Very nice!

Drose18 08-17-2012 04:54 PM

Awesome cover! Cant wait for this one.
What are they fighting? a big turtle?

oldmanwinters 08-17-2012 04:59 PM

Am I right in thinking that the preview cover has been temporarily censored so as not to spoil the surprise?

that's correct. ;)

TurtleTitan97 08-17-2012 05:12 PM

That is a totally awesome cover! :)

CyberCubed 08-17-2012 05:23 PM

With all this side stuff happening, one has to wonder when is Krang's story arc that has been brewing since the first issue finally going to unfold? It's almost as if they're purposely delaying it.

I want to see the Turtles fight the Rock Soldiers and meet Krang.

I thought this at first but wasn't sure. The cover still looks nice blacked out.

Sweet cover, Campbell.:tgrin:

Spoiler:
I take it that Slash may be the monster that will show up in the April-Micro since the solicit for that foreshadowed that something will be coming for the Turtles. Either that or it'll be General Kraang's "Plan B."

Great!

Sadly, these types of cover reveals just about always get leaked a few weeks before the actual comic comes out. :tgrin:

Powder 08-17-2012 06:09 PM

Badass. Cool to see we'll get Slash. Seems a bit early for a 5th turtle, but considering who it is, who could be mad?
Always good to see more of Ross' work though!

Heather Breckel 08-17-2012 06:16 PM

Can't wait to see the uncensored cover!

LeoNerdo 08-17-2012 08:17 PM

I'm excited if this is Slash. My most anticipated issue so far..

well if that's who we all think it is, you certainly knocked that cover out the park Ross.

Xav 08-17-2012 08:22 PM

Maybe it's Kirby?

Sophie Campbell 08-17-2012 09:36 PM

thanks for the kind words on the cover, everyone! but you're all wrong. it's not Slash.

it's Venus.

Hahahah... Venus gained few pounds. Excellent cover Ross... so far anyway. Can't wait to see the full picture.

DonatelloFan 08-17-2012 10:12 PM

Love, love, LOVE the cover. Can't wait to see the uncensored cover. Great job!!

Look at this troublemaker right here!!

Lampy 08-17-2012 10:21 PM

to be honest... they should've done more to censor it... because now we know it is a turtle.

CyberCubed 08-17-2012 10:24 PM

What if its Metalhead? Its a Turtle shape just bigger and more robotic.

Could be... or that turtlemech(?) from the 4kids show. Or it could be Tokka. On his own for once. Either way if its a shout out to previous incarnations... we only have a few to guess from.

CyberCubed 08-17-2012 10:58 PM

Well given the confirmation it obvious IS Slash, but I was just saying you could imagine Metalhead there.

I do wonder why they're bringing in Slash so early. The Turtles have only been mutated for a little over a year, and they only JUST reunited with Raphael. After this short time there's already a 5th mutant Turtle?

I think they should have just introduced Leatherhead first if they wanted another mutant reptile around. Him bonding with the Turtles would be similar to Mirage and 4kids Leatherhead too.

Zulithe 08-17-2012 11:57 PM

Loving it. This is the kind of cover that should get new readers to pick it up and look. It's a striking cover.

Interested in seeing how the Kuhn's interiors turned out!

Considering they've done everything to imply its him besides blurting his name out...

Ninjinister 08-19-2012 09:54 PM

Like Alopex started out as sort of an expy of Ninjara, this is actually going to be a totally new character that is somewhat like Slash... named Slice.

Donnie 08-19-2012 10:22 PM

Simply AMAZING work as usual, Ross! :D

Jester 08-19-2012 10:29 PM

I just noticed that Tokkash seems to be munching on Donnie's bo. Maybe it IS Tokka

CyberCubed 08-19-2012 10:48 PM

It does seem like Slash is very big. Look at how small the turtles look compared to him.

Eiko 08-19-2012 11:01 PM

Wow very nice can't wait to see who that is on the cover.

ToTheNines 08-20-2012 08:03 AM

I find it interesting that the RI cover is going to reflect actual content. That's a first for this book, isn't it?

CyberCubed 08-21-2012 04:05 PM

I bet Ross Campbell's Slash on the cover will look a hell of a lot better than Andy's in the interior. It may actually be quite a let down to look at two artists takes on him and see the inferior one in the story.

Thanks. You just bummed me the hell out.

Uncensored version.

Wonderfully creepy face Campbell drew on him, too. Looks like we have an actual challenger to Terracide Slash, which was the best drawn Slash to date. Excellent, for the cover, anyway.

Quite understandable. I'm more flexible on Kuhn than you guys are, but I won't be if he messes up on Slash. We have a potentially badass Slash, not seen since the mid-90's, so the expectations are high (and will be with me). Someone send the 09 re-release figure to Kuhn, with a note, "don't mess him up."

Matches Malone 08-29-2012 04:25 PM

Spoiler:
He's got a tail! Why couldn't our turtles have tails?

What re-release figure are YOU talking about? :tconfuse:
