How tall do you like your turtles

A tiny bit shorter than the average male for me

Justin 08-15-2013 10:24 AM

Small enough to cuddle and hold.

So 4kids turtles or Ot ones

Tuxedo Moroboshi 08-15-2013 10:33 AM

Somewhere just under or around five feet tall, maybe a few inches taller. Depends on which Turtle, as I like the idea of them all being different heights, but that's the general area I like for all of them. Short but kickass, like Wolverine.

NinjaMan 08-15-2013 10:43 AM

I like them short like they were in all 3 animated series.

ABrown 08-15-2013 10:50 AM

Short, but taller than Master Splinter. Which is probably my biggest problem that I have with the Nickelodeon series.

Why is that even a problem?

pingclang 08-15-2013 12:47 PM

Around 5 feet tall.

MsMarvelDuckie 08-15-2013 01:56 PM

I'd say about 5'6", give or take. Reason being, I'm 5' tall myself, and it's hard for most people to take someone my height seriously, and that would be even more true in a battle. Everyone underestimates the little guy(gal), or just flat out treats them as a non-threat. Trust me. I've proven it many times in personal experience. So I'd say they should be about 5 1/2 feet, just to make them seem a little more like a legitimate threat. But still a bit short.

Zulithe 08-15-2013 02:03 PM

6" scale is my favorite scale for action figures. for me it's the best balance of overall size, allowing for a good level of sculpting, paint apps and joints. Once you start getting larger they quickly take up tons of space. For example, Hot Toys look incredible but you'd need a lot of space to display more than just a few. I do love Hot Toys but 6" is still better for me :3

MsMarvelDuckie 08-15-2013 02:04 PM

Um, I think they were talking about the characters, not the toys.....

Refractive Reflections 08-15-2013 04:21 PM

I think also we may have to consider that these are teenage males, so they could grow an extra 3-5 inches more (at least with human males :P) when they reach adulthood. Just a thought...

BabyTurtles 08-15-2013 04:25 PM

around 5 feet with Mikey being 4'9

...basically as tall as the nick turtles XD

At least for me, I think of Splinter as being short. Imagine if someone went and made Yoda from Star Wars tall. That's how I feel about Splinter being tall.

Icebot 08-15-2013 04:37 PM

I like them tall, like they were in Red Sky from the first cartoon, maybe a little shorter than the 4kids ones.

I feel more or less the same way, too.

Well they're trying to go for a different interpretation of him. A guy who is a little less spiritual and is much more militaristic. You know, like a calm drill sergeant.

Powder 08-15-2013 07:02 PM

First film.

Lord Nightwalker 08-15-2013 07:57 PM

Hmm. Never really thought about it.

Vivi 08-15-2013 08:54 PM

Around 5'6 to 5'10. Not tall per say, but just average or slightly under average male height. I think it's better to have a visually unremarkable difference when against a normal sized human.

Bossa Nova 08-15-2013 10:29 PM

I prefer them a bit on the "short" side for the average (American) male. If we're to get specific, I'm fond of roughly 5' for Mikey, 5'3" for Leo, 5'5" for Donnie and 5'6" for Raph. Anything over 5'6" seems too tall for the turtles imo since I like them just a tad shorter than April at the very least who I like to think of around 5'7"/8".

inbaly 08-16-2013 04:57 AM

OT and nick

ryukenden 08-16-2013 10:33 AM

No more than 5'10. It would be kind of weird seeing the Turtles being huge in the next movie.

Plasticplayhouse 08-16-2013 11:02 AM

i'd say ranging between 5' 4" - 5' 7"

909 Turtle Fan 08-16-2013 04:02 PM

5'2" 245lbs

Raphaeline 08-16-2013 05:12 PM

As teenagers, I don't mind seeing them shorter than April.

But I hope that when they grow up they will have the same size as human males, and taller than April.

TrickOrTreater 08-16-2013 06:35 PM

I really like the way they look in the Nick cartoon and OotS. Their height and body types.

Guess you could say that's my ideal.

TigerClaw 08-16-2013 06:36 PM

Through every incarnation, The Turtles had different sizes. In the upcoming live action reboot. It is said that the Turtles will be much taller, Either the size of an average human being or more.

NSP 08-16-2013 08:08 PM

I like the height they were in the first movie.

DONATELLO DUZMACHINES 08-17-2013 09:59 PM

I like the heights of the Nick series

Shark_Blade 08-17-2013 10:08 PM

Nick turtles height. And I especially love that Splinter is tall, towering over them.
