Alrighty guys... sneak peak at my first Turtles art of 2013.
Some of you may have seen this under Donatello's foot in one of my toy pictures :)

Great detail work! I'm kind of big "details" person when it comes to fanworks (fanart or fanfiction) because it helps to bring out the emotion of the character.
The scar on the plastron, the texture of the skin/muscles, the methodical facial appearance of Raphael (as if he's just waiting to attack), the lighting and shading. It's all gooood! :D

Just out of curiosity...I'm not complaining or anything, far from it, but...are the fingers supposed to be thin? It just looks a little "boney"...that's all. Sorry if it sounds like I'm nitpicking.

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-15-2013 12:33 AM

The hands should be a little larger but I put a lot of it in shadow.
The fingers were meant to look a little boney in the style I was going for in this, otherwise I would draw them a little more stubby.
I also wanted the hand to look a little more foreign... not so familiar.
Also I hadn't drawn a Turtle holding a Sai in forever and I'm used to drawing people with 5 fingers holding them so it was a little hard for me to figure, from the back, how I wanted to draw it.

Luzmagica 04-15-2013 12:52 AM

Great work!!!!!! :tgrin::tgrin::tgrin: :tcool: :twink:

Jay $tarkiller 04-15-2013 02:07 AM

Same over here:tgrin: Would love to get sth done in this style..especially since you kicking it off with my main buds Casemeister & Raph :tcool::tcool::tcool:

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-15-2013 03:21 AM

I'll see the timing. First I gotta get some art finished for my actual client I have a contract with.
AND We're gonna be moving in the month so that's hurting me as far as projections go but without a doubt I would love to take some commissions from you guys!

Here is a less than 30min sketch I just started within the last hour/hour and a half or so.

Some unrelated from TMNT work

Vol 1 cover art by Aurora O'Brien (concept, pencils), Steve Rude "The Dude" (pencils, inks) and I colored it

an inked sketch of Bruce Campbell as Batman.

Wow! That is amazing! If I didn't know any better, I would say it's official artwork! :tgrin:

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-15-2013 01:50 PM

the MSI is official art from them. I produced 1 other image and, like, 3 or 4 other designs that were posted online but were never used as I had thought they would (one was a hoodie design, one was a UK promo piece, etc).

And Zombie B.C. is official... since it's my work :D

Gwydion 04-15-2013 07:50 PM

Cool stuff - I really like your style! The Bebop sketch is looking pretty sweet, and I'm loving that unfinished Deadeye Duck!

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-15-2013 08:54 PM

Thanks! 'cus of it's age I'll probably never finish that Deadeye Duck because of where I am artistically.
I did draw and color a sketch I did of Bucky O'Hare as a browncoat and Deadeye Duck in a Star Fox uniform lol

I was working on Bebop a bit more, off and on today.

Jay $tarkiller 04-16-2013 04:52 AM

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-16-2013 10:45 PM

Awesome Casey pic and other pics, too. You really are talented, Ryan. Oh, and for future reference, I'm a girl.

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-20-2013 11:52 AM

Oh ya? Good to know:tcool:

Glad you guys like my work so far!

Mzx10484 04-21-2013 06:30 AM

8) Bebop looks superb !! As well as Casey !!

Crocapete 04-21-2013 10:34 AM

Such a great artist!! I look forward to more!

Gwydion 04-21-2013 12:48 PM

That Casey's looking pretty cool! Really liking it so far - can't wait to see it finished!

Also, Bucky as a browncoat = awesome.

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 04-25-2013 02:37 AM

Thank you!
A friend and I had a challenge for each other to cross over or re-deisgn a couple established characters. Bucky really was the focus and I forced Deadeye in the background as a Star Fox pilot.

Casey and Bebop are ready for inks.
I have another being pencilled and another still in skeleton form :tcool:

FlogginMcMurryZombiePizza 07-09-2013 03:23 PM

I'm Back!

I'm back :)

I also have a few Turtle pieces to share from my downtime.
Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey, April and Donatello.

I just need my computer back...
