When do you think we'll get the Season 10 DVD?

I really hope we don't have to wait another 1 year or more for the last DVD. Although I do get the feeling they might want to release it right before the Nick cartoon starts in next September, just so the DVD could ride of the possible success of the cartoon.

I hope we can get it sooner. I just really want to get that last season as quickly as possible so this series can finally be done besides the 3 skipped eps.

gobo 08-17-2011 12:36 PM

We got it years ago. Where've you been?

What do you mean? There were four episodes released on the first dvd. But I would have to assume that the complete final season will be released and some point. However, at this rate I would say probably some time around 2014.

rufus 08-17-2011 01:16 PM

Im going to guess next year. 2012 marks the 25th of t he fred wolf series and seing as that is what the general public knows. Plus nicks TMNT will be out. So a lot to ride the waves on.

Jester 08-17-2011 03:40 PM

I think in 2012, before the premiere of the Nick series, like rufus.

3 skipped episodes?

Planet Of The Turtleoids
Once Upon A Time Machine
?

Jester 08-17-2011 04:45 PM

The Planet of the Turtleoids is the length of 2 episodes.

hudemx 08-17-2011 04:58 PM

Well I already got Season 10 on DVD, along with Season 8 & 9 in 2007 - and yes it was an official DVD Release ;)

Shreddhead 08-17-2011 05:06 PM

I gotta think it will coincide with the premier of the new show too. Lets just hope it doesnt take another 3 years...

Some people consider Planet of the Turtleoids as 2 episodes.

CyberCubed 08-17-2011 06:05 PM

Someone should also ask Lionsgate if they have those Turtle Tip shorts, they deserve to be included as they are an official production of the old toon.

LeoNerdo 08-17-2011 07:30 PM

Hopefully next year at some point, who knows? I had all but given up on an official Season 9 release and then it was announced.

Jephael 08-18-2011 11:12 PM

I think for the final classic toon DVD release Lionsgate should just put out the episodes from season 10 that aren't on the season 1 release as well as "Once Upon a Time Machine" and "Planet of the Turtleoids"!

Why would they do that? Why would anyone WANT them to do that? (regarding season 10 eps)

They should put all of Season 10 in order. Why the hell would anyone want to switch off between a Season 1 DVD and a Season 10 DVD to see all the eps? That's bloody ridiculous.

Jephael 08-18-2011 11:24 PM

What, are you too lazy to push the eject button on your DVD player? I think it's a good idea because they won't go wasting precious disc space on episodes that've already been released.

Spitfire 08-18-2011 11:33 PM

Adding 3 episodes to an 8 episode season will not make it too big for one disk. The other releases have had up to 13 episodes per disk so there's no need to not release the whole season in order just to accommodate the 3 missing episodes. It'd be very silly to do it that way and it would piss off more people then it would please. The 2K3 sets are mostly a mess because they're out of order they don't need to start doing that here as well.

Powder 08-18-2011 11:47 PM

That'd be a weak release, the whole season should be on it. Who would want to switch out the DVD they're watching just to see the rest of the season they're halfway through? That's ridiculous. The whole season is a mere, what, 8 episodes? That needs to be on one disc. Bad idea.

Jester 08-18-2011 11:47 PM

Pilfered from Facebook (and edited for context.):
I agree with Cybercubed, Spitfire, and Powder. That and how do you market that? "The (in)complete season 10 (for the other half, track down TMNT season/volume 1) and some episodes we missed."
If they add the "lost' episodes to the "complete season 10," since it's only 8 episodes, that's cool.
Heck, I'd almost buy a release of the Planet of the Turtleoids "movie" with Once upon a Time Machine (maybe even put the other Hocum episode on for reference) as a bonus. If they threw in the Turtle Tips, Playmates ads, or maybe even the edited "movie" version of The Epic Begins, I'd be more than happy.

ABrown 08-19-2011 09:25 AM

It wouldn't hurt anything to put all eight season ten episodes on one disk. There would still be plenty of room available on the disk.

Well, why those haven't been included as an extra by now is beyond me. The TMNT releases in general have been pretty weak, even if some of the packaging has been novel.

CyberCubed 08-23-2011 12:02 AM

I heard another country already has all the Season 10 eps officially on DVD, is this true?

Yes, that Info was posted already multiple times...

AK_Mikey_Fan 08-23-2011 02:21 PM

I hope the season comes out somewhere next year, It'll allow me to getting the two seasons I am missing (4 and 6).

Sadly... no, only german Audio.

This release was made 2 Years before KSM joined forces with LionsGate to release both the german Version and the US english Version on DVD in germany.

Also: Look at the Coverart for the 3 Final Seasons - would you have thought that the 3 Red Sky Seasons are on there:

Looking at this cover, I wouldn't have thought that this would have season eight's episodes either:

that sounds good to me

pannoni1 08-24-2011 02:14 PM

It would be cool if by this time next year that the fan documentary would be finished/nearly finished, so that if possible a promo on the Season 10 DVD could be inserted covering some behind the scenes info on the series and other items in the universe; a good final send-off to that generation of the show. Or, a special "documentary edition" could be released.

CyberCubed 08-27-2011 08:44 PM

I wonder if there is a way to find out how much season 9 sold?

Ioz 08-28-2011 10:58 AM

I'd prefer the final set just be the four remaining season 10 episodes that haven't been on DVD before along with the three skipped episodes (Once Upon a Time Machine and Planet of the Turtleoids: Parts 1 & 2). They can call it "The Final Volume" or something. More Shredder episodes would help sales anyways. Volume 1 with the previously released season 10 episodes can be had on Amazon still for less than $6. There is no reason to put the previously released season 10 episodes on the final set.

I agree and I like the whole "The Final Volume" idea. It would be a nice finisher.

No, why release an incomplete season? When I'm doing a rewatch of the show, I don't want to lug out my Season 1 DVD just to see 4 episodes from Season 10.

Seriously, this is the worst idea I've ever heard. People actually want a shoddy Season 10 release?

I swear, some people actually WANT these releases to be horrible.

Ioz 08-28-2011 11:07 AM

I want the three missing episodes. I could care less about 4 episodes that are ALREADY on DVD.

1. They were released as bonus episodes.

2. I don't care that I already have them, I am getting a Season 10 DVD anyway, I'd rather they be in proper order where they belong.

And lastly, there's no reason all of Season 10 AND the 3 skipped eps can't be all on the same disc. It'd only come out to 11 episodes.

Ioz 08-28-2011 11:34 AM

11 episodes on one disc? Lionsgate wouldn't do that. That would give it a Mill Creek picture quality. I'd rather have the complete series on DVD than 4 episodes repeated. A majority of people like the earlier seasons episodes better anyways, so it would help sales. Call it "The Final Volume" and get this series done finally on DVD.

Season 2 had 13 episodes on that disc, and it looked just fine.

Ioz 08-28-2011 11:47 AM

I forgot Volume 2 had that many. I guess it is possible they could do that then, but the picture quality would suffer some, because the bit rates would go down. I'd still rather the final release be the unreleased episodes only.

Lionsgate has still made no comments if the skipped eps will even be on DVD.

I am sure they'll release the complete Season 10.

Ioz 08-28-2011 11:59 AM

This is a company that started off with volumes, then went to seasons. They also have had some crazy different packaging. Who knows what they will do?
