With Ryan Wilton bowing out due to his full-time job, we are left with a problem: we are down an artist but this is still a project I'd like to see through.

Before opening things up to DeviantArt and all that, I thought I'd post this to some Dromers and see if there's any interest within the talent pool around here. Feel free to post samples of work below or links to your work for consideration.

We've got a lot of talented artists on here, but it'll be tough finding someone who can pull off something close to that style!

It needn't be close to that style. But something tonally similar, and of that level of detail and realism.

Jephael 06-25-2012 09:35 PM

Wish I could help, though to be honest I usually prefer to see the TMNT meet up with super heroes, not ghoulish creatures from space. Good luck with the search!

DonatelloFan 06-25-2012 09:58 PM

I hope I'm not being an ass for just posting without having enough talent to enter the search, but I just wanted to say good luck, and if it pans out, I can't wait to see it.

Mr.Turtle 06-25-2012 10:08 PM

good sketches tho leo's beak could be wider...

Lordmylar06 06-25-2012 11:08 PM

I'm interested in trying out for this.

I'm pretty flexible in style and while not too consistently hyper-realistic in detail and more prone to draw in a cartoony style, I'm sure that you'll find in looking through my gallery that I can attain that level of detail. Especially when the story calls for it.

Here's my gallery link:

Thanks for opening this up here on the forums!

Someone sent me a PM on this! I can't think of a project my style would be MORE inappropriate for. I think you need a Rob Liefeld or a Jim Lee type.

There are a million, million talented people on the Internet but, well, for example, the project I'm working on now takes me a full day to complete a page. That's a huge commitment to ask from someone if there's no money involved. I'm as big a Turtle fan as anyone, but sheesh!

Still - good luck! Eager to see how it pans out!

I haven't really done anything like this for quite some time, but here is some of my stuff.

I am totally up for this and have been wanting to do more heavier inks.
But my summer is pretty crazy and will not have any time for another month and a half.

***First of Two Latin Kings*** 06-28-2012 09:04 PM

You should just assign each person interested one or two pages, Andrew.

A month and a half wait wouldn't be a deal breaker. I looked at your DA and I don't see much in the way of comic book-ish art, though... any examples of such?

Out of the question. That would utterly destroy anything in the way of consistency.

Fair enough... :tconfuse::tconfuse::tconfuse::tconfuse:

Cowabunga Carl 07-05-2012 09:55 PM

Have you found an artist Andrew? Just wondering cause well I really hope you do as I think this would make an amazing comic.

zkarlette 07-05-2012 10:59 PM

This looks like a great project, pretty badass.

Nelson 07-06-2012 12:51 AM

It's going to be a little awkward if no one from the forum gets picked...

Powder 07-06-2012 01:13 AM

Why would it be?

Mr.Turtle 07-06-2012 07:58 AM

in that case...u can pick me.

No, not yet.

Dane E5R 07-09-2012 09:31 PM

Good. Based on the strength of the work you've shown, it would be a crime if you were to settle.

Jester 07-09-2012 09:45 PM

When I saw you posted, I was like "YES! Dane's gonna try and do it!"

But then that wasn't it at all... :P

Cowabunga Carl 07-09-2012 10:54 PM

Yeah I would hate to see you settle. Have you ever thought of turning this story into a short novella?

No. But I've considered doing it as an action figure short film.

Cowabunga Carl 07-09-2012 11:40 PM

That could be a lot of fun. Would you do it as a silent film, narration, or find voice actors?

Full on. Kinda like I did here:

But I can do a lot better now.

Maybe you should reconsider that idea. Any excuse for me to reprise my Mikey voice from The Hal and Kyle Show is a good one!!! :tgrin:

Dane E5R 07-11-2012 11:57 PM

Hahaha, sorry, Jester. When it comes to these sorta things, I'm a commitment phobe; especially with sequential art. However, if there's ever a need for pin-up style artwork in this project, I may be interested.

I love the AVP universe and I am a die hard TMNT fan since issue 1 volume 1. So I might as well give it a shot since I am in no danger of bowing out for a full time job, (im retired lol) so plenty of time to kill. I do a variety of styles so be sure to check each page of the gallery to see my range. I prefer working in pencils and I tend when Im workin on my own projects to experiment alot with photoshop and mangastudio renders. Anyway heres hoping I can bepart of one of your TMNT projects. If u want me to draw predator lemme know, been awhile since I have sketched the Yautja but I am sure I can get back into the feel. Id also be interested in a pinup or short story if you choose someone else for the main comic.

hey ive seen your stuff on DA a while back. very nice work. i just fav'd a bunch of it.

Cowabunga Carl 08-02-2012 07:19 PM

Dude, I just got done watching the first Predator movie and if this project doesn't happen it will be a shame. I'd love just having a poster of Leo facing off against the Predator if nothing else.

Andrew NDB 08-02-2012 07:27 PM

I promise it will happen.

Cowabunga Carl 08-02-2012 07:33 PM

Any chances of selling that picture as a poster sized print?

Brodie 08-05-2012 09:05 PM

That art is already pretty slick. Whats your time frame?

Non-existent. But my goal is within a year.

JakeSully 08-05-2012 11:06 PM

Sounds promising, it should be a crossover comic from IDW and Dark Horse

Andrew NDB 12-22-2012 02:19 AM

Still looking...

Diorm 02-12-2015 02:53 PM

If the artist that did the page with the Triceraton isnt in the project anymore, then what will you do with the beautiful peace of work? Will it make it in the final product?

Tartaruhga Muhtante 03-01-2015 06:35 AM

WOW, TRiceraton X Predator..

The thing is gonna be serious!! I like It!!

Mew 03-01-2015 06:38 AM

Nice bro!
:D
