I have play all the TMNT except the TMNT: Tournament Fight on SNES. How is it different then Genesis' TMNT Tournament Fighters?
|
Hrm... I haven't played the Mega Drive version of it but to be honest I wouldn't expect the games to be drastically different.
|
I know it is a bit differnt. If the genesis version is like the NES version (which i suppose it is) then it's DRASTICALLY differnt. There are differnt characters, differnt fight combos, and a totally differnt storyline. your best bet is to check out the emulator rom before you buy the game to see if you like it.
~Mica (I personally like the SNES version better  ) |
The Ninja Turtles Network has a whole page dedicated to these video games. It lists the good and bad points as well as the differences.
|
The Arcade games are Awesome.. I'm a die hard TMNT fan and been searching all over the net for music from the TMNT 1 ,2 and the movies !!! Arrgh had not much luck at all so was wondering if anyone here had any music in wav , mp3 etc.. not midi , of the arcade games or the movies ?
=) |
I notice that NinjaturtlesNetwork does NOT have the NES version listed. But I remembered seeing it at my local videostory years ago. I do believe it's also the ONLY modern fighting game for the original Nintendo.
I've played the Genesis version... as I remember, it takes place in space with the turtles travelling to different worlds and fighting fake versions of themselves. I believe Casey and April are playable, but I'm not totally sure offhand. |
yes spooie that is right..i own the genesis version, and u cant play as stingray, casey, april, the clones of raph, mike, leo, don....so ya
|
ahh, so the genesis version is differnt too... I own the genesis version, but unfortunatly never got a chance to play it before the sega kiked a bucket (off to the electronics graveyard with you! PH33R MICA'S SCREWDRIVER!) I must D/L a Rom of that... hmm... The NES version is differnt. It's in outer space. There's a Triceriton, April, Casey, and the 4 TMNT (I *THINK* manray might be in it... I'd have to break it out to see for sure). YOu an choose a char, then choose a world to fight on, and dependant on the world, you fight an evil version of the aforementioned characters. Damn.. now I wanna break it out and play it again

the nes version also has some dragon thing called hot-head of hot head of something.
|
Ooh! I think there's a new wallpaper of the turtles up on UnderManhattan that shows the dragon thing. It shows Donatello fighting with some kind of move that sends out a golden dragon in some junkyard, I believe...
|
Oh ya! I've downloaded all four of those wallpapers. Really awesome! I suggest everyone go to UM and take a look. I currently have Mikey on my desktop.
|
Ack! Those are awesome! I wanna take one, but i already have a CG pilot pic up for wallpaper.
decisions, decisions... |
*snickers*
I was gonna rotate every week. So next week, I think I'll have Raph give my desktop a little attitude. |
I just switched to Don's. I think the dragon's just really cool! Anyhow, are those all painted (computer or hand)?! Whoever did 'em's got some talent...
|
I'd love to find out how to draw that and do some of my own dabbling.
Hmmm...which one? DragonDonZ or the flying mikey? |
 Your choice, Machias! Though I think all four are equally cool. I love how the artist captured each of their special moves from the game. Brings back memories.
|
I wish they had one with Splinter in it...
|
Y'mean a videogame with Splinter in it, or a wallpaper with Splinter in it? Either way, I think it'd be cool.
|
Wallpaper!
Say, totally off-topic *searches for off-topic ninjas* I keep hearing Splinter get compared to this Mr. Myagi or something like that. Who is this guy? |
You got me on that one... :???:
|
Well, in some site profile's i've seen, people say Splinter is like a combination of Yoda and a bunch of other really awesome individuals. Even in the pic of the T-shirt that HT had put up in some thread, they said Splinter was like this guy.
|
Waitasec...you two don't know who Mr. Myagi is?? Seriously?? Woah, you both need to rent some Karate Kid movies! Now that you mention it, Mr. Myagi (played by actor Pat Morita) really does remind me of Splinter. He was the wise old teacher to Daniel-San (played by Ralph Machio (sp?)) and eventually becomes sort of like a father figure. IMHO, the first two movies were the best.
|
Oh, I know him!!! I love that guy, he's so neat!
No, sadly i didnt get to watch much karate movies. My dad was into more educational and religious stuff.... *pout* |
oohhh me like new wallpapers! I likey da mikey! but not ready to replace current ARMY OF TMNT PEZ wallpaper  ( from http://www.pezcentral.com/free.html ~ tnx 2 db2) But I used to have a pic of the technodrome in a reddish-looking Demension X setting, and I can't remember what site I got it from, just that it WAS designed to be a Wallpaper.. cna anyone give me any clues on where I could find it again?
~Mica |
Isn't Mr. Myagi the sensei from the Karate Kid movies?
|
To put it bluntly...yes.
|
Just to let you guys know, those wallpapers were scanned from the SNES TF manual. Then a bunch of filters were run over the scans to get the final look you see.
I should know since I did them. Glad you guys like them. |
*applauds for Fugitoid*
Way to go, dude!! Excellent craftsmanship. |
