Nolan North returning to TMNT

Nolan North, who played Raphael in 2007's TMNT, is doing a voice for a currently unknown character for the new show.

Confirmed on Twitter.

Slap-Happy 02-27-2012 01:11 PM

Not that much of a surprise (he's done a lot of various voices in different shows), but still pretty cool to know.

Master Splinter 02-27-2012 01:45 PM

My guess is he is the kraang!

Good catch MS, that'll be interesting to hear.

Ninjinister 02-27-2012 02:21 PM

Nolan North voices everybody already anyway. Even you. And the Nolan North that voices you? Also voiced by Nolan North.

CyberCubed 02-27-2012 02:43 PM

Maybe we'll see Nathan Drake make a cameo.

Lol, I know right. He and KMR must be bajillionaires with the obscene amount of characters they've been voicing the past couple of years.

Crash Bandicoot. Heard it here first!

Jester 02-27-2012 02:58 PM

Sweet. North is awesome.

Edit: Who is Christian Lanz? Sounds familiar...

You don't know Nolan North very well, do ya?

TurtleTitan97 02-27-2012 04:39 PM

The guy who voiced Raph in 2007 is on the show? That's awesome! This keeps getting better and better.

this is sort of a secret... but i will share it with you anyway... voice actors are allowed to voice more than one character on the same show ;)

Ninjinister 02-27-2012 05:09 PM

For Chrissake, he's Nolan North!

gobo 02-27-2012 05:14 PM

Isn't there a limit to how many characters an actor can portray in any production though?

TheCanadiandrome 02-27-2012 05:20 PM

Very cool news

pannoni1 02-27-2012 05:31 PM

We've had two Leos in The Legend of Koji, two Shredders in Leatherhead: Terror of the Swamps, two Mikeys in one Season 9 episode I can't remember, and now three Raphs in one show! I can't wait to see the credits if there are any other notable guest voices.

3 on one contract, then the 4th is a separate contract with separate pay.

so he could voice the thousands, if not millions of kraangs... he would just need thousands, if not millions of contracts :)

Well aren't they all part of a hive-mind? They might all have the same voice.

Or, maybe he's doing one of them and each of the other actors is also doing one. They're not going to have "thousands" of different Kraang voices throughout the season.

The Showdown.

I know that's how it used to be, but I'm sure Jest is up to date on that stuff.

That's theater.

Slap-Happy 02-27-2012 08:37 PM

Does it count if it's the same voice for hundreds of copies of the same model?

I know he used a few different voices for random thugs in Arkham City.

Uki 02-27-2012 09:11 PM

That's nifty! :)

ToTheNines 02-28-2012 03:23 PM

It'd be so awesome if they somehow got Josh Pais and Greg Abbey to get in on this show as well.

Gyt Kaliba 02-28-2012 04:30 PM

Interesting, especially the tweet from Astin making it seem like he'll be Kraang or one of the Kraang or however the heck that does end up working. :P

I'm hoping that by a stroke of luck we'll hear other former Turtles actors as the show goes on too.

Awesome. Be sure to let us know who he'll be voicing if he says.

Nolan North is such an amazing voice actor. He was great as the Penguin in Batman: Arkham City.

Who was the second Leo in The Legend of Koji? BTW isn't kind of odd how they didn't ask Rob or Nolan to play Raph?

ToTheNines 04-23-2012 06:41 PM

Brian Tochi played Yoku in White Belt Black Heart. And no.

Can't really speak for North here, but Rob's voice wouldn't fit the image of Raph that used today. The OT Raph is different from the current more angsty, hothead.
