Best Shredder Figure?

Which is the best shredder in your opinion?

Kevin G 12-23-2012 10:17 AM

The 1988 Shredder because I have so many fond memories playing with him. But I would go with the 1993 Toon Shredder since he is more accurate to the 1987 - 1996 cartoon.

Oculus Orbus 12-23-2012 10:22 AM

I'm still waiting for a Shredder I actually like, but if I had to choose I'd go with 2003.

Candy Kappa 12-23-2012 10:33 AM

what no 2007 movie Shredder figure on the list?! :P

not sure which one is for me the absolute best. It changes often, but I do like the 1988 figure, even with his low crouch pose. And thanks to that pose, Shredder always seemed to be stuck in that height even though he don't crouch. Like Super Shredder, that little midget.

The 2012 Shredder is a good candidate as well and I like the Mutation Shredder, he was the one I had as a kid.

TheCanadiandrome 12-23-2012 04:04 PM

i gotta go with Slice N Dice number one, with Super Shredder as number two and 2012 as Number 3

Theli 12-23-2012 04:07 PM

I've seen several custom Figures of Shredder....i like this one much:

Without Toon Shredder, it was difficult to decide. I just don't like the blue on the 1988 Shredder, though I wouldn't mind painting it silver as part of a custom project. I voted for Super Shredder since with Tokka and Rahzar it completes the Movie II roster of villains to go with the Movie Star Turtles.

Weirdo-Warrior 12-24-2012 03:43 PM

You forgot to add the best of them all: TOON SHREDDER! :shredder:

stcardinal 12-26-2012 12:19 AM

I like the original. Even as a child I thought it was so weird. But it's weirdness has grown on me.

My alt vote for the best Shredder would be NECA's unreleased TMNT Shredder.

prez 12-30-2012 02:53 AM

I have to go with the original, too many great memories!

AT-Man 12-30-2012 04:06 AM

2003 Shredder, because 1988 is in awkward position and I still think it's the worst. The rest I don't know very well, except Super Shredder, which I hoped the actual 1988 would have been like. Why couldn't they make him stand straight, WHY?? It was also useless to equip him with a sword, how the heck can he swing at anyone when the sword is in his armpit?? Jesus christ monkeyballs, I HATE 1988 SHREDDER!

Daaaamn, that's indeed a very nice Shredder!!!

Icebot 12-30-2012 04:50 PM

For me it's the 2003 Armorized Shredder, it was cool to finally use an Oroku Saki figure.

I never owned one of these but they look awesome! The helmet looks a bit messed up tho

MikeandRaph87 12-30-2012 07:59 PM

My favorite Shredder figure is in pre-production right now-Classics Shredder (1987 cartoon)! :D

Jester 12-30-2012 09:44 PM

FW line: Road Ready Shredder
4Kids line: Armorized Shredder.

joetheripper 12-31-2012 09:41 PM

Super Shredder FTW!

Yes indeed :shredder:

I'd have to go with the 2k3 Shredder. The 2012 figure is close behind, but just kinda lacking in detail - especially when you compare his figure side-by-side to the Turtles. Also, the plates - being separate pieces - look too bulky and, well... tacked on. As for the original '88 figure, it's just weird looking, and... shirtless... for some reason?

As for the others, it's really a mixed bag. I just feel like the 2k3 figure was a near-perfect plastic conversion of the show's design. It's not perfect, but the others have too many outstanding flaws that make them difficult to really like.

My personal favorite shredder is the 2k3 Armorized Shredder, he was painted better then the original release(because that was painted blue) but I hated
The removable armor( not the helmet) and the vac metalized armor, so I scratched off the vac metal and painted the armor pieces silver, and glued them on to his body

i didn't really like the 2012 shredder for one reason: he doesn't have any knee articulation, which meant he was always standing

Donatello19 07-06-2013 01:40 PM

The upcoming "Shredder 2" figure is looking to be really great, especially the exclusive chrome version.

OrokuYoshiFilms 07-07-2013 07:40 AM

Thanks for introducing me to Tyranno Shredder. ....never seen that one before.

billbot85 07-07-2013 11:09 AM

1988 Shredder, since that was the one I had when I was a kid. Despite his odd stance, I loved him all the same.

Why wasn't Toon Shredder in this poll? He would have my vote.

Nameless 07-07-2013 12:33 PM

i went with slice and dice. he was the shredder i had as a kid. and bonus he can stand upright ;) haha.

slashpieturtlemix 07-08-2013 01:41 PM

I always had a like for the original but I love the cyber, super mutant and that hilarious saint saiya shredder toy.

Zeppelin 07-09-2013 08:23 PM

I'd say super shredder. To me, I had only that mini super shredder from the 94 mini series. It looked so cool on that mini collector card.

billbot85 07-09-2013 10:51 PM

I still wonder if we are gonna get a toon accurate shredder for the new classics line.

Mr._Mutant_Man 07-27-2013 08:22 PM

From the original line, probably Slice and Dice Shredder.

I prefer 2012 Shredder over the very first Shredder because I can actually make him stand up. It's hard to get the original Shredder to stand up with the way he's posed.

stcardinal 07-27-2013 10:28 PM

I have fond memories of the original and I remember loving Super Shredder. Slice and dice was the closes "cartoon" accurate Shredder I got but I lost interest in him because he didn't have cape and his shoulders were weird.

sirroscoe 07-29-2013 01:31 PM

The Shredder figure that was never released:

The NECA Shredder.
