Apparently there is a TMNT panel going on at Comikaze

It just started.

- Said they've been working on the film for 5 years

- Megan Fox sought out the producers for the April role before Bay came on board

- Eastman did concept art/sketches for the movie

Welmanshire 11-02-2013 04:27 PM

Cool. Keep us updated.

TigerClaw 11-02-2013 04:27 PM

I hope someone will have video of this panel.

NinjaPug 11-02-2013 04:39 PM

The panel isn't just about the new movie.

- They are going to release an alternate cut of the original movie, possibly in theaters.

NinjaPug 11-02-2013 05:28 PM

Before Teal Turtle asks over and over, no they didn't show what the Turtles look like or announce when they'd release any images of them.

There is nothing on that site about TMNT outside of what TigerClaw already posted in this thread.

God I hope so. Seeing the film the way he intended it to be would be amazing. Slap the commentary from the German edition and what ever else they can find on there and I will throw my money at them. All my money.

I'm not exactly shocked to see this, but I'm VERY excited. Bring it on. Fingers crossed for a clean transfer and loads of supplemental content.

I would love to see Barron brought back in to supervise the new (or old?) cut, as well as whatever cinematography/music changes Golden Harvest pushed on it after production wrapped.

Teal Turtle 11-02-2013 11:43 PM

This is great news!

Thanks for the updates.

Here are the bits that talk about TMNT
Quote:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, producer Scott Mednick (upcoming Ninja Turtles), and Randall Lobb (Turtle Power documentary) appeared for the panel called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the Big Screen--World Premiere of TMNT Documentary.

The trio mainly discussed and showed a clip of the upcoming 94 min. documentary, Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews. They also revealed that there may soon be an alternate cut of TMNT brewing, and also talked more about the progress of the upcoming Ninja Turtles feature reboot produced by Michael Bay, and starring Megan Fox as one of the major characters, April O'Neil.

To calm the negative rumblings amongst fans ever since the reveal of Fox's casting, the trio reassured everyone that Megan Fox had always been a huge fan of the Turtles and that "when you see her you will be pleased and amazed" and to "hold your opinions until you see it" and not to trust "all the rumors that you have heard." Whoopee Goldberg will also cameo in the film. They also noted that today's technology will greatly add to the quality.

Just noticed someone posted this earlier, But the video wasn't working in the post.

sgtfbomb 11-03-2013 11:07 AM

Who announced the alternate cut of the original film? How was it announced? Was it even announced, or was it, "Ok, I've heard that they might be doing an alternate cut...?"

we dont know..the movie could really come back to the theaters as they wish(?, need confirmation for this info) and then we in europe may just as well get to see it on the big screen again...lets hope so!

sorry, but can anyone who attended this can do a complete written report of everything that was shared there, please?or post a longer video than that one above a few posts?that would be helpful and sexy;)..thanks in advance!

chrisdude 11-04-2013 07:31 AM

A screening would be cool. Like a one-night event thing. When they released the remastered first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, they did a one-night screening of a couple episodes in select theaters. One night, one showing, and pretty much one location per major city. But it did happen. Dunno if turtles have that kind of pull, but with the 30th anniversary and all...
