Turtle Copter?

http://img2.imagesbn.com/images/166260000/166260128.JPG
As you see in the top left there is a helicopter behind Donatello. Any thoughts?

Zany Orange Dude 04-15-2012 10:41 AM

You know, I never really thought much about the fact there was a helicopter in the picture. It probably is something either Donnie put together or "borrowed" from one of the villains. My question is...who the heck is driving it? Surely April can't fly a helicopter a her age.:tconfuse: But then again I guess there is the autopilot function.

TurtleTitan97 04-15-2012 10:43 AM

My guess is April is driving it.

You're probably right but my question is how the heck did she learn how to drive it at her age?

Us teenagers are very resourceful when it comes to this sort of stuff.:twink:

Well, she's supposed to be clever and tech-savvy like Donnie, right? And I'm sure he could have taught her how to fly it, if he himself built it. :tgrin:

True, I just hope its not a, "Oh look, Don taught me how to fly in one day!" sort of thing. But like you said she is supposed to be smart so I guess it does make sense.:tsmile:

ToTheNines 04-15-2012 12:22 PM

It's a frigging coloring book guys.

Drose18 04-15-2012 01:40 PM

I hope they make a toy that fits at least four figs!

cryan 04-15-2012 02:12 PM

Hey April flew a chopper in the 2003 version and she was suppose to be in her 20's.

You're right! Psh- what was I thinking!:tlol: The internet has information on everything!

Maybe April steals Huey, Dewy, and Louie's Junior Woodchuck Guidebook. That book has a 'How to Fly a Rocket' section, so maybe it has one on helicopters.:twink:

But for some reason I can accept that more than a 16 year old learning to fly one. Eh, I am probably looking way too deep into this. It's a cartoon that is about mutant turtles after all.:P:twink:

BubblyShell22 04-15-2012 08:10 PM

Yeah, I can accept 2K3 April driving a helicopter more than I can accept a sixteen-year-old April driving one. But we'll see.

Zany Orange Dude 04-16-2012 08:19 AM

Who knows maybe April helps Donnie build it.:trazz: Or perhaps Don makes the controls so simple she anyone can fly it. Then there is the slight possibility of Casey flying it.

Venom 04-16-2012 11:59 AM

Teenagers can learn to fly. I had a classmate in high school whose dad bought him flying lessons.

Then, agaon, there are kids these days who learn to fly using Flight Sim, so it's definitely not that far fetched to believe.

1984TMNT 04-16-2012 04:48 PM

Ever think that perhaps, this is just a helicopter - police, new, or otherwise? Not sure how stealth the TMNT are going to be in this universe, but pretty sure that it's probably one of the two I mentioned above trying to follow / get more information about the boys rather than it being a Turtle vehicle.

Donatello is holding onto the Helicopter so it is obviously theirs.

Um... What?

Ravenxl7 04-17-2012 12:28 AM

Probably just a random police chopper. Donny holding onto it like that doesn't necessarily mean it belongs to them. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for this coloring book. My nephew likes to color, and this would be perfect for him.

Not to mention the helicopter looks greenish.

Yeah, zooming in on the image, it's definitely green. Still doesn't mean it's the turtle's...

Stingray69 04-19-2012 06:53 PM

I'm down for a turtle coptor I mean in the ot they had the blimp and 2k3 april flew a helicopter. So the nick toon might have a flying mobile. Could also be Casey flying it isn't he a little older then April?

It's the turtles, it doesn't have to make sense.:D

ToTheNines 04-22-2012 07:40 AM

I wasn't going to come back to this highly philosophical thread, but writer Russ Carney said on Twitter that Donnie's hanging off of a regular old helicopter.

pannoni1 04-22-2012 07:43 PM

There was a Turtlecopter toy produced back in 1990, and in the OT April used a Channel 6 copter a few times. Maybe it could be like the Turtle Van, where the regular old van by Baxter Stockman soon became the Turtle Van. But since we don't need multiple flying devices, now would be a good time for the Turtle Copter to shine.

Thanks for clearing that up in a highly philosophical way.:twink:

That all depends on how old you have to be to actually get a pilot's license, I think. I think teenagers canb get one, if they qualify for one, but I don't know, as it probably depends on the rules of whatever state that you're living in.:tconfuse:

Good point. Didn't think of that.:)

I have to say that this is the best piece of the Nick turtles I have seen so far, I wish they wouldn't use CGI for the series......:ohwell: hopefully I will get use to it
