Nick TMNT characters you think won't have figures

What Nick TMNt characters do you think won't get figures?

I think that Justin, Ms. Campbell, the second form of Chong, the Pulverizer, Pigeon pete, and maybe the Purple Dragons won't have figures.

Justin should get one!

RaphAndDonnie 02-17-2013 06:25 PM

I would laugh if the Pulverizer ended up getting his own figure :tlol: I mean...could you imagine?

But anyway, I don't think that "one scene wonders" or very minor characters will get figures, just because they aren't important.

CyberCubed 02-17-2013 10:09 PM

Sadly it seems like Chris Bradford and Xever as humans won't get a toy. Shame because Bradford's human design was awesome.

Jester 02-17-2013 10:12 PM

How do you know? We could get Mutation versions of Dogpound and Fishface.

Well its possible, but no stand alone figures. Same reason Baxter Stockman isn't getting a "regular" figure without his robot suit.

They probably think kids don't want to play with normal humans.

Candy Kappa 02-17-2013 11:29 PM

Xever seems a bit skinny to be fitted into a Mutations figure. The April one didn't look so good from the original Mutation line, and she just had a few swaps. Xever is a whole body change

zkarlette 02-17-2013 11:44 PM

I don't think they will make figures of all the purple dragons or pulverizer. Or justin...

MST3KFan 02-18-2013 12:33 AM

Honestly, I couldn't say. I recall back in the vintage line I guessed we'd never see figures of the three Neutrinos or April's co-workers and then the 'Toon' line started. Of course us not getting the remaining two members of the 'Punk Frogs' team on the other hand still leaves me a bit bitter.

The 2003 line seemed to make a lot of characters that for the most part were one-shot appearance characters or very minor ones like those weird mutated Shredder clones...

Ryanator008 02-18-2013 04:39 AM

It would be a huge disappointment to get no Purple Dragons.

Shark_Blade 02-18-2013 06:05 AM

Usagi Yojimbo. *bawls*

On real note, it'll be Xever and Rad Brad. So tragic. :(

TheBlueTurtle1 02-18-2013 06:27 AM

Basically, you guys want every character.

gobo 02-18-2013 06:32 AM

I doubt Pulverizer gets a fig. Or the human forms of Shredder's henchmen. Or Mrs. Robinson. Or pre-mutant Chong.

Lol, Chuck Norris.

He could come with a kraang lab playset as a bonus figure.
My pick for a figure is dr falco, pre-rat king form

But no Renet or Cyber Shredder.

I think playmates won't make these charecters because they don't have the certain "look" that all figures in every toy-line MUST have ( excluding star wars)

What is that "certain look all figures in every toy-line must have", exactly? I also think Tang Shen won't have a toy, even though she's been with us since the first issue of the Mirage comic, her only chance is the classics line or maybe a Hamato Household Playset as a bonus figure.

Well from a kid's stand point, normal human figures would be boring in comparison to mutants.

Making people that would look "boring" to kids, like tang-Shen, most kids won't want to play with her, but with another figure like a turtle or any other mutant,

drkngrusum 02-18-2013 06:50 PM

no "human" Kraang or Kraang with the blue outtter layer. It's a shame we won't get a Pizza Delivery guy figure. I mean, He could be one of those figure and vehicle sets with his scooter...

Slade 02-18-2013 08:31 PM

Bradford, Xever and I don't think there will be a Pulverizer either.

pannoni1 02-19-2013 09:17 AM

This is easy:

The "Space Heroes" (maybe a slight chance, but don't count on it)
Carlos Chiang O’Brien Gambe
Dr. Mindstrong
Dr. Falco
Monkey Rockwell (Seargant Bananas was just an odd selection from the vintage line)
Murakami
Sid
Tsoi
Pete
Joan Grody
Celestial
Mrs. Campbell

miru 03-13-2013 10:05 PM

What if they did something similar to the original line's "Toon" assortment (characters that you think would not have toys getting them) for the 2012 series?

We could have:

Toon Chris
Toon Xever
Toon Victor
Toon Pete
Toon Campbell
Toon Murakami
Toon Tsoi
Toon Sid
Toon Rockwell
Toon Carlos

Zulithe 03-13-2013 10:12 PM

Pete could totally have a figure! Not that I want one >.> They could always bring that character back. Seems like exactly the kind of figure they'd release in like the 4th or 5th year when they are running out of ideas :P

That's one of those things where it makes me wonder if in the vintage line was the reason we didn't get a Mona Lisa figure until way late. Or did fan demand somehow work there?

The 2K3 series did this with Quarry, Agent Bishop, Rat King, Nobody, Serling, Torbin Zixx, and Cody. The originals also had Irma, Vernon, Burne, and the Neutrinos. Maybe fan demand helped in the case of Irma?

deadman 04-05-2013 06:05 PM

I know it is likely to happen but I would love to see a human Bradford or Pulverizer as Playmates' SDCC exclusive this year. It seems like it would be a good way to get some figures that collectors would like but probably wouldn't go over too well with kids.

There wasn't fan demand back then. It was the norm to watch the cartoon by early '93. There was the idea that if you could not get a new action figure then watch the toon. The late 80's episodes were on tape by '90. It was epic to re-create the cartoon on playgrounds for neon wearing children in the fall of 1991. Everyone seemed to like the Turtles in those times. I'm sure there were many teens that watched the toon in the afternoons then too. The early 90's were cool because you could watch the old syndicated episodes on weekdays and the newest episode on CBS Saturday morning.

AnarkyLantern 04-06-2013 11:13 PM

I first want to point out that Star Wars has its toyetic limits as well. Aunt Beru and Shmi Skywalker were first released during movie years, Kenner wouldn't touch Grand Moff Tarkin until the mid-90s, and they have yet to do Bea Arthur.

I would say the real long shots are characters who don't have an active battle presence. TMNT does have more of a precedent with non-battle/non-creature figures in its original line but I don't know if that's enough for today's retail demands.

Zulithe 04-07-2013 07:11 AM

If the character isn't a mutant, monster, alien or ninja... chances of a figure or small. Oh yeah and if they are female :p Just seeing a normal human character in on the shelf simply is not as exciting as something with a cool design.

My dream, though? Karai and April (in Ninja gear with her new fan weapon!) in a two-pack, ehehehe :d

Or if they aren't bipedal (Justin)

LH 05-01-2013 02:37 PM

Assuming we do get Karai somewhere down the line, I wonder if she will be in her civilian clothes or her armor. If she ends up leaving Shredder, she may wear those more often(Plus, she's wearing them on her trading card).

I have Karai's trading card, she is wearing the armor.

Is there another Karai card? The one I saw has her wearing that jacket:

Mutant Monkey Dr. Rockwell would be a great 'is he a baddie or not' figure to release, but I doubt it's going to be done now, unless he comes back into the series.

I think a sound FX Pulveriser would be fun to beat up on :D

miru 05-02-2013 09:46 PM

More I doubt figures will be made of:

* The Russian arms dealer.

* Any supporting characters from Space Heroes

* Snake as human

* Vic

mvas11 05-03-2013 07:50 PM

My kids would love to see Pete. For some reason they think he's absolutely hillarious. I wish they would do a normal human 2 pack, say pizza guy and the blind restaurant guy (blanking on his name). I think my son would love to rescue someone besides April.
