Mirage pulled a joke on the Newbies!
 

They updated the profiles page so the characters that are in the new show now have new profiles based on the new show thus giving the impression that the other charactors are part of the same continuity. :lol:

I don't think it was a joke, they just updated the profiles page. Should they have created a second one for new show?

I think just re-orginized the page, to include "new series" and "old series"

It'd be easier if they just put up a disclaimer that most of the profiles are of characters from the original cartoon and will most likely never show up on the new series.

My only complain is, why didn't they keep Michael Dooney's artwork of the TMNT up though? I think that was kind of dumb cause you can see so many other pics of the new TMNT characters elsewhere on the website. I don't see why it had to be updated at all.

But I think they just changed the pictures. The content is still the same (cause I have made a mental note they had listed that Don likes sushi since... 1997!) It's an old argument I had with a friend. She said the old cartoon Don hates sushi, but the profile on Mirage sez he loves it. :D

April's and Casey's are ALL new, however.

They have been there forever.

its kind of obvious that mike's is still the same as before, by the way they made "him" talk :P

all they did was update some of the pictures with ones from the new one, that is the only thing that has changed from before...
they havn't been sneaky, they just changed the pics

They rewrote April's and Casey's. They left the other ones alone except for the pic change of course.

Actually, on the TMNT, I think they changed the height and weight stats, but that's it.

so now they're are more fat and small? or taller and more slim?

Errr... looks like they got a touch taller and heavier. Before, they all had different heights and weights, as well, and now they're all the same.

well, in the old cartoon they always talked about Mikey eating pizza, so he was probably more fat... but that's the only thing i can think of as a diffrence between them (in their height and weight of course)

If you watch the first episode from the old series, none of the turtles like sushi. Only master splinter... I think Don even made a wise crack about it.

I kinda remember that actually, there was an ep where I think april brought pizza for the TMNT and Sushi for Splinter and Splinter offered the sushi to them, and Don said a joke about how disgusting it is

I think it was the first episode, when they were all eating their junkified pizza and April was eating Splinter's sushi, and she says something like "How can you guys eat that junk?" and Don goes "How can YOU eat raw fish???"

That's the one. Infact Don's exact words were "How can you eat raw fish? Blehck!"

Then I guess the old carton is not the status quo when they were creating the Turtles Profiles. They had Don listed as liking sushi since I first came across the site in 1997, dammit! :P

Yeah I remember that actually, that was when I first got the net and I stumbled up on the site!

To me, they wanted to post the profiles of the characters that have been part of the TMNT universe since it was formed.
