Nickelodeon TMNT Legos Coming in 2013

The Nickelodeon TMNT are getting a line of Legos in 2013. Here is a link

http://www.hothbricks.com/

Most of it is in spanish, but you could make out the words "TMNT Confirmation 2013". This is Pretty cool, i can't wait to see what the sets look like!

Here is a post on when it was a rumor: http://www.hothbricks.com/2012/09/la...our-lego-tmnt/

and here is the post where it was confirmed: http://www.hothbricks.com/2012/09/le...ion-pour-2013/

Could anyone try to translate this?

gobo 09-03-2012 10:29 AM

It's not spanish, it's french, but it basically says that the deal is official and they'll begin releasing stuff in january 2013, and that they're hoping to get some more information in NY Comic Con.

^^^ he's right but if you want to see the whole thing in english here it is

A reliable, highly reliable even tells me that LEGO will actually offer products licensed TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) with an official launch date announced for January 2013.
No details on the contents of this range for now, but we can assume that LEGO will be based on the animated series with the launch on 29 September on the American channel Nickelodeon ( see press release ).
can therefore taken for granted the appearance of the TMNT license from LEGO for next year. Hopefully the New York Comic Con to be held from October 11 to 14, 2012 will bring us more about this new range ...
Small clarification: The above image is not the range in question is a montage put together by yours truly ... I say this in case you find yourself image and moreover that you sell as a official visual ...

Zulithe 09-03-2012 11:49 AM

WHAT! No. Freaking. WAY!!!!

I have been so in love with LEGO these last few years, obsessively collecting all of the DC and Marvel Superhero lines along with the LotR line. I'm eagerly anticipating the new Hobbit line as well as more LotR stuff.

But I never thought we'd get TMNT... This is going to be awesome :)

You can already imagine how they would look. Easy to make their shells slip on just like a LEGO Backpack/Jetpack does on many minifigures.

LEGO Yoda (clone wars version) is one of the coolest looking figures... you wouldn't think he would translate to LEGO very well but he does... I can't wait to see how Splinter looks.

Zulithe 09-03-2012 11:52 AM

Brick Show reporting this news :)

zkarlette 09-03-2012 12:50 PM

This isn't really surprising, mega blocks did a really good job with their line for the 4 kids show. You could also mix them up With regular lego's.

ToSte 09-03-2012 01:20 PM

Mix Lego with Mega Bloks? Gross.

pannoni1 09-03-2012 02:36 PM

Looks like it will just miss the holidays, so let's hope that holiday sales and Season 1 is good so they can sell! In terms of the products I'd like to see, let's have the Turtles, Shredder, a Kraang Alien, a Foot Soldier, Splinter, April, and perhaps Dogpound and Fishface. Ultimately, I hope that the sewer lair is released since it would have the biggest fun factor and allow many of the figures to be played upon.

Too bad this concept wasn't released during the Fred Wolf era since I'm sure I would have asked for it. I still want to create the Channel 6 Building from the original series when I have a chance since there was no toy of it released.

If they're January sets then it's possible Toys R Us will have them for sale in December. In the past, TRU has usually been a good place to find January sets in the final weeks leading up to Christmas.

Awesome news!

oldmanwinters 09-03-2012 08:45 PM

Hooray for Official TMNT Legos and not those silly Mega-Bloks!

Timing... I was just cleaning out some boxes and found a loose Mega Blok Leo, Mike, and Foot Soldier.

Wonder how the LEGO versions will be like...

I'm guessing this is happening now after all these years since TMNT is now a part of Nickelodeon and given Nick properties like Spongebob and Avatar have been in LEGO previously.

Honestly, though, I'd like to have seen them as Minimates as well if anyone knows what those are.

Plasticplayhouse 09-03-2012 09:45 PM

its about damn time. i'm not even into lego's but my son is. it'll be so cool.

tmnt minimates would be awesome too. i'm not really into those either, but i'd buy'em all the same :)

I'd buy this and I don't own any of the Lego games.

EDIT: Wait yes I do. Lego Indiana Jones was amongst the games I got with my 360.

Powder 09-03-2012 10:08 PM

Spanish? Really?

CyberCubed 09-03-2012 10:57 PM

While I don't play with Lego's, I do think if this gets us a Lego TMNT videogame I'd be all over it.

Cowabunga!

Venom 09-04-2012 02:49 PM

I have dreamed of Lego TMNT since I was a little boy! This is great news! :tgrin:

Scud 09-04-2012 03:12 PM

Woo-Hoo!!!
The combination of 2 of my favorite toys. It doesn't get much sweeter than this.
I'm not sure who is more excited me, or my son. But I do know we are going to own every piece. maybe even 2 of each.
I really hope they some out with a game too.

Chris 09-10-2012 01:37 AM

Awesome news!! Man I wish these had been made when I was a kid! Lego can be expensive, but think I'll still end up trying for a full set of these. And a Lego TMNT game would be fantastic!

Zulithe 09-10-2012 02:28 AM

Really hope we start seeing photos soon. It should be sometime this month. Pics leak 3 or 4 months before release for LEGO sets routinely.

Hero 09-10-2012 02:31 AM

Lego are swooping up everything. This is great news!

Spitfire 09-10-2012 02:37 AM

That's kind of awesome.

Uki 09-12-2012 09:24 PM

This is killer news!!!

I'm hoping for a Lego video game too...

Slade 09-12-2012 09:55 PM

Pretty cool. I may pick something up, I've actually NEVER bout legos before.

Veedubguy83 09-12-2012 10:30 PM

This would be amazing... But bad for my wallet... I just dropped about $800 on LEGOS this month alone already...

I don't think so, LEGOS are usually expensive

shezcrafti 09-13-2012 08:31 AM

Think we'll get a $200+ LEGO Technodrome?

That's funny I used to do the same thing. I had the channel 6 news van but there was never a building released to go with it. I too used Legos to create one. Although it went through a few remodels LOL.

All they would need to do would be a quick modification of the death star. Which would mean a list price of $399. OUCH!!!! :teek:

Haha, easy! Just bought the LEGO Death Star, that cost me $359, and then all of the Monster Fighters sets including the Haunted House... Sooooo yeah... I could easily spend thousands on LEGO if I had the money... It is the one toy company you can always count on... Now to start saving for the TMNT lego's, I am in the process of selling my GI JOE collection on EBAY to help fund my LEGO addiction, LOL.

TMNT-Collector 09-13-2012 12:08 PM

this is great news, i loved legos as a kid, the mega bloks for the 2k3 series were very well done so i can't imagine how awesome the lego versions will come out

and i would love to see a lego tmnt video game as well, those games always seem to come out very nice

Filespit 09-13-2012 02:57 PM

Just want to throw a hand up here and ask if it's been confirmed it's really LEGO who's releasing the line? I'm asking because I know Mega Blocks released a line based on the 2k3 series a few years back, and based on that it would be sort of logical if they released a nick toon line as well. Some people tend to confuse Mega Blocks with LEGO and vice versa, so I just want to make sure people don't take it for granted it's LEGO just because it's bricks.
