Why was my thread locked?
 

Why is it that a thread is locked even though people are being civil to each other?I started that thread to sort out the problems that some members have with me and I have with them. I said stuff that most people are thinking but are afraid to say . Why do mods here try and silence a conversation that has not gtten out of hand? Wow. Way to go. Are we not adults?

The Mods around here do't do anything but abuse their own frakin' power. If I am being civil and trying to discuss something I feel is an issue with this community, why am I being silenced? I am breaking no rules but still this forum protects it's ''high ranking'' members and we who speak the truth are put to the side like garbage. Did I just come out and say I hate this place and everyone here? No. I didn't. But some people I guess get the special treatment and as soon as I try and call them out, my thread gets locked.

Not all the mods, but a select few here just are not very fair.

As for the thread, I agree with who you think isn't funny. A lot.

You're just like the rest. You seem to be confused, son. So let me help you out. I started that thread BECAUSE I like this forum and I hate to see it's top ranking members control this place and scare off anyone who doesn't absolutly devote their life to the turtles.

Because you were being an outright a**hole about it by calling some of the members out like that. It was rude what you said about Gobo, Jester, and the others that you called out. You were't being civil at all the way I read it. So, that's why they locked it. And like Nines said, if you don't like what happens here, just leave. I admit, I've gotten into disagreements with members before, but I'm not going to let that stop me from enjoying this place and the rest of the people here. If you don't want to deal with these people, then just ignore them. Plain and simple.

For starters it was off-topic, having nothing whatsoever to do with TMNT.

If you can't see where a thread like that was heading, calling out members trying to incite an argument, then you are blind. Take it to a PM or something.

Some new member in that thread agreed that this place can be hostile at times.
If you are that sensitive, use your own advice and don't be affected by my thread. I wanted to confront the problems I have with some people on here, problems that I know for a fact other people have, but I guess some people just can't deal with it on here. I'm not leaving. I'll stick around. Unless of course they ban me, which wouldn't really suprise me now.

You're telling someone that they are too sensitive...in a thread that you created to be overly sensitive...about a thread...that was locked...because you were being overly sensitive.

Oh man, you are a genius. It must be sooo nice to have you buddies on Facebook back you up on this forum. I started that thread to voice my opinion on some things that are wrong on here, but I should've know that you and the other would just blow this off as ''whining''.

My apologies bout the Mr. Lock issue, Grimlock. I kinda got carried away with shortening names sometimes.

It wasn't blown off as whining. It was blown off as mud slinging. Which is was.

The problem is that you called out specific members and started blasting them. Now, if you wanted to state that you had a problem with certain members but didn't want to name any names, that would've been fine. But you called out the people and used the wrong section as well. You were just being a jerk. I call it like I see it. I'm not being sensitive about anything, I'm just telling you why your thread was locked. Get over it.

All my ''douch'' posts got pointed out RIGHT AWAY. But everyone else around here who is a jerk to new members never get called out or get in trouble.

the thread was locked because it was looking like it would cause controversy...come on dude, a list of names and why you dislike said person is a pretty big red flag. it wasnt about who was on the list, as if they were "top shelf" members or something... just let it lie... as George Carlin always said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar- but sometimes it's a big brown d*^%... this incident was a cigar- don't make this a big brown d*^% :)

Yeah, it was the way your post was worded and your attitude within the post that set the mods off. Kudos to them for locking it.

You made a thread purely for the intent of starting trouble. What made you think everyone would be "on your side" with torches and pitchforks with comments like that? The lock was intended to avoid an obvious flame war.

If you have a problem with someone, come talk to us and don't be a guy on a soapbox. We'll handle it.

Dude, the general consensus seems to be that you were in the wrong. Do you not see a pattern in the tone of replies you are getting in this thread?

Now, I didn't. I was called out for being a douch first on their little facebook group. Then when I turn around and call them on the stuff that they do, It's the end of the world. I know that none of them will agree, so I guess I will just leave it at that.

But Grimlock I agree with your original thread, I think longer standing members make new members feel like outsides.... I don't think most of them do it purposefully though..... Older member have developed certain relationships with certain members and actually enjoy communicating with those members....

But I also agree with what Powder said about some new members exploiting the buy/sell thread and not actually want to be apart of the community......

I am sorry that new members feel like outsiders.....but I think we all need to be considerate of everyone on here

the main difference there is that technodrome rules do not apply on facebook- so saying that you did xyz here in response to something that happened outside of the technodrome is not equal.

The facebook page is not an official extension of this site. It is completely unofficial. Shredder and Krang have nothing to do with it. So to take something from the facebook page (which is pretty much jam packed full of the people you hate) and bring it back here to make a stink about it... was probably the wrong call.

Grimlock is cool as far as I'm concerned. Saying true things isn't dickish from where I stand. The 'casuals' garbage is obnoxious and sad.

Also his opinions on Gobo and Jester are respectable.
