Do you think Stockman will have a connection to April?
I was wondering because in most versions outside of the Fred Wolf/Archie related versions, April has worked for Stockman, and he appears to be modeled after his Mirage appearance. I know April is to young to be his lab assistant, but April's father was a scientist. Perhaps Baxter and Kirby used to work together, and when April encounters him she thinks he can help her. But he turns out to be working for the Kraang or something.

Seems reasonable. Guess we'll just have to wait n' find out.
They're going to show her in school, so he's probably an underpaid science teacher genius who makes blue meth on the low
The only reasonable connection I can think of is April's science teacher. But, Nick does what Nick wants, whether it's reasonable or not. So... the sky's the limit.
I can see the teacher angle, but I'm kind of hoping it's a friend of her dad's gone bad or something. That just appeals to me more.

I don't really know, but I could think of 4 reasons they would know each-other.
1.They could be neighbors 2.Baxter could be April's science teacher 3.April's dad may have worked with Baxter (since they are both scientists) 4.April could be his lab assistant for community service or something |

Maybe he's dating her aunt? April specifically said she was living with an aunt, never mentioning an uncle.
There's no connection to April. He's a disgruntled, recently-fired employee of some sort of tech/science firm.
For whatever reason, he looks like and sounds like a character that would go, "I will become a super villian, because those that are stealing scientists are not trying to kid nap me for my superior intellect" when in all, The Kraang is just racist
^ Ever'buddy knows The Kraang is color-blind. :tlol:
I think having Stockman work with April's dad would be a cool twist, especially if he sold Kirby out to be kidnapped. Maybe the Kraang wanted to kidnap Stockman, but he gave them information about April's dad which led to him being taken. Sounds pretty cool to me.
I'd like a connection (like others have said a connection to April's dad could work really well) but won't be too bothered if there isn't one. I'm more curious whether or not he'll end up a fly in this version :tlol:
I don't think they will this time, but if they do, I'm on the lines with those who say Baxter and April's dad work together.
I don't think it will happen in this series.
As long as they don't reveal that Baxter is really April's biological father, I'm cool with it.
Maybe Stockman is one of the scientists the Kraang already got to. Snake made it sound like a lot had already been taken. Maybe they'll intimidate Stockman into doing their work, or entice him with something.
To me, it makes more sense that the Kraang develops the technology, than that some scientist just builds his own mech suit. |

I'm hoping for the whole Baxter knew April's father angle. Even if that's not the case I hope that in the episode the reason the Turtles are brought to his attention is because of April. Like she volunteers to work for him or as part of her intel gathering finds a way to talk to him. Either way I hope that Baxter starts out as the kind of guy who does evil things just because they are fun. One of the best lines in the comics
She will be my enemy in this series too like she was in the the 2003 and 87 cartoons. :):) I dont know her father and i dont even know her yet. If i meet her then i will kill her or mutate her into a monster!!
I have to wonder, is there some alternate dimension where this is amusing? At the institution that threw you out, perhaps?
Maybe the same dimension where you're considered funny.

With Dimension X and the Kraang, it wouldn't surprise me that Baxter could mutate into a fly with all these mutations, but it wouldn't happen until after Baxter would meet Shredder and that doesn't look to happen for awhile. But Kirby sounds like he would be a cartoonist at a publishing company which would vaguely relate to a science geek. I just want a straight villain just like in any other incarnation, though I'd like a background story about how he became evil if he wasn't born into it. That said, look for more April action against Baxter when he appears simply because both are computer whizzes.

I have to work this Saturday!!!! You have no idea how angry I am right now... sorry I just needed to rant.
I hope Baxter at least works for Shredder down the line. I want everything to be similar to past shows.

In Futurama, Fry said it best, "People don't want to watch anything new on TV, they want to watch the same things over and over." I couldn't agree more. |
Are you an idiot?

Jester there needs to be a like button. There is idiocy and then there is just being an idiot. You sir Cubed are both.

Might wanna spell idiocy right before ya go around throwing it at people, dawg.

Most likely we'll see Stockman working for Shredder later in the season. My guess is Shredder becomes aware of Stockman and his Mousers, (Mousers are set to debut around ep 10 or 11 I think), and decides to enlist him to build weapons for the Foot Clan.
I wouldn't be surprised if they go the mutant fly route either given the large amount of mutants already planned for this series. |
Then they'll pair him with an alien computer and he'll start screaming "SUGAR!" They'll even change his voice actor to Pat Fraley.

Baxter will probably work for either Shredder or the Kraang at some point though. |
Why? Baxter never did in the Mirage comics. Maybe they're going that route.

They need to do something with him after the Mouser plot. |
