Episode 1 is now up, an interview with Kevin Eastman. Listen to it HERE. Our crew: Myself, Isaac (Canadian Turtle), Colton (Mewzard), Karen (plastroncafe), and our host, Naaim. Theme song by Chris Pelletier (Spitfire). On Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/shellshockedpodcast |
I'll give it a listen...good to see a wide variety of talents pulled in. Should be fun.
|
Just finished it, it was pretty entertaining. Not much was said that I didn't already know, but it was a nice treat nonetheless. Eastman is awesome as always.
Would love to see you guys get Peter Laird. |
Good stuff. Loved the story about Steve Barron "storyboarding" essentially with scenes from Vol. 1.
I'd love to see the Barron Cut of TMNT. Love that Kevin's favorite Casey is Elias Koteas. Love that guy. The Peter Laird question was great Andrew...or maybe it was more Kevin's answer to it. :D |
A few gems after the end music too. :)

I don't think (unless Andrew is a miracle worker) that Peter Laird will be our next interview, but I would really love to pick his brain, and see how things are on the other side of that Dynamic Duo. Until the next interview, we should be doing an actual normal episode...though until we do it, who's to say what's normal? You'll have to wait and see what that entails. |
This is great. I'm about 30 minutes in to it and I've learned a lot more than I ever knew. I'm a 34 year old that watched the OT and collected the toys but never bothered to dig into the history or background. So this is all new to me. Keep up the good work man. I look forward to future episodes.

Hey folks, Naaim here (host of the show)
You guys can subscribe to the podcast HERE. We'll be on iTunes soon! |
I just finished listening. I really enjoyed it! Those were great questions that brought out a lot of great stories from Kevin that I hadn't heard before.

Wow. That was awesome. Keep up the good work, guys.

Did anyone else hear that Eastman mentioned something called fooly cooly? I think so but I might not have heard correctly

Best of luck guys. It's good to see more podcasts popping up. I was suprised that there weren't any before we started up in February and now there are a few. That's AWESOME!
|
Great interview with Kevin! He's always so interesting to listen to. Looking forward to future episodes and hopefully future interviews!

Awesome! Can't wait for the documentary though!:tcool:

You're all gonna love the second episode! I give my 2 cents whenever possible, but the real star of the episode has to be Josh Christopher!
|
Great podcast I want more.
|
Awesome show :tgrin:

Episode 2 is up! Did you want to know where all the cast members stand on all the universes? Of course you did. I bet you can't guess where I stand on a lot of them... ;)
Listen to it HERE. |
I really liked the podcast, you guys are really entertaining and made really good points thru out. I hope to hear the next one soon. :)

It's really hard to pull back and make a small episode when you've got so many varied opinions on the various TMNT series. It was a blast doing this, and I hope you guys enjoyed it.
|
I really enjoyed It.
Maybe you could make episodes with a particular TMNT subject so you don't end up with a huge cut one. It's just a suggestion of course, I really like what you guys are doing, can't wait to hear the rest of it. |
Really liked it, especially the overview of the archie series. Oh and I loved power rangers lmao!

Just about any one subset of TMNT could probably get its own cast if you were willing to plan it out right. But hey, a little bit of everything is good in my book. |
Might I ask, Andrew: Merit in other Turtle media aside from the Mirage source material? GO!
"First Mirage Purchase" for me was one of the City at War books. I think the one where Karai has a katana to Leo's throat. |
Some of you need to work on articulating your thoughts more cohesively.

It's cool, just something to try to improve upon.
