Classics collection
 

This may have been posted elsewhere, but I just couldn't find it. Are the Classic Collection figures exclusive to TRU? at least as far as brick and mortar stores are concerned?

Someone on here said that they found them at Walmart; they had pictures to prove it, but I don't think many Walmarts have them.

The ones at the Walmart were in a Canadian Walmart. USA walmarts do not carry them in stores.

I guess being Canadian does payoff, sometimes (I'm looking at you London 2012.)

I saw at target not to long ago.

You have to drop by a couple of days after a new shipment of the figures has been delivered. There are only two sets delivered at a time. I lucked out and got to Toy' Ru Us just after it was putout so I could pick up all four of them! The number of figures appears to be limited to an extent.

I'm concerned about the figures at my local Toys R Us. It seemed like a month ago they got their first shipment of the Classic TMNT figures. I thought the eyes and painting of the yellow letters on their belts was a little sloppy so that day I only (oddly enough considering the eye problem) bought Donatello. Since that first shipment my store hasn't gotten any more of the Classic TMNT figures! :teek: I've gone back on average about twice a week and nothing has shown up. I'm starting to get angry that they may not get anymore in! :tmad: Has anyone else had this problem?

I still haven't gotten any beyond Raph...same exact situation as you, Knuckles. :(

I checked my local TRU, WalMart, and Target yesterday and not one Classics figure! They are going for $25-$30 on eBay, so buy if you see them in stock! Unfortunately, this could result in a price markup due to the high demand.

man I'm glad I jumped on these when I did, now they are in the same price range you quoted on amazon

I picked all 4 of them up yesterday from Target. They had 5 total two Donatello's and one each of the other 3. It looks like the premier of the cartoon yesterday morning had quite a few kids interested in the toys as there was actually a decent sized group of people picking through them.

has any one ever tried eatting a crayon? Don't do it their disgusting. Especially the crayola kind ewwwww.

I remember when people were complaining about how amazon was marking the price up to like $21 instead of 19.99. I bet people wish they had those prices now!

I was lucky. After everything was said and done I paid $18 each for my 4 classic turtles. That buy 2 get 1 free TRU was having was well worth it!

I'd just exercise some patience. They'll be a second run of these. If anything, Playmates will probably over produce before it's all said and done. Eventually all the flippers will get stuck with huge amounts of unmovable stock and secondary market price will come down. Always happens.

Just bit the bullet and bought Donatello...

Before I had only (as an adult) owned one Turtles figure, Serling. Still have him but his forearms are long gone ;-;

Now I've got all 4 Nick Turtles and the NN-series Nick April.

So my next goal is Classics... I think once I have the full Classics team I might try and find a B&W NECA Mirage set... Wish me luck!

I've seen 2 Leo's at Hastings. They're gone now though. At the time they didn't have the Nick figures. Now they do. 9.99 a piece too. Anyway, with some of the things I've been reading you guys say, it seems like if a store gets the Classics in, it's a one time thing.

Sorry if this has been discussed, I have not been here for awhile. Has anyone heard anything on the pre-orders from Big Bad Toy Store for the classics figures?

It's been pushed back from august to sept and now 4th quarter 2012. Just wondered if they would actually be getting them

I preordered a 12 figure case of the Classics from BBTS. 3x each turtle. Hoping the order is fulfilled.

I pre-ordered a case at the end of July- first time I've ever ordered anything from BBTS. It makes me nervous that they've changed the shipping date so many times- I'm hoping that Playmates is going to push them for the holiday season, I would hate to miss out on these (considering I've passed on them in the store because of the pre-order).

man i am glad i did preorder 2 cases from bbts so i dont have to pay the ebay prices hopefully a new batch will come soon, and some news on a wave 2.
i think the classic has proven they can atleast put out one more wave since they have gone faster than hell

I pre-ordered a Case of 8 Classic TMNT figures on BBTS when they first listed it. At 5/24/2012 BBTS send me an email to let me know the Case of 8 got changed to a Case of 12 and that they would also have a new set of 4 available. I ordered a set of 4 instantly that day and cancelled the Case of 8 which became a Case of 12. The set of 4 became available to ship to me on 7/20/2012. I cancelled and re-ordered another set of 4 because I had too many other pre-orders coming in at the time and used the BBTS credit for those instead.

I'm still not a 100% sure if I want the classics figures or not because of their large scale which doesn't really fit in with any other toyline I collect except maybe Bravestarr.

I already have a few sets of the 1988 Turtles along with a few customs in the works of them for Undercover and cartoon accurate, the Movie Turtles, 200X Turtles and NECA Turtles and am considering the Nick Turtles as well! All these fit in with all the previously made TMNT figures so I still have doubts about getting the classics.

I started to collect the 1988 line again (loose, complete) along with the follow up lines where I left of and try to make it more complete with the exception of the TMNT variants.
The only TMNT variants on my 1988 want list are; Leo the Sewer Samurai, Undercover Don, Mike the Sewer Surfer and Raph the Magnificent. I chose these 4 because I personally think they resemble the characters decently. I possibly want the Headdroppin' and Storage Shell TMNT as well.
Next to those I'm still missing: 9x Foot Soldier, 2x Triceraton, Robotic Rocksteady, Robotic Bebop, Shogun Shoate, Toon Zak the Neutrino, Hot Spot, Scratch, Gate Keeper Rocksteady, Warrior Bebop, Tyranno Shredder, Mini Mutants Donatello, Mini Mutants Raphael, 6x Movie Star Foot Soldier,

I think you underestimate the awesomeness of the classic figures. They are my favorite figs by far from the past few years. I promise you will appreciate them even if they don't fit the scale of the other figures you currently own.

Yeah I'm hoping they are waiting for the holiday season as well. I ordered the neca 4 pack from them way back when and I think it got pushed back a few times too now that I think about it.

I may have to check out my toys r us anyway :)

I live in Minnesota and my TRU didn't have any. Although I'm glad they didn't otherwise I wouldn't have picked up the basic set

Really hoping my Walmart gets em soon
