.

gobo 05-31-2011 05:06 PM

:blanksta: I don't follow. 'Splain? BTW, I thought I had told you about this one ages ago.

Jester 05-31-2011 05:13 PM

This is probably the best of the worst:
GDiYT
Turtle Christmas
Turtle Tunes
Of the 3 I have 2...I'm watching the 3rd on youtube.

And maybe you did....but my memory sucks. I'm only 26 and I have those "Why'd I come to this room?" issues.

TheCanadiandrome 05-31-2011 05:14 PM

i'd like to get the VHS of this

Powder 05-31-2011 05:15 PM

I haven't seen this one, or Turtle Tunes yet, but I plan to buy them eventually.

TheCanadiandrome 05-31-2011 05:16 PM

i've never seen it other than on Amazon for a not too bad price, but i'd like to see it on ebay

Do you guys remember the music videos to Spin That Wheel and Turtle Power that were on video cassette together?

LeoNerdo 05-31-2011 05:19 PM

I bought the Turtle Tunes VHS off eBay last year. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet.

I have those - are they not on YouTube? I could encode them and get 'em uploaded if they need to be.

It's pretty hard core "deep hurting". I mean, Michele Ivey used it to punk out Michael Sinterniklaas at a con.

You know, I never let the poor quality of those tapes bother me too much. When they were released (I think around 1996) I was starved for new TMNT stuff, so I loved them. However, I recently listened to the soundtrack cassette to make MP3s and OMG I was horrified at how horrible all of it was. I think my ears actually bled.

 Fleeting thoughts aren't an age issue. I've been like that since I was a kid. But, I guess my long-term memory is just better than average and my short-term sucks.

What is this "deep hurting" of which you speak?

If you ever decide to sell it, lemme know. ^_^ It doesn't mention Bob Bejan or Tour-toiseshell anywhere on the case, does it? I'm still on the fence as to whether this is in any way related to CooTS or not.

I suggest watching eBay.nl for the DVD. It's not region-free, but it was only $15 even after shipping, and included both Turtle Tunes & We Wish You A Turtle Christmas.
