General Traag is now 17 ft tall and spits out lava?

For instance, General Traag is now 17 feet tall and “vomits lava."
I am not sure I like the idea of Traag now being some giant rock monster. I hope he's still intelligent and not some mindless beast.

Zany Orange Dude 07-15-2012 10:27 AM

Cool, I didn't know he was going to be in this. Wow he is pretty tall.

Cowabunga Carl 07-15-2012 10:31 AM

Aren't we already talking about this in the Dimension X thread?

Hero 07-15-2012 11:23 AM

I suggest a merge. :)

Mr.Turtle 07-15-2012 11:45 AM

Rob Paulsen is tall...

Wasn't General Traag a giant rock monster?

CyberCubed 07-15-2012 01:25 PM

No he was 6 ft tall.

TheCanadiandrome 07-15-2012 02:46 PM

wow! how they make a figure of him? same height as the Giant Krang's Android body?

TurtleTitan97 07-15-2012 02:49 PM

I think General Traang looks and sounds awesome! Can't wait to see him in action against the turtles.

CyberCubed 07-15-2012 02:56 PM

Screens? .....

I'm sure once I see the new 17 foot General Traag, it's gonna remind me of the rock monsters in the 80's toon episode Rock Around The Block.

gobo 07-15-2012 05:10 PM

What about Granitor?

They didn't say anything about Granitor, but it appears this is a pretty different take. Traag doesn't even seem to be a general, I don't think.

I wonder what Playmates thinks about this, lol. No way we're getting a Traag that's 5X the size of the Turtles.

if he is a rock monster, he might actually be pretty good as a one piece per villain character and put them together kind of thing

Completely agree

I loved seeing the sketched they had for him

sdp 07-15-2012 08:15 PM

I'm unsure how I feel about Traag, while the turtles fighting a giant rock monster sounds awesome, I'll miss having rock soldiers. They were seldomly used in the OT, and It'd have been nice to see them used to their full potential in this series.

Cowabunga Carl 07-15-2012 08:50 PM

It would be fun to see the basic rock soldiers as Traag's henchmen. Like he is the deity or leader.

CyberCubed 07-16-2012 08:36 AM

I wonder why they're still calling him "General Traag" instead of just, "Traag."

That might mean he still has an army. Otherwise what the hell is he a general of?

He was an unnamed character who appeared in one episode. I doubt they would use him.

Mr.Turtle 07-16-2012 10:49 AM

i think General Traag with his guns r way cooler... i dont buy the lava monster thing...

Cowabunga Carl 07-16-2012 10:56 AM

I like that they are changing things up with some characters. That instead of being a carbon copy of things that have happened before. Giving some of these generic characters a makeover is great. I mean honestly he didn't do much in the OT, and being muscle he has yet to do anything in IDW. This gives the character a purpose and hopefully a back story.

Nicely said, Old Hob. :tsmile: I have to agree, why would we want the exact same thing as the OT? 2k12 is giving the character a chance to actually do something this time around.

change is good but this kinda change is not good coz it changes too much n lost too much things frm the original work. n i dont think makeovers will do anything except making him look goof. n i think muscle is welcomed by the majority of the viewers. point delivered.

TheCanadiandrome 07-16-2012 02:03 PM

thanks for the links

Mr.Turtle 07-16-2012 02:12 PM

why cant they give him lava guns instead?

marcelangelo 07-16-2012 02:23 PM

thank you allio!I just came down to see if some nice fellow turtles fan has uploaded this in soem form I can see it;)

Cowabunga Carl 07-16-2012 03:56 PM

I just wonder how they will do a figure of this kind? Will they go the Marvel Universe route and release a huge figure like the Sentinel or Glactus, or go with a build a figure like the Marvel Legends line.

CyberCubed 07-17-2012 10:38 PM

I can't imagine them fighting General Traag in New York, too many witnesses.

They probably have a Dimension X adventure.

ninjafowlkes8705 07-21-2012 12:11 PM

i suggest it can be both like lava and rock

Mr.Turtle 07-21-2012 07:16 PM

i suggest he can shoot lava thru his guns.
