Raph will be the turtle they focus on more!
I don't think the new movie would be any different than these last 4 movie; Raph will be turtle they will focus on and while the movie will be about the turtles, Raph will play a more important role since its him has more difficulty adjusting as a mutant. The 1 movie focus more on him than on his brothers as the second move and the 3 and 4.
I love Raph but I would rather they focus a little bit more on the other turtles. |
Ah, I see.
Can you tell me more of this exclamation-mark-riddled, superlative-less future from which you come? |
Mo Raph Mo problems. Haha
I love Raph (my favorite turtle) they could make a Bodycount movie and I would be first in line. I see your point, but his personality brings more dynamic drama for a movie. Mikey - comedy releif. Donnie - techie humor. Leo - serious bizznass. Raph - emotional shiz |
They're only focusing on Raphael this movie, because it's a solo story. Each turtle will have their his own film in which they'll face personal struggle, and become the heroes you know and love, before joining forces in the fifth film, 'The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.'
At the end of each movie, an agent from a secret organization named Scientific Planning and Logistical Intelligence for Ninjutsu Terrapin Education and Research (It's a mouthful, I know, but they're working on it) will arrive and recruit each turtle to the team. |
I heard in the next movie Casey will be gay.
|
If anything I think the only legitimate concern in this production as far as "who will be the focus" will be whether the Turtles themselves get the short end of the stick vs. the human cast... let alone any one Turtle.

I'd be more upset if they hadn't already made Raph the primary focus of the original TMNT.

I don't even think they're going to be in this movie. |
And, OP, how the hell do you know this? For all we know, none of the Turtles will have focus because it'll focus on the humans. Actually, Raph didn't have main focus in the second movie. Both Donnie and Raph got a lot of screen time in that one, and they all had focus in the third movie for some reason or another. Fourth movie was heavily focused on both Leo and Raph for the most part.

All MikLeo does is talk out of his ass, Bubbly. Pay it no heed.

I know this is too early to judge but..
Judging from the recent pics, you can see there's not a Raph actor in mo-cap suit in sight. He's out there somewhere eluded from being captured by the Foot soldiers. My suspicions is that Raph is gonna be the lead again, hero of the day saving everybody, being the main center like in 2007 movie. *sigh* I hope I'm wrong. |
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest if Raph gets the most focus along with Leo. At least give Don and Mike decent amount of dialogue. I would expect Mikey to be groaning and moaning while they are being restrained and escorted by the Foot.
|
I hope they do focus on Raph, makes for the most interesting story in my opinion. Plus it's not hard to tell, he's the only one missing when they're captured.
However--I'm with Andrew and that little animated GIF, ha. I'm so uninterested in this folly-movie that I just want it to be over with and done. Nothing good can come out of something that has cast Vern, I don't care who's playing him. VERN. |

Considering the franchise's Raph-centric history and Eastman's favorite Turtle, inputting my money on Raph saves the day!

Mhmm, or even like in "Same As It Never Was", how he can handle things on his own. Badass Mikey. <3
|
As much as I enjoy Raphael, I hope is character isn't emphasized too much and the movie makers don't make his personality traits to an extreme. Using cantankerous and irritable Raphael seems to be an easy and shallow plot device for the movie makers to create some "drama" within the Turtles.
Well... one can only wait and see how things develop. |
I hope that all 4 turtles get a lot of screen time. I don't want them to disservice any of their characters. I hope they make audiences get attached to all their personalities and traits.
|
I love Raphael and all hence my username but I don't wanna see the same ole same ole Raphael and Leonardo fighting and him storming off like as seen in movie 1 and 2 just gets kinda old but that's just my OP. But maybe this movie will do it different.
|
It never concerned me that Raphael got so much attention. It probably just happens naturally. I'm working on my first fanfic, now, and I'm finding that giving each turtle proper attention is the hardest part. It's easy for Raph to take over the story.
|
I'd rather Raph just be sarcastic like he was in the OT, And just move on, him and Leo at each other's throats has been done to death.

See you at the "Fan Works Discussion" soon chrisdude! :) |
I never remember him having problem with being a mutant he never wanted to be a turtle again, he just didn't like authority or doing things he didn't want to.
|
Ralph's drama is an easy focus point, it also has historical significance in the tmnt verse. I think that aspect is the least of my concerns.
|
There is no "Ralph".
|
Of course they are gonna focus on Raph, he's the "Wolverine" of the group, cause he got them three pointed weapon thingies to slice and dice people and gets angry all the time.
|
I hate Wolverine so much...
|
I like him when he is well written on overly overpowered, something that is the norm in modern comics.
After he regained Adamantium in his bones, someone seems to have forgotten that his healing factor is limited due to Adamantium being poisonous. Suddenly he goes from spending days to regenerate from a lethal sword wound to spending hours to regenerate from having almost all of his flesh burned away. |
They should do something different, like the IDW comic. It's a refreshing change that dynamic bantering is between Don and Leo. Don being the logical scientific mind vs Leo the spiritual mind, much more interesting. And I actually sympathize with Raph since he lost his memory as opposed to being a sour puss all the time.
