I search TMNT on twitter basically everyday to try and find info about the new movie and came across this.

@Cspirop Sorry, I have no information about these trailers. But I think that the TMNT trailer may debut in December!

Wow December is a month away! Would be awesome if true.

@captingulliable was tweeting about rob schneider and his undisclosed role in the new movie as well. He said it will bring his The Animal character to the next level.

I really hope there is a trailer soon. We have seen other trailers for movies coming out in 2014 along with concept drawings on a few of them so it would be wonderful to see something for tmnt.

Please be aware that the majority of the members on this forum like accurate information. Speculation is frowned upon unless it is in a speculation/theory type of thread. Posting this as fact is just poor research and spreading of false/inaccurate information. Maybe a trailer is coming out next month, I doubt it, but unless Paramount or another person directly involved with the movie says so I don't believe it.

Thoughts? For me, it's kind of like there's a box that came in the mail that's sitting next to my computer... and I know that when it opens up, a Playmates executive is going to pop out of it and punch me in the face.

So, my thoughts on December? At least I know roughly when to expect the punch, I guess.

Because the reboot with the cartoon and toys have been huge. I'd like to think they will tie in the trailer with some kind of monatary opportunity. Movie tix presale. New toys or sumthing I still vote super bowl.

Why does @Cspirop sound so familiar..? Looking at his profile pic, I think I saw him hounding the Latino Review guys to drop that turtles scoop that turned out to be the lair pics. Whatever works, I guess.

Not a chance in hell. We haven't even seen a production design or release of what the turtles even look like. And we're supposed to believe a teaser trailer is coming out next month? Highly doubtful. I'm actually digging the mystery surrounding the character designs for this film. It harkens back to the days of movie build up and mystery before the advent of the internet, and the numerous movie sites that leak and spoil all kinds of things before movies release.

teaser trailers in November or December have come out for Summer movies before, So I wouldnt be surprise if they released a teaser for the new movie. But dont expect them to show any shots of the Turtles, I bet it will just be some of the humans and the only time you see the Turtles in the teaser will probably be via a shadow or silhouette.

Shooting wrapped at the start of August. Is it all that crazy to think a trailer could come four full months later?

They could show footage from the movie in a teaser trailer, but not the stuff that requires FX. So mostly shots of the human characters reacting to something.

I'm not saying they are fact, I was just pointing out something I found on twitter that might or might not be true.

I never said it was a given and that 100% getting a trailer next month.

The thing is, without knowing why I should put any stalk in this poster, I really don't have any thoughts. It'd be like if I decided to tweet that we'll get a teaser after next week's episode of TMNT on Nick.

But what the heck do I know...

remember that a teaser trailer could very well NOT show the turtles and maybe only show silhouettes or dark images,with turtle voice overs its the trend now for all summer movie trailers

and a teaser is exactly what we would be getting first not a trailer

so people expecting the teaser to show full blown turtles will be severely dispaointed

That's true too, and what I would expect given a teaser trailer. They probably aren't even close to doing finishing touches on the turtles, let alone having early un-finished renders of them in a trailer for the world to criticize in the negative filled world of the internet. But given the extreme lack of knowledge about this film, I doubt we get even a teaser trailer in December. I bet we get a teaser in March or April, and then the theatrical trailer in June or July.

From what I know and who I have spoken to, the models of the turtles were completed well before engaging in production. I don't know why people are of the opinion that they wouldn't be. Bay even said they have had the maquettes on set (or something to that effect, it was in an interview to do with Pain and Gain). These days effects places like Legacy will 3D print the maquettes, requiring a model to pre-exist. So, just based on that you can assume that they are far closer to "putting the finishing touches on the Turtles", if they haven't already.

If Paramount is smart, they'll show a trailer with Anchorman. It's their last tentpole movie of the year.

C'mon, guy. So it won't be as good as "Mallrats". We knew that going in, because nothing could ever be better than "Mallrats". I don't think they're trying to even go there. It still might be kinda fun. Give it a chance, Andrew. It still might be as good as any movie without Joey Lauren Adams ever could be.

If it is better than Mallrats, I will eat a chocolate flavored pretzel.
