Official Ep Discussion #11 "Mousers Attack!"
When simultaneous threats from the Purple Dragons and Baxter Stockman’s mechanical Mousers force the Turtles to split into two groups, Donnie & Mikey must prove that their “B Team” is just as valuable as Leo & Raph’s “A Team.”
When it rains, it pours on our poor turtles... So, Not only are they dealing with Shredder, the newly mutated DogPound and the Foot Soldiers... but now they've got a new surprise - and it likes to Bite. It seems our bungling Baxter Stockman has been tinkering, and has come back prepared and ready to show off his new digs. And the Purple Dragons are in the mood for some head-bashing... Unfortunately, there's little out there in terms of more information on this episode. The one thing we do know, the boys are gonna be split up. And each duo's gonna need to work hard to get out of their fix. As always, Leo and Raph are teamed up to be the Top Dogs in terms of fighting. They are the best fighters. They don't use sticks. One of them's not trying to eat paint chips or pizza from the trash. Blah blah blah... Don and Mike have to prove that they can be just as useful in a fight as the other two. Mind you, they can be extremely resourceful when in a tough situation. Mike usually thinks outside the box, while Donnie's adding lasers or strange devices to the same box. Yet they always seem to eke out a win, whether if it's disarming alien bombs or using molten cheeze pizza projectiles... There's going to be enough facepalms in this episode to plant a grove in the middle of Central Park... So, WILL THE TURTLES MANAGE TO STOP BAXTER'S MOUSERS AND THE PD's?! WILL DONATELLO MAKE IT THROUGH THE EPISODE WITHOUT THROTTLING MIKE?! HECK, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NICK-DESIGNED MOUSERS?! You know the drill... Stay Tuned!!! |
Enjoy, and look out for mousers - they like to bite ankles!!
:D |
I can't believe it took all the way till episode 11 to introduce the Mousers given their early appearances in every other series:
- Original cartoon: Episode 3 - 4kids cartoon: Episodes 1, 2 and 3 - Mirage; Issue 2 - IDW: Issue 6 - Archie: Issue 2 |

Kindly refresh their other episodes for me? |

I hope my two favorite turtles show their stuff, like I know they can!
Also, Mousers are some of my favorites. I've been waiting since episode 1 for this :teek: |

Seriously, this is like saying "Monkey Brains" is a Don/Mikey episode because they sparred in the first five minutes. |
I really love the design on those Mousers. Classic look, but the red lighting in the mouth is very effective!
Also... "Seems a little forced." Heh. Well said, Leo. |
The mousers are awesome so far, and look much better now that they're in CGI. I have a feeling that Fishface is going to get his robotic legs in this episode.
|
Its odd that Fishface does not keep his legs as a mutant considering every other aquatic mutant has had legs.I thought it amusing when Shredder said Fishface was useless without legs.
Phil Lamarr's voice for Baxter reminds me of Bumper Robinson's Carter voice. Interesting plot point with the mousers! Baxter Stockman is in Shredder's employ afterall! Though he is human for now!Cyborg?Fly?Something else? |
Irma called April!!!!! And Baxter is now working for Shredder!!!
|
I liked this episode great to have TMNT back... so Leatherhead is on next episode right? And I guess Fishface gets his legs from Stockman... guys so lame you can't help but love him XD now all he needs is to either become a brain or a fly :P
|
How is it that Stockman is competent with no tPhone? Y'all remember that sad, sad suit he had when he showed up.
|
Good episode. I thought Baxter's Eye was going to get destroyed at the end when Shredder unleashed his blade. It really taught us that the underdogs will need help, with the "B-team" eventually getting kidnapped only to get rescued by Leo and Raph. That said I wish I'd see Fishface get into action soon as he remains a gag to Shredder and even Dogpound. MOUSERS even got an acronym; what was it again? (U is underground, S is either system or sensor). But I'd say the Turtles have been watching too much Dexter's Laboratory when they run into Baxter.
Notice that April's phone said Irma right before it got destroyed? Overall: 8/10 |
So now we see how Baxter hooks up with the Shredder. Should be interesting to see how this works out with Shredder. Another fun, good episode. I can't wait to get those Tphone toys. Leatherhead next week!
|
Eh, It was an okay episode.
Pros: It was the debut of the mousers, we got to see more of Dogpound and Fishface, Baxter Stockman now has an alliance with Shredder and the foot clan. Cons:Mikey and Donnie were treated like they were useless and did pretty much nothing throughout the episode, Leo and Raph acted like jerks, April was barely in it, Shredder wasn't in it that much either, Fishface didn't get his robotic legs. All in all I feel like this episode is a two parter, but I doubt we'll get a continuation of it since the next episode revolves around Leatherhead, and the one after that is called "Rat Trap" so I don't know...also, I wish they would have just used the mousers to track down Splinter like they did with the previous cartoons. This wasn't That great of an episode, especially since we had to wait two weeks for it...overall, a give this episode a 6 out of 10. |
Another amazing episode, man i already eager to:D get season 1 on dvd for marathon!! The 80s tmnt ringtone was hilarious
|
Yeah that episode didn't prove anything. Don and Mikey have fought fine in previous episodes, what was that all about? In this episode they paced around for a while, got captured, got rescued by Raph and Leo (I was desperately hoping for the other way around), who were supposedly exhausted but still able to bypass Bradford. Then Mikey proved his worth by playing keep-away and Don proved his by pointing out something for Raph to attack...?
Leo and Raph did express needing Don at a couple points, but didn't really need him after all. As for Mikey, the phrase "What's Michaelangelo good for" comes to mind. Pretty disappointing! |
Awesome Episode. One of my favorites so far! Irma throwback was actually amazing. And now that Baxter works for The Shredder, I can't wait to see what happens next. Mousers were awesome (They have an acronym now?!?) and Overall Great Episode. 9/10 :)
Donnies Ringtone FTW :) :) |

That redshirt reference... Cold there, Leo..

I really enjoyed this episode, because Baxter Stockman is my favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain, so I was eagerly awaiting his alliance with Shredder. The Mousers looked really awesome. The spray that Stockman used on Leo and Ralph so the Mousers can easily track them was a nice touch. I'm really starting to like Dogpound. Overall really great ep. |

There was another Kool-aid Man reference when Dogpouund and Baxter broke through the wall lol.

This was a good episode. I don't know if I loved it, but it was good.
I did not like some of the jerkish moments coming from Leo and Raph, but I knew in the end they knew that Don and Mike were good for something. It had nothing to do with brains or smarts anyway. So, I understood that. But wasn't it Donnie that stopped Metalhead, or wasn't it Mikey that punched the crap out of Bradford for the first time? Something tells me someone else wrote this episode instead of the one from the previous episodes. It seemed different.:tconfuse: Still, I didn't like the cell phone idea that much. I mean, I felt it was right for the turtles to look for it. It had caller ID's and GPS systems, that it would be easier enough for them to track the turtles. So, I don't know what Master Splinter was thinking. The turtles were right to leave. If they didn't, they would be in great danger. He must not be aware of how technology has advanced.:twink: Besides that, I liked it for its good parts. Dogpound is really cool in this one. I loved seeing the mousers for the first time (and the acronym).:tlol: The Space Heroes scene was funny. I mean, as a Star Trek fan, I know what that was making fun of.:tlol: Plus, the scenes where Raph and Leo are battling the mousers were so badass. Leo is awesome as always.:tcool: My favorite part, however: Leo and Don having their arms around each other. Very good brotherly love moment.:tsmile: Is it the best episode? Absolutely not. Is it the worst episode? Absolutely not. It's just fun.:tcool: |
This episode was good. Not as good as the preceding ones, but ok. I know it's functioning to bring together the villains, so even though the turtles don't get put in the backseat, I was more interested in the future plans of the bad guys.
Also, Irma? I wonder if they'll actually have her as a part of the show. Would be nice for April to actually be shown interacting with other regular characters besides the Turtles and Splinter. |
I loved the Irma reference. You can tell the people writing show are being respectful to the OT "source material" lol
Anyone's opinion on whether or not she'll show up? |
What bugged me was that Donnie redeemed himself, but Mikey didn't.
The A-Team and B-Team were both in over their heads. Donnie and Mikey got captured (A sad scene to watch, because I couldn't help but compare it to the BA scene when the guys rescued Michelangelo from Bradford's place). BUT, Donnie immediately solved the MOUSER problem, proving that the A-Team would've greatly benefited from his prescience. Mikey? All he had to do was keep the phone away, and he flubbed it in seconds. :trolleye: |
It's kinda crazy that so many people want Irma to be a character in the show.
I remember when Viacom bought TMNT everyone was complaining and whining that they would have a show that focused on April in high school and blah blah blah. Now it's something you want? Ok? The real travesty this week? No Victorious music video. What the hell was that about? |
So wait... the comments are confusing. Did Baxter give Xever his legs or not? Some are saying yes, some are saying no. The episode won't air for another hour and 15 here (and I'm at work anyway so I can't watch) so I don't know what's what.

This episode was decent. I liked several things: Stockman aligning with shredder (guessing shredder will mutate him eventually since the show is mutagen happy haha), introduction of the mousers, the 80s ringtone, April getting a shell cell (hopefully Don gives her another one since mike blew it up :) ha) and the Purple Dragons playing a part again. Looking forward to what the shredder will have Stockman create. Any word on whether Hun will appear? Or is Dogpound his replacement as far as Shredder's right hand man goes? Maybe he could play a smaller role in the new series.

Victorious yo! They usually play a short video during commercials. The song 2 weeks ago was a club bangerrrrr. |

Mikeys dance at the end totally reminded me of the 1980s theme "party dude" part. Awesome
