I need Ninja Turtles episode suggestions
 

Could anybody suggest for me by title some good episodes of the old Ninja Turtles cartoon?

I know a tape trader who has a bunch of episodes and I'd like to get sme good one from him. I've already got the first season marked down but I need more.

Casey jones outlaw hero
Usagi yojimbo & usagi come home (that's 2 eps)
The big blow out (one of the best old toon eps IMO you should watch it, the technodrome gets up and running and splinter and the turtles gotta stop it)
Slash the evil turtle from dimension x (two words: PALM TREE :P ok you might want to skip this one if you wish since it's not really a must see but i think slash is a cool character)
The whole euro vacation part of season 7, that's:

The episode where the turtles meet the frogs, it's one of my fave since the turtles get to fight the frogs and we can see shredder without the mask...
Um...something has been puzzling me about you :| y'know, you're the 7th turtle, what happend to the 5th and 6th turtle?
I mean even assuming zach is the 5th turtle, there's still the 6th turtle...and i dislike the idea of zach being the 5th turtle, he's not even a turtle :p
I also refuse to believe venus is the 6th turtle because venus is officialy no more :)

Well I also like the 1 where they search 4 the fountain of youth and when Shredder uses it he turns into a baby.

i remember this ep too. it was a funny one, cause bebop and rockstady had to take care of baby-shreder... well, not baby but a little child

well... i already told this about a million time, but i'll say it one more time just cause you're so puzzled :P but i'll tell the short story:
a few years ago i decided i need a new nickname for chat and stuff(my old one was stupid... but now it's not... really! :P ).
anyway, i chose The 7th Turtle because 7 is my lucky number and i love TMNT since i was little. only after i picked up a name i thought why am i really the 7th turtle...
i think zach is the 5th cause the turtles themselves gave him the title. even though, i hate him and want him to be eaten by hugh chihuahuas :evil: :evilgrin:
the 6th was venus at that time (but you can take slash or any other turtle you like :D ) - and i chose her although i never saw the living-actions series... friends told me it sucked

anyway, that turned out a really long story... oh well :P

Also, Photo Bugged is a good episode and although all of the 1st season was mentioned, I would lke to put special emphasis on "Enter the Shredder" :evilgrin: I think that every single turtle fan in the world ought to be forced to watch that episode!!!!

I believe Dinny is talking about "Leatherhead: Terror of the Swamp". He doesn't exactly turn into a baby, but he does revert to a 5-year-old, or something like that.

All Great episodes IMO. and Nicko, I don't know how you could say Artless was an episode worth watching. It had to be the stupidest episode in the entire cartoon IMO. Those stupid potato aliens were just dumb.

Edit: Almost forgot one of the best episodes in season 4... The Dimension X Story. That episode rules!

@dk: I just added it because it was part of the euro vacation...i guess it sucks tho, i havent watched it.As far as i know most of the euro vacation is good tho.
@7th turtle: I see :D allrighty then that clears it up, thank you...i also happen to hate zach, i used to like him before but now i think he's annoying...i mean seriously, after watching the episodes he's in i've realized the frickin' kid gets the turtles in trouble all the time and he gets glorified nonetheless.

As others have said, I would start with the third and fourth seasons. Those are where the majority of the classics are located, although each season has some real gems.

Seasons 1-4 is where the show really hit its stride. Seasons 5-10 are also good, but for classic Ninja Turtles nostalgia, check seasons 1-4 first.

Here are my suggestions:

Go with Seasons 1, 2, and 8!
3 through 7 are great for kids but might not appeal to adults.
Avoid seasons 9 and 10 like the freakin' plague!!!(They were worse than Next Mutation)

Anyway that's my opinion.

8 is clearly the best of red sky, but seasons 9 and especially 10 are not that bad either.

It's all based on your opinion about the red sky. I thought season 8 was pretty well done but after Dregg showed up the show just got stupid. I thought the Techno Gang and whoever Dregg's minions were called in season 10 were incredibly stupid. Giant bugs with blasters attacking the turtles just didn't work for me. The only part of the show I liked after Shredder left was when he came back in the season 10 3 parter, those were great episodes. Other than that I didn't like season 9 and 10 much.

Giving the turtles the ability to transform into monsters COMPLETELY RUINED the show for me! But that's my opinion. Season 8 was good though.

Well red sky brought the ratings backwich dropped after season 4. Or so I've heard.

The Ninja aspect of the show was destroyed when the Turtles got those damn transformation powers! Even Next Mutation was better than that!

When did the old cartoon have a ninja aspect in it? Well maybe somewhat in the first season...

At least they'd mention Ninjutsu occasionally and, when they had a fight they'd fight as themselves. When they got those powers Ninjutsu was never mentioned again and, when they had a fight they'd transform into those hideous creatures every-time. It was totally stupid!

Well yeah it was mentioned, but Im talking about the usual Ninja stuff, stealth being a big part of it. Well atleast they did train.

Excactly! Besides they defeated Shredder, Krang , Titanus, Berzerko, Mega-Volt, Big Louie, Baxter, and Slash with raw skill, and now they're so pathetic they need to turn into Hulk rip-offs to fight Dregg? When dregg can't hold a frickin' candle to any of those other guys!

Stealth was lost without a doubt with the Red Sky episodes, because whenever they tried to do something "ninja-esque" (had to throw that in for kicks and grins) they transformed... bleh! Leo had a metal thing on his shell then though and I guess that's kind of cool.

LOL :lol: What stealth was there before red sky? The TMNT were running true the city in full day light. There were some in the first season, but not after that.

To say that ANYTHING is worse than TNM is like saying that havng gruel for breakfast is worse than having monkey turds infected with mad cow disease for the same thing. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I don't understand what makes people dislike seasons 9 and 10. They have good plots and animation. I guess only rational reason is the lack of Shredder and Krang.

Season 9 wasn't all that great, but season 10 had some good stuff in it.

I agree, season 9 wasn't as good as 8 but 10 was great. Altough the ending for a 10 year show could have been better.

I understand they were sick of Shredder and Krang but why not Titanus? Or why not import Null and Malinga from the Archie TMNT comics. Or why not go full Mirage and ditch the "main Villian" concept in favor of a different villian every story.

And most of all WHY THE STUPID TRANSFORMATION POWERS! I could put up with Dregg, but not those stupid powers. The core concept and appeal of the show was destroyed by those powers.

Situation: April is kidnapped and tied up from a rope hanging from the celing.

Seasons 1-8: Leo leaps up and cuts the rope with his Katana, then catches April on the way down. Impressive!

Seasons 9-10: Leo transforms into a big stupid looking monster and fights the bad guy.

Situation: Villian is using a machine to drain Earth's energy.

Seasons 1-8: Raph fights off the villians while Don rewires the machine to restore Earth's energy.

Seasons 9-10: Raph and Don transform into big stupid looking monsters and fight the bad guys.

Are you finally seeing what I'm getting at!

Yes that was the 9th season. 10th wasn't all about new mutations.
