I was wondering if anybody else on here would be interested in seeing a TMNT characters profile section on here, with all the characters in the TMNT Universe, & all of their stats, etc?

That would be great if anyone is interested in collaborating on this! This is something we have wanted to add to the main site for a long time, so we would be happy to host it there.

Awesome idea, it'd be fun to look through for someone like me especially, who is getting back into the turtles.

What exactly have you in mind? We could always just archive the one Mirage had on their site for ages. I have all of the profile pictures saved, I'm sure the bios could be found via the wayback machine.

If you're looking for in-depth explanations of character/various incarnations, etc. I would help.

I just mean bio's of EVERY TMNT character out there, kinda like how he-man.org does, with he-man, etc. We could include characters like Venus, Pimiko, Rodney Roadkill, Frosty the Hitman, Tora, Shogun, Old Hob, etc. It could have a pic of the character, their bio, 1st app {be it in a comic, live action TV/movie, cartoon, etc.}, their stats {height, weight, group affiliation, etc.} & even, if you want to, we could have different variations of the character like wrestler Ace Duck, & pilot Ace Duck, human Baxter, fly Baxter, African American Baxter, Caucasian Baxter, toy Napoleon Bonafrog, cartoon version, etc. & if we can find enough info on them, we could include prototype characters, too, like for the Mighty Mutanimals cartoon, we could do Ring Tone, & the others. What do you guys think about that?

I've been planning on doing something like this with my site as well. I started one with just copying info from the TMNTpedia but then switched my site to a new format so I need to do it all over again. Would love to see something here as well, the more the better as I always say.

Therein the problem lies. We know plenty of info about most characters, but we have nothing definitive about weight, height, skill, etc.
The only thing close would be the RPG books but really their information's always argued over.

for weight, height, etc, if you guys want, we could have a poll, for each character, with various heights & weights, & which ever wins on each poll will be the chosen ehigt & weight for whichever character it was polled for.

Eh. I think we should just have unbiased summaries of each character - have people volunteer to write a biography of a character (or multiple characters) and as long as the overall fandom agrees that it isn't biased or anything, post it up. What we need is a relative, contemporary bio of each main character (and then secondary) that is based off of all incarnations and includes first and foremost source material and how that character has strayed from the source and what is now commonly accepted in various multimedia. At least, that's my opinion. I'd volunteer to write Donnie and Mikey's. I promise not to be biased. :D

this is definitely a project that i would love to see happen- bios for all the tmnt related characters ever... wow... that's a lot of information that needs to be collected :) if there is any way i can help, let me know!

Well, howabout this, the guys who wanna write the bios, pick, say 5 people you wanna write the bios for, make sure no-one else has chosen the character, then post them on here, & if we all like it, then that's the bio for the character. Then the mods could make a section for said bios, & there you go, we'll have a bio section. :3

You guys should do some character profiles for my TMNT Wiki. Here's the very incomplete profile for Leonardo as a template.

If you send a request to join the wiki, I'll be sure to yet you in (or maybe Krang will, as he's my co-pilot in this operation).

The only guest character I'd really consider giving a profile to is Panda Khan since he's been in so little material and is the obscure out of all those characters. I don't really consider Ninjara, Fugitoid and the Triceratons to be guest characters, but rather proper TMNT characters. Ninjara debuted in the pages of TMNTA and only ever appeared outside the franchise for a three-part back-up serial in the furry anthology comic Furrlough, and since Viacom owns her now, she'll remain a TMNT character until kingdom come (and by "kingdom come", I mean whenever Viacom ever sells/transfers rights of TMNT or any of it's characters, or if, God willing, they ever fall into the public domain. Though I wouldn't mind if someday Murphy and Allen were able to continue off from where the Ninjara serial ended a decade and a half ago, but that's beside the point). And while Fugitoid and the Triceratons were created before TMNT was invented, they've spent the bulk of existence as part of the TMNT franchise (the only time they ever really broke away from TMNT was that "Our Story So Far" jam project featuring a Triceraton, and the two-part Gizmo/Fugitoid crossover miniseries), and, again, are currently owned by Viacom.

And there's already some good sources for information on the Usagi Yojimbo series, and Sarah "Horridus" Hill.

Don't be silly....the only purple dragon called Spike is on My Little Pony. :P

You forgot Space Usagi, who's actually a descendant of Usagi, not really THE Usagi.

Spike from MLP is technically a pink dragon, MAYBE a fuchsia dragon. :trazz::twink:

So..., is anybody working on character bios or stats?

I would say that we list ALL the "official" info we can find about each character, and just list what version of the character it's referencing.

For example, in the Archie "TMNT Mutant Universe Sourcebook", the information for Ace Duck is:

-HEIGHT: 5' 11"
-WEIGHT: 125 lbs.
-HAIR: Yellow (((I know, Ace Duck doesn't have "hair", he has feathers. But the book wrote "hair", so that's how I'm writing it.)))
-EYES: Gold
-GROUP MEMBERSHIP: Intergalactic Wrestling Team
-HOME BASE: Planet Perdufus originally, but more recently, the Stump Asteroid
-FRIENDS:Cryin' Houn'; Trap; other members of the Intergalactic Wrestling Team

But, the "file card" on the back of the Ace Duck action figure reads:

-HEIGHT: 4'6"
-BIRTHPLACE: Peking
-LEAST FAVORITE TIME: Duck hunting season
-LEAST FAVORITE FOOD: Peking Duck

So, there's definitely lots of sources to find information about characters, but all the information won't necessarily match up. That's why I say we give all the information we can find, and just make sure to reference WHERE that information was gotten. (This is from the figure file card, this is from the Archie Source Book, this is from the RPG Source Book, etc, etc.)

If we can't find the specific height / weight / whatever info about a certain character, we shouldn't just make it up. It should just be listed as "unspecified", or "unknown".

I always wanted there to be an official guide to the OT universe. I wish there was something like that published way back in the day. Oh well. Good luck with the project guys!

I think most of us would like to see an official source book. I am wondering if there is one out there already???

Just out of curiosity... who wrote the profiles on the Mirage page? Was that Laird? Are we supposed to take those details to be "canon"?

These lists say nothing without some short description and universe appeareance. (just like: Irma - Channel 6 secretary and April's friend, 1987 cartoon)

According to the action figure cards, April O'Neil's weight has ranged from 99.9 pounds :o to 115 pounds (the original). Then the 2003 April is 125 pounds IIRC.

I'm surprised the people that wrote that stuff didn't eventually go with "not telling" or "it's a secret".

This is a great idea. Need to get ahold of Dan, Pete, Tom, Kevin and see what kind of official info we can get to help with the coralation of information into a cohesive profile. Maybe get some custom profile art commisioned to go whith them so the Technodromes' profiles pages have unique art.
