Most famous TMNT-fans in the world!

I was just reading through Metallica's "Master of Puppets"-booklet and was really stunned when I saw the very last paragraph on the last page. There it says:
"Also extra ****en yahooz to..[...] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[...]"
How cool is that? Any other famous Ninja Turtles-fans?

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 05:57 AM

Robin Williams said he enjoyed the Original Mirage series. No one else comes to mind...

GK Punk 05-23-2003 06:06 AM

That kicks all the ass there is to kick!

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 06:11 AM

Actually I can rememer one more, back when Digital Rim was still supposed to a CGI TMNT movie, John Woo said he likes the original TMNT to, and wants to produce a darker animated movie. To bad this never happened...

Oh yeah I kinda remember hearing about that... It's a shame that never came to be, that could have been the best incarnation of the TMNT.

(I have faith in Jon Woo)

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 06:17 AM

Atleast the best on screen. To bad the contract timed out... But I have faith in Steve Barron to. It's good to have him working on the Hallmark miniseries.

Ooops, yeah Sorry that's what I meant actually.

Steve Barron.. he did the first movie, right?
If so, then I also have faith in him to deliver the goods so to speak

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 06:25 AM

Yes he directed the first movie, and did excellent job with it.

Pidgeot018 05-23-2003 07:08 AM

"F*** yahooz?" Are you sure it's a compliment?

Shellfox 05-23-2003 08:36 AM

I can't beleive I'm posting this

I was sick as a dog a few years back and ended up watching the Rosie O'Donnel show, for some reason she was firecly defending the first TMNT movie

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 08:39 AM

Defending against what?

Brodie 05-23-2003 09:53 AM

Elmo, most likely. Robin Williams likes comic books? Let alone TMNT coimics?! That's awesome.

Jephael 05-23-2003 10:04 AM

Can anyone picture Robin Williams playing the voice of Fugitoid? I bet that would be awesome!

Karpo_007 05-23-2003 10:53 AM

Heh, probably would. He is a voice talent afterall. I wonder if he has ever done any cartoons?

Meira-Bates 05-23-2003 11:38 AM

Sure has! He was Batty in Ferngully the Last Rainforest and I think he also did the voice of Genie in some of the stuff of Disney's Aladin, if I am not mistaken. I'm sort of a fan of his. Robin Williams doing a voice for something in TMNT would be very cool in my opinion.

Oh yeah, I remember him being the voice of the Genie.

That Matt Guy 05-23-2003 12:22 PM

Robin Williams annoys the hell out of me, but he is a pretty good actor. I could see him doing something for the new TMNT.

:o

That is too cool ^^
where did you get that from?

Reznorite420 05-24-2003 08:08 PM

That's one old image; it couldn't have been drawn any time before 1986 (the year MOP was released).

That Matt Guy 05-25-2003 05:32 AM

That image is dated 9-87, which is after Master of Puppets.

DrSpengler 05-25-2003 08:06 PM

I know comic artist Joe Madureira likes them.

"The Turtles rock! I always sucked at drawing them when I was back in school and I really wanted to get em right. I would definately want to draw the Turtles gain in some capacity, you bet."

He said that back in December 2000 in issue 111 of Wizard: the Guide to Comics.

And his rendition of them was badass to say the least.

Meh.

TMNT571 05-26-2003 08:16 AM

I was watching that show on Vh1 one time. and this person can't recall their name was like i am glad that teenage mutant ninja turtles was a fad. I was like yeah a real fad. I was kind of mad when i heard them say that.

Jephael 05-26-2003 08:33 AM

I liked it more when those kids from Hanging with Mr. Cooper and Family Ties were talking about them. I kept that part on one of my TMNT tapes.

PWDESAI 05-26-2003 09:31 AM

I remember my friend saying someone from (nysnch or backstreet boys, can't remember, they both sucked) like transformers. That means almost anyone out there could like TMNT and not have said it.

Stone Ill 05-26-2003 02:19 PM

I don't know..Maybe he was just in it for the money..Have you heard is new stuff? Whack.

Supermik 05-26-2003 02:36 PM

In Italy they are:
- Bobo Vieri (Soccer player)
- Pietro Taricone (Big Brother boy)
- Claudio Scajola (politician)
- Ignazio La Russa (politician)

I believe that was Judith Gold commenting about she was "glad that it was over" on the the 1988 segment of VH1's "I Love The 80s". If you ask me, I think VH1 purposely aired that clip of her saying that so that she could eat those words later on; they knew that TMNT was coming back and wanted to spite her.

Personally, I hope at the moment she's tied up in a straitjacket in a padded cell losing her sanity right now shouting, "I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER!! I THOUGHT WAS OVER!!! GOD, PLEASE, MAKE THAT TEENAGE KARATE FREAK FROG CRAZE GO AWAY FOR GOOD!"

Judy, all I to say to you is :P

heh.. or maybe she's sitting around waiting to get the call:

"Judy? we need you to come back to work as April!"

She's probably hangin' up on all her friends, and wont talk to her family waiting for that call

PWDESAI 05-27-2003 06:08 AM

I don't believe that person played april, did they?

GK Punk 05-27-2003 07:02 AM
