The one thing I dislike about these message boards is being unable to see who people really are! For all we know Mr. Turtle could be mentally challenged, but there's also a chance he might be some @$$hole thinking it's fun to annoy people.

I was hoping that tags would be a useful tool for promoting orderly thought and navigating the forums' extensive archives, but sadly they seem to be degenerating into pointless in-jokes and insults.

Don't get me wrong, the system hasn't jumped the shark yet, but it may be on that trajectory.

I didn't think that particular one was your sort of humor. Even though I wish there was some sort of penalty for compulsive dumb thread starting, I don't think Tag abuse is the way to go.
