Plot Description

This might of been posted already, I honestly don't know, so forgive me if it has. But I recently found this on Tumblr, a plot description for the new movie.

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4...rup1o1_500.png

My god that sounds horrible. Not even the fact the Michael Bay dropped out from the director chair and is just producer now will save this movie.

Jester 05-19-2012 11:34 PM

When was Michael Bay ever more than a producer?

KROW 05-19-2012 11:38 PM

"...inadvertently spawn..."

Sounds like Utroms, to me.

Ravenxl7 05-19-2012 11:41 PM

My first reaction to this is that it's probably fake (source?). Though if it were somehow true, it actually doesn't sound that bad, imho. Helps that it's such a basic description that the movie could go pretty much anywhere from here.

Assuming this description were true, it sounds as though the turtles wouldn't be aliens, but their origin would be tied into the aliens coming to Earth (sound familiar to anyone?). Only real difference I'm seeing here is that the aliens in this would be a threat, rather than peaceful. Which would tie into the new show's race of Kraang.

Powder 05-19-2012 11:50 PM

Tumblr is not a source of credible information. Bay was never director. Bad dog. *whacks you with a newspaper*

Leonardo87 05-20-2012 12:28 AM

I bet you people are going to see this and complain even more about it. Just wait; it will happen.

Donnie 05-20-2012 12:33 AM

Honestly doesn't sound that bad of an origin twist as long as the "aliens" are Utroms.

ZariusTwo 05-20-2012 03:38 AM

Triceratons would be a better fit than Utroms as far as antagonists go. The only think that sort of hints we'd see Utroms are the fact the Turtles origins need to be tied to them.

Spitfire 05-20-2012 04:23 AM

Unless they completely rewrote the Utroms the turtles would have no reason to rise against them. Anyways I agree this is most likely completely false.

Bob 05-20-2012 04:21 PM

It’s been on the IMDB page for the film for a few months now, and I presume that’s where they got it from. As we all know, anyone can edit IMDB pages.

Mr.Turtle 05-21-2012 01:54 PM

i hope the big boss behind all this is bishop...once again the turtles fight against bishop but this time in the big screen!

I wouldn't rule that out.

The new cartoon has a new spin on the Utroms or "The Kraang" that has them as villains creating a mutant army. I wouldn't be too suprised if the movie went with a similar story.

If it's something of a secret invasion with the Utroms or Kraangs masquerading as humans waiting for the right time to takeover then that might work but I would have rather avoid overt sci fi storylines in the first movie and save that for the sequel. Even then I'd prefer a sci fi based movie to be faithful to what we've seen before.

MikeandRaph87 05-21-2012 04:26 PM

While info like that can be taken like a grain of salt it does sound like the utroms who do accidently unleash a mutagenic substance that spawns the Ninja Turtles. Also,Krang could attempt an invasion and the turtles have to stop it.That would be perfectly fine. That takes care of the alien connection that has been in place since Vol.1#4.Not to mention get a cool and established villian with it if Shredder won't be used. Not some made for movie opponent we got in 3 and TMNT.

Just made this!

Koi 05-21-2012 07:32 PM

I saw this topic's picture on tumblr as well... I just didn't think that the topic's picture had any credibility so I avoided posting it here.

Also, I don't think that made up plot is all that bad. Sounds interesting to say the least.

What I just made that I got inspiration from others that said smurfs or biker mice from mars. I made that one!

Koi 05-21-2012 07:38 PM

...... No.

The Stryker 05-21-2012 07:49 PM

I'm leaning towards believing him.

The pictures DOES look like it was made by an unfunny child.

Uh thanks.

Donnie 05-21-2012 07:57 PM

Be easy be easy...

The Utroms trying to take over in a secret invasion with Krang as their leader would be a great idea, to be honest. Against the original comics, but that could make for a really cool story line if executed properly.

Jester 05-21-2012 07:58 PM

Wait...The Furious 5 are aliens?

Yes and no really. The utroms are resposibile for the mutagen that mutated the turtles and Splinter. That is Mirage. While Krang being their leader is other media. It can still be true to the black and white comics and the other media that made it great at the same time! Win-win if executed correctly! Maybe it can in a different way just as the first movie did both and its own at the same time.

They dont exactly look like humans or mutants.

Jester 05-22-2012 06:45 AM

Are there even humans in the Kung-Fu Panda universe?

Because they're just talking animals. I really hope you're doing a bit and not actually that dumb.

Sebastion in Little Mermaid? Alien.

Jester 05-22-2012 07:02 AM

Mickey, Donald, Goofy and all their related characters = ALIENS!!

Toby Barrett 05-22-2012 12:26 PM

This entire time, Elmer has been trying to save the world from an alien rabbit invasion!

zodiacdigital 05-22-2012 05:18 PM

yep imdb probably the source for that, and probably added by some random guy. so totally fake.

that being said it's not a bad plot. it's so broad that it could be great or it could be awful or it anywhere in between. decent idea though.

TonySiegel 05-22-2012 06:39 PM

*awaits the obligatory wait for a trailer or for the movie to be released before passing judgement post*

michael bay's involvement means that nothing good can come from this... except lots of green, lots and lots of green... :x

Zany Orange Dude 05-22-2012 07:18 PM

It's hard to judge something off of one sentence. Who knows maybe this movie will surprise us and be epic...Hey I can dream can't I!:trazz:

Right. Because Troma movies are sooooo good.

Don't worry about facts! I gotta be angry and whiny on the internet!

Powder 05-22-2012 07:43 PM

Hey, I'd kill for a Troma TMNT movie. They know they make crappy flicks, it's part of the fun.

The Stryker 05-22-2012 07:47 PM

Except that they aren't fun at all. They're all overly long and excrutiatingly boring. Its not about them being so bad they're good. They're just awful unfunny pieces of trash.

Maybe for a mirage movie.

Powder 05-22-2012 08:17 PM

If I don't like something, it sucks.

Mr.Turtle 05-22-2012 08:26 PM

i wonder what bishop would look like in 3D animation ha or in real...

Whaaaatever. Troma is just a thing people like to say they enjoy because they think it makes them against the grain cool and anti-mainstream. I can enjoy a sh*tty movie just fine but....man. Those movies are painful.

Bishop needs to go away too.

I didn't know that!!!! I guess I should of… Now I feel dumb….:tconfuse:
But ANYWAY!!!
:tgrin:I would be totally happy if this was real, and the turtles themselves weren’t the aliens.:tgrin:

Mr.Turtle 05-22-2012 09:01 PM

I don't at all think that's an unfair thing to say, but I genuinely enjoy a bunch of their stuff. Really only for cosmetic reasons, though. I like rubber monster suits and lots of gore.

Jester 05-23-2012 12:23 AM

The only Troma movie I attempted to watch was Tromeo and Juliet...and I couldn't finish it. I ought to try the Toxie flicks, though.
