I'll give it a listen...good to see a wide variety of talents pulled in. Should be fun.

CyberCubed 11-28-2012 11:03 PM

Just finished it, it was pretty entertaining. Not much was said that I didn't already know, but it was a nice treat nonetheless. Eastman is awesome as always.

Would love to see you guys get Peter Laird.

Jester 11-28-2012 11:28 PM

Good stuff. Loved the story about Steve Barron "storyboarding" essentially with scenes from Vol. 1.

I'd love to see the Barron Cut of TMNT.

Love that Kevin's favorite Casey is Elias Koteas. Love that guy.

The Peter Laird question was great Andrew...or maybe it was more Kevin's answer to it. :D

Andrew NDB 11-29-2012 02:39 AM

A few gems after the end music too. :)

I was not the most well versed in interviews for Kevin, so being there and filling in a few of the more basic questions for new fans (and asking a few little gems I couldn't resist) was still a fun job for me.

I don't think (unless Andrew is a miracle worker) that Peter Laird will be our next interview, but I would really love to pick his brain, and see how things are on the other side of that Dynamic Duo.

Until the next interview, we should be doing an actual normal episode...though until we do it, who's to say what's normal? You'll have to wait and see what that entails.

Green Machine 11-29-2012 04:49 AM

This is great. I'm about 30 minutes in to it and I've learned a lot more than I ever knew. I'm a 34 year old that watched the OT and collected the toys but never bothered to dig into the history or background. So this is all new to me. Keep up the good work man. I look forward to future episodes.

kuhan 11-29-2012 06:06 PM

Hey folks, Naaim here (host of the show)

You guys can subscribe to the podcast HERE. We'll be on iTunes soon!

KM3K 11-30-2012 06:11 AM

I just finished listening. I really enjoyed it! Those were great questions that brought out a lot of great stories from Kevin that I hadn't heard before.

Wow. That was awesome. Keep up the good work, guys.

HotJuicyBurgers 11-30-2012 07:46 AM

Did anyone else hear that Eastman mentioned something called fooly cooly? I think so but I might not have heard correctly

He was talking about FLCL, which is an anime: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLCL

Best of luck guys. It's good to see more podcasts popping up. I was suprised that there weren't any before we started up in February and now there are a few. That's AWESOME!

Fugitoid Jones 12-11-2012 04:36 AM

Orisue 01-19-2013 03:24 AM

Awesome! Can't wait for the documentary though!:tcool:

Jephael 01-22-2013 01:16 PM

You're all gonna love the second episode! I give my 2 cents whenever possible, but the real star of the episode has to be Josh Christopher!

Bocce 01-22-2013 04:58 PM

Great podcast I want more.

chrisdude 01-23-2013 01:21 PM

Be patient, my friend. There's plenty more on the way!

Andrew NDB 02-11-2013 10:13 PM

Episode 2 is up! Did you want to know where all the cast members stand on all the universes? Of course you did. I bet you can't guess where I stand on a lot of them... ;)

Listen to it HERE.

zkarlette 02-12-2013 01:22 AM

I really liked the podcast, you guys are really entertaining and made really good points thru out. I hope to hear the next one soon. :)

Episode 3 is already done and I'll throw it up shortly... basically we did one big episode and just cut it in half in post.

Jephael 02-12-2013 02:32 PM

Man, I got a kick out of listening to it earlier! You should make an official webpage on the site, Andrew!

I just listened to the first episode...I've got to hear this one :D

Mewzard 02-12-2013 06:17 PM

It's really hard to pull back and make a small episode when you've got so many varied opinions on the various TMNT series. It was a blast doing this, and I hope you guys enjoyed it.

zkarlette 02-12-2013 06:57 PM

I really enjoyed It.
Maybe you could make episodes with a particular TMNT subject so you don't end up with a huge cut one. It's just a suggestion of course, I really like what you guys are doing, can't wait to hear the rest of it.

Orisue 02-12-2013 07:39 PM

Really liked it, especially the overview of the archie series. Oh and I loved power rangers lmao!

That's the general plan. We just wanted to follow up the Eastman interview nicely with this, what I shall dub as "The Franchisening". Next time we record should be more reasonably sized.

So am I, one of the reasons why I brought it up (and am Co-Host on a PR/SS podcast as well). Felt appropriate, since In Space gave me my first taste into The Next Mutation.

Just about any one subset of TMNT could probably get its own cast if you were willing to plan it out right. But hey, a little bit of everything is good in my book.

Jester 02-13-2013 09:43 AM

Might I ask, Andrew: Merit in other Turtle media aside from the Mirage source material? GO!

"First Mirage Purchase" for me was one of the City at War books. I think the one where Karai has a katana to Leo's throat.

Some of you need to work on articulating your thoughts more cohesively.

My bad. I'm usually good at talking one on one with someone, but when it comes to conversations with multiple people, I tend to get a little flustered.

Cure 02-13-2013 06:47 PM

It's cool, just something to try to improve upon.

You may notice too there are parts where I'm trying to get a word in edge-wise during some heated discussions. I'm a firm believer in being polite, but there were certain moments I wanted to say "Hey, shut up a second! I got something important to get off my chest!"

Andrew NDB 02-13-2013 08:34 PM
