Poor Baxter Stockman
 

When I used to watch the show as a kid I always looked forward to the next episode with Baxter Stockman since I kept hoping he would turn back into a human at some point.

When he first appeared he was just a regular guy with a good idea who wanted to help people get rid of rats. Then Shredder used him, mostly by bullying him around and verbally abusing him and he started going a bit nuts.

Throw in a mutation into a fly and he finally snaps. It always just seemed like if he turned back into a human maybe he could go back to being a normal guy. Instead he's stuck as a fly forever.

Anybody else felt sorry for Poor Baxter Stockman?

And didn't the turtles basically steal his car and his things to make the turtle van?

Fun Fact: Baxter's last appearance in the original cartoon has him trapped in limbo between dimensional barriers again.

Since the show ended, we have no clue if Baxter ever got back to Earth or was lost in dimensional limbo forever.

Count me in. He was a tragic villain, seduced by evil.

In both universes, Baxter was a pretty pitiable character. I kinda hoped he'd be restored to a human in the FW series, he got the shaft, not just from Shredder and Krang, but the Turtles treated him very badly.

4Kids Baxter got a bit of a happy ending, working with President Bishop in the future.

And in the comics, Donatello blasts Baxter to bits because he's sick of him hanging on his wall. :lol:

Its too bad Baxter never returns in the Archie series after the episode adaptions. Would have been interesting to see fly-Baxter in Archie, oh well.

Yeah I would have liked that too. Archie did some cool stuff with the characters it used. I don't know Baxter was better off left in limbo. His mind was degenerating. Every time he showed up he was more fly like. He was dangerous with the right person telling him what to do. If I remember though his computer buddy wasn't much but a circuit board by the end of his last encounter with the turtles. Unless he was like Brainiac I'd say he didn't last long.

Yeah. I am kinda hoping the Nick version mutates him into a fly again, only so we can see another take of him like that.

Seems like we'll see human baxter using robots/cyborg stuff in the beginning of the Nick show, but I hope they mutate him later on.

He also kinda deserved the tortures he was dealt. You lie with dogs, you wake up with turtle power up in yo face.

One of the few traditions kept in all tmnt universes (sans movies and NM) if they keep Stockman for the Nick show, another cyborg/mutant would be nice. Now that I think about it, Stockman in a movie could be very interesting

Hmm....I wonder if we could have Baxter as the main villain in the next movie.

He was also in the second movie '' The secret of the ooze. He was working on TCRI and Shredder kidnaped him and he created Toka and Rahzar. What will happen to Nick baxter? I will like to see Baxter in Nick show to be a human and not be mutated or turned into a cyborg.

That wasn't Baxter, that was Prof. Jordan Perry.

Wouldn't being trapped in dimensional limbo pretty much be a death sentence? I can't imagine there was anything like food and water there. Pretty soon he'll either starve, die of thirst or some combination of the two.

I guess it's just Baxter's lot in life to be crapped on.

It's almost like Baxter was sent to the Phantom/Negative Zone...depending on which comic book company you like better.

They treated him like that because they're villains. That's kinda what villains do. They're bad guys not care bears. ;)

what will Shredder to in the Nick Baxter? will he mutate him in a fly or will he destroy his body and keep his brain?

Baxter was too far gone at that point. Turning him into a human again would have still kept him all deranged and evil and still wanting revenge for spending the last... whatever years... as a fly in the first place. But knowing the old cartoon, and all cartoons that follow the eternal status quo... he would have turned human, did some half-baked evil plan that fails.. and somehow end up as a fly again and stuck in limbo by the end of the episode.

Why would they need Baxter when they had Krang? He was probably smarter than Baxter and had better toys. The Technodrome alone is proof of that.

Or have Barney, Baxter's identical twin, team up with Baxter once. I'm sure Barney was ticked at Raph for destroying his Gag-A-Magnifier.

Just for that, I hope the next TMNT movie has black Baxter in it, and he's portrayed by Chris friggin' Rock.
