So who is looking forward to tmnt more than korra
So do you guys feel the same way
|
I don't watch Korra.
|
Korra...isn't that the stuff at the bottom of the ocean?
|
Dude, you're on a TMNT forum, I'm pretty sure the majority would go for TMNT any day.
|
Quality over quantity, dude. Stop making a ton of bad threads.
|
What is Korra.?
|
I've been a TMNT fan since before I could walk. Meanwhile I haven't seen a single episode of either Avatar or it's sequel series. I'll let you put two and two together...:twink:
|
Wtf is Korra? Ain't nobody got time for that.
We're here for the turtles. :tcool: |
It's a great show and I did watch the first season. I'll Most likely watch the 2nd but at the end of the day my heart is still loyal to TMNT hands down.
|
I don't watch Korra.
|
I don't really watch cartoons at all, save for TMNT.
|
I'm looking forward to both! Nick will have my full attention Saturday mornings.
|
Apples and Oranges.
I'm in the mood for watermelon though... |

Avatar/Korra is the greatest animated series of all time. It's a pretty bold claim but if you watch it, you'll know why.
And it's not necessarily for kids, there's a murder-suicide scene at the last episode. So yeah, I'm more excited for Korra Season 2 but TMNT is just starting so we shouldn't compare just yet! It would be awesome if Turtles was on the prime time slot on Fridays after Korra. :) |
I got bored with Legend of Korra, tbqh. I got annoyed with the romance plot and how the de-powered benders got their abilities back. Feels like a cop-out.
I am willing to watch season 2 though. Show deserves another chance. |
I caught one episode of Korra and really wasn't interested, but I might check out season 2 anyway just to see if I like it or not. I love TMNT though, so I'm definitely anxious for their second season.
|
I'm more looking forward to Korra. :trazz:

Korra is absolutely thought provoking. Can you honestly say that about TMNT? Maybe the comics or 2K3 but anything else, I don't think so...
|
Is that one of those weird "I wish I were an anime" series? No, thank you.
|
legend of Korra got annoying.......romance bleh.....and it didn't really solve the main problem in the end...you can't just have great animation to be a good show...
totally looking forward to TMNT more :3 but I'll give Korra another chance :D (loved Avatar the last airbender~) |
I'm looking forward to both. Though more towards TMNT.

sure you can say they got inspiration from the way anime looks. but the way the animation flows is different~ :3 and lots of kick butt girls!! XD (like seriously the girls can be scarier than the dudes sometimes XD LOL) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCKjtKZDr3s |

It's basically the Cowboy Bebop of American animation. Where Bebop was an anime americanised, Avatar is an American production inspired by anime. Both are perfect in what they achieve!
Korra did resolve its central conflict btw, and it was much more complex than any other show on TV right now... |

I love TMNT, but I only just discovered the 2K3 series last fall, and that is still an incredibly high bar for the Nick TMNT to climb to (being so fresh in my mind). I also agree that the Avatar cartoon is the best of all time. Korra isn't as good as Avatar, but it is a continuation and the music on that show is STELLAR. Seriously, watch Korra just for the music. That said, TMNT is right behind Avatar/Korra, and I look forward to it more than anything else besides Game of Thrones. |
I watched season 1 of Korra, but I can't say I enjoyed it. It started off ok, but the forced love triangle was cringe worthy, and the ending felt like a cop out. It looked gorgeous and seemed like it could have been an interesting story, but it just didn't all come together for me.
So yeah, very much looking forward to TMNT, and no plans to watch Korra. More guaranteed episodes could fix most of the flaws, though, so I might give it another shot sometime down the road depending on reviews. |

XD you'll love the characters :3 the only thing anime about it is the art style and how it's about Asian culture :3 (but it's not just Japanese culture, it has Korean, Chinese...it also has Inuit culture :3) |
I prefer Archer.
Spoiler:
|
Archer really is F***ing fantastic.
|
i enjoyed the original avatar, korra just did not pique my interest from the couple episodes i saw.

Totally different things, Korra & TMNT. I am looking forward to both.
The Avatar series is amazing. Really well written. The continuity is stellar, attention to details is impeccable. Best newer show in a LONG while. Korra really surprised me and I am totally looking forward to S2. TMNT ... I like for a totally different reason. I have been into TMNT since before the original cartoon (seriously, no joke). I really like what they've done with the Nick series. It's had something for everyone. The only thing I didn't like was the Mutant of the week thing, but they seem to have strayed (at least a little bit) away from that and started to focus on the story arcs already in motion. Loving the Splinter/Shredder/Karai thing and can't wait for more. Also looking forward Casey, Bebop, Rocksteady and Baxter mutating. I also hope to see some Triceraton's and Fugitoid. Both shows are awesome. |
I am looking forward to both, they are the best two shows on Nick.
