I mean in one moment she is pretty and the next moment she is ugly, sort of weird

haha youre actually right. i guess it just the way shes animated each time. but even the moments when shes not the most attractive i still like her design.

BubblyShell22 08-27-2013 08:27 AM

Uh, what? I don't think there's any difference to her looks. She looks the same each time.

Shark_Blade 08-27-2013 08:30 AM

Ditto. Far from "ugly".

pingclang 08-27-2013 10:39 AM

Karai is very...well, I'll keep that to myself. The only time I've seen her look bad was her "street" clothes looked off for some reason.

That's cause her be-dunka-dunk vanished when she wore those jeans. It's like she became a stick figure from the waist down which makes no sense since her ninja outfit is skin tight.

As for her face I'm sure it looks the same. I mean isn't that how cgi works? They have the same model to use each and every time. That's why Ralph's shell is chipped in just the exact same spot each and every time. They reuse the same model.

Bossa Nova 08-27-2013 11:46 AM

You're likely just seeing her from different angles and the way the shadows are falling across her face. I personally don't see much difference, she's pretty much ugly as sin no matter what she's doing.

Hadn't even thought of that, I should have noticed. She still looked weird, not JUST because you couldn't see her ass.

Donatello19 08-27-2013 02:11 PM

She always looks fine to me...except in her street clothes, which others have stated.

I didn't like her pants...or IDK...something XD

she didn't have a shape....compared to April.....

Shark_Blade 08-27-2013 07:38 PM

What do you mean she has no shape? Her shape's right there:

Can I just say, I always find it weird seeing such great asses on characters in children cartoons.

BabyTurtles 08-27-2013 07:41 PM

lol no! I meant when she's wearing her casual clothes!

the ones in Karai's vendetta.

Luckyday 08-27-2013 09:24 PM

When it comes to her street clothes, they probably just took off the head of the usual model and stick on the one with street clothes. Who did the street clothes model didn't really bother to look at the original. Then again leather jackets are not are not suppose to hug tightly around the body unless you're not planning to move your arms freely. I can't find any excuse for the jeans but I would have to guess the cloth on it is thick and has no stylish cut unlike a pair of hip huggers. A certain cut can stand in a way in having a good ass or a very frumpy looking one.

I think Karai would have looked better in some skinny jeans with black boots XD...I'm not trying to be the fashion police though....

(but now I have a strong desire to draw her in different pants...)

Luckyday 08-27-2013 09:34 PM

I know she would feel at home at Hot Topic.

Electric 08-27-2013 09:43 PM

i didnt think it was the jeans, i thought it was the jacket making her look off. she went from being skinny fluffed up

yea I think the jacket helped....maybe if it was a tad slimmer...? :)

Yes, yes it is........anyway.

The pants made me think of those JNCO jeans with the wide legs that were kinda popular in the early 2000's. Maybe it was the jacket, I dunno. It's been too long since I saw the episode last.

snake 08-28-2013 03:09 PM

She looks the same to me. Except when they have a close up of her face.

Electric 08-29-2013 06:13 PM

her nose is the only thing the bother me...

Stingray69 08-29-2013 08:29 PM

The only thing I don't care for is that black cap thing she wears. One it makes it look like she has two different hair colors. Two it makes her look like she has goofy ears.

uhh..thats not a cap...thats her hair. her hair is black and dyed blonde in the back

Andrew NDB 08-30-2013 10:47 AM

Shesus, isn't she only supposed to be like 15 in the show? And you guys are oogling her?

You should all be put on some kind of registry...

Dante 08-30-2013 12:55 PM

To be quite honest, I'm glad that Karai doesn't look typical beautiful or attractive with oozing appeal like certain women are showered with.
May she be ugly as sin or not- the design has grown on me and I quite like it.

On towards what this thread is about, I haven't really taken a notice of it myself. Maybe I'll get to re-watch it and see what the deal is about. :\

I thought Karai was an adult? To me she seems around 20ish.

DarkLightDragon 08-30-2013 01:47 PM

In other incarnations, yes, she's an adult.

But in this show, she's clearly around or slightly older than the Turtles and April.

BabyTurtles 08-30-2013 01:51 PM

I think Karai looks very pretty :)
I like it when she wears that black mask XD

I don't mind the hair, but I kinda wish it was a little darker....then maybe the blonde part would obviously be dyed. IDK

Excuse me but I couldn't help but think this while reading your comment.
"I find Karai to be very pretty! ... When she wears her mask!"
:tlol:

BubblyShell22 08-30-2013 04:18 PM

Karai is sixteen, the same age as April since Splinter hinted that Miwa would be April's age in "Baxter's Gambit."

Then why doesn't the black show textures like the blonde? And how would u get your hair into that weird shape that hangs down by her ears?

never noticed the non-texture, probably because its too dark, and you have to remember its a cartoon. the shape, isnt exactly realistic, but its the way its cut. that is her hair
