The TMHT (Hero Turtles) non-Playmates merchandise thread
I'm going to open a separate thread to showcase the various products released in the UK/Europe that were never released elsewhere. It opens up a new level of challenge of collecting for those overseas, plus since the TMHT was only used in the 1990s, ensures that everything shown is from that decade (mostly early '90s at that).

LOL.
Given that you are from America and you obviously don't have your own collection of stuff from Europe you will of course use google search results. Good luck. Oh, also let me correct you . TMHT is not only from 90s. I have tons of stuff from 1990-1997/8 marked TMHT. |

The blue alarm clock and party invitation made me laugh...it says "please come to my party". Sounds kinda sad and desperate. Anyone else think it should say "Youre invited too my" or "We invite you to our" party?

Those Tattoos were great!
I will have to get my stuff together and contribute sometime. Some of my UK gear has already been showcased on Ninja Pizza and Go-Green Machine. (the badges, mugs, etc) There;s a few things like board games, jigsaw puzzles and stationary I'll capture and showcase when I remember. |

Great thread & pictures! Man that plaster molding set is cool, I'd like to track that down!

A lot of inconsistencies with Mike holding different weapons or is barehanded given that nunchucks were a no-no then. But good pics though.
|
Yeah, in the early days ('89-'90) the art was pretty inconsistent. Sometimes Mike'd have his 'chuks, sometimes barehanded, sometimes he'd have a sword, or a bo, or dagger. Sometimes all the turtles would be mixed up. Then again, the majority of this merchandise was just slapped together and rushed out with little care for accuracy, so it's not all that surprising.
Most of my stuff's in storage, but I'll try and get some photos of what I have up over the weekend. |
I should find my Heroes Turtles stuff...but it's probably at the bottom of one of my toy chests. I had like puffy stickers, notepads, gummy candy, ect. My grandparents were living in England in the 90's and sent me any Hero Turtles stuff they could find. *lol*

I had so much of this stuff, and still have most of it as well!
Note - most of the TMHT videos were just two episodes per tape; the long-length ones were not so frequent. My sons are now enjoying all those old books and comics, like "The Curse of the Evil Eye" one shown above. I love my TMHT :-) |
Some more TMHT stuff:
First, my beloved mug - still in daily use, after 23 years! http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT1.jpg Next, a book I found when moving house: http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT2.jpg And now, some vintage ads from the UK Hero Turtles comic: http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT3.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT4.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT5.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT6.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT7.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT8.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ogod/TMHT9.jpg |
