Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter: the lyrics "It's just a shout away" I heard as "It's just a shadow way".

I heard it as Stand (or stance), I wish I Was Your Lover.

For some time I thought Van Halen's "Panama" was "Animal".
And that Ram Jam's "Black Betty" was "Black Medic".

I always thought "Raphael is cool, but crude" was "Raphael is cool, but rude".

Every time they sing "Shake your Hand" and "Share the Land", I'm mishearing as "Shave your Head".

Another song I still mishear the lyrics too is Get Your Shine On by Florida Georgia Line.

Every time the sing "shine on", I'm mishearing the lyrics as "sat on" or "sad on".

For "We Built This City", instead of "While Cody plays la-bamba"... I always heard "While Cody faced the vampire!"... and even after knowing better, I still sing those lyrics anyway - cuz facing a vampire is way cooler than just playing la-bamba. :P

As a Kid i was stupid enough to beleive "elemenohpee" was a letter in the Alphabet song. :P

A classical one in Germany is:
"The Power" by SNAP!

instead of: „I’ve got the power“ some people hear: „Agathe Bauer“

There was even a woman, who requested the "agathe Bauer song" on radio :lol:

Hip to Be Square by Huey Lewis and the News: I misheard those lyrics as "Hit the B Square".

In the song "Hot wings" from the Movie Rio is one part I mishear everytime.

"You are too slow, you need to catch up?" is the original and I hear:
"You are too slow, you need to ketchup?"

I know it´s wrong, but I can´t help it :P

I always thought the lyrics to the Dawnson’s Creek theme as a kid went:

”I don’t want to wait, for our lives to be over - to promote this show, you’re watching.”

I've started hearing that every time I listen to the song now! :lol:

I think I found out about 10 years ago, whenever a particular song from Paul McCartney's Wings comes on, I always thought the main lyric was Man On the Run, not Band On the Run. Heh, I never knew.

Laura Branigan's Self Control, in the beginning, when she goes "Oh the night, is my world, city lights, painted girl" I had in the past thought it was painted gold.:ohwell:

Considering the scene that accompanies that line (a coffee machine that is huge and malfunctions spectacularly), it is an understandable mistake.
