Foreshadowing in the Show
Saber16 noted in the Pulverizer Returns thread of how a conversation between Mikey and Donnie seemed to foreshadow Pulverizer's mutation. Mikey wanted to pour mutagen on himself to become a super mutant, and Donnie says he will become "a pile of goo on a sidewalk."
That got me thinking. This show foreshadows a lot: -Karai said her name was Harmony; Miwa means harmony in Japanese -Every Space Heroes segment alludes to what will happen the episode (like when Captain Ryan fell in love with a villian in The New Girl in Town) -Bradford and Xever get flushed down with sewer water in Enemy of my Enemy; they mutate in the same manner in The Gauntlet I'm sure there are more instances of foreshadowing, can you guys think of anymore? Also, what things seem to potentially foreshadow future revelations (besides the whole Karai/Miwa thing)? |

Plus mutagen man was featured on the comic cover before. |
The lack of a Sonic stage in Donnie saves a princess: possible Sonic crossover?
April using a fan indicates that she might become Venus Di Milo. |

Let's see...
-The cover on Mikey's comic book in ''Pulverizer Returns" has a brain in the jar -Bradford gets bit by a dog and Xever handles a fish before getting mutated There's a decent amount of foreshadowing. I'm not sure what could be foreshadowing future events, besides all the hinting about the Karai/Miwa thing. |

I sorta kinda inspired a forum page :0
Awesome! (I'm not this full of myself, I swear!) Fans have also picked up on the jar used to capture Timothy has a bit of a torso like shape to it and might be used as the base for a new body. Seriously, I don't know what's more insane: The detail the writers put into this or how good the fans are at picking up on it. I'm really not that great when it comes to making observations until after I've had the clues shoved under my nose, but I'm certain many more are on the way. |

Let's not forget the hockey-masked graffiti guy that keeps showing up! :D

This one's pure speculation, but some have suggested that Leatherhead's owner could be Casey. I could see that, even if the time frame seems a bit off. LH is a baby in the pic and his owner is a teen living at home, so that would make LH pretty young, since Casey's been confirmed to be eighteen when he shows. Of course, alligator years =/= human years, plus the mutation, so who knows. I would like to have seen Casey outside his gear at some point without knowing it was him though. Spoiler:

I would love to see LH meet his owner again one day... That'd make for a really cool episode somewhere down the line.:tgrin: |

Thank you! I can actually tell it says CJ now :D awesome.

For the most part the majority of mutations were foreshadowed. Snake in the first episode already made me believe Snakeweed would be the first evil mutant and he was near some weeds during the diversion, Vic got surprisingly significant in Turtle Temper along with spiders in the building made me think of the spider mutant Spider Bytez even the Rat King because Victor Falco's neurochemical with all the rats in his hideout. I also have a big theory that Steranko could be Newtralizer because of the big bulky body of his is surprisingly reminds me of Newtralizer, the armor he wears and the fact that he's a weapon specialist and Newtralizer has quite a number of weapons on him.
|
I love the foreshadowing in this show. It's just so awesome how the writers drop hints as to what might come later. Also, Rat King's design was shown on one of Raph's comic books.
|
There's foreshadowing and then there's cause and effect. If I eat a chocolate biscuit it isn't foreshadowing when I take a brown s*** later on. Point is, some of these are stretching it a bit.
So I was thinking about this a bit more: April's dad's name is Kirby...could that mean she's a drawing? |
Karai being a reflection in the opening rather than a full shot indicates she's redeemable, unlike the rest.
|
I pointed this out before. In "Follow the Leader" there is a moment where Leo is stating about how it's their responsibility to find and get all the Mutagen Canisters. And the moment he says "Some "Random Joe" gets mutated." the shot is completely focused on Donnie scanning for the mutagen.
This could be foreshadowing that Donnie will mutated again at some point. Also the fact second mutations have been introduced at all hints that one of the Turtles may undergo a second mutation down the road. Also there have been two moments where Donnie has been grabbed from behind and pulled away from his brothers. This could also hint that the Turtles will have a point where he isn't able to be with them. |
Shellacne episode, Bradford says something about Baxter probably mutating into a bug. Obvious foreshadowing for fly Baxter

the forshadowing in this show is incredible

Yeah, I love how some things foreshadow others and they come up later. So awesome.

I've noticed that Mikey is being protected by his brothers alot this season and

For what it's worth, Mikey has a poster of Muckman in his room. I hope that's a sign he'll be in season 3, just like Mutagen Man was shown on a few comic covers in season 1.
Muckman was my second favorite figure behind Mutagen Man. |
