TMNT dream job?

If you could have any job that dealt with the involvement of the turtles what would it be and why?

I think I'd work for playmates. I think it would be neat to be in charge of approving design concepts for toys. or If I was artistic enough I'd love to be involved in the comics in some fashion.

MikeandRaph87 11-13-2013 12:49 PM

Head writer of an animated series. I have tons of ideas I played out in fan-fiction I would love to incorporate into an animated show as far as tone, continuity, characters involved, and direction. It would be tons of fun bouncing ideas off of others and seeing what we come up with nispired by all that we love of TMNT and then seeing it play out as it develops and get fan feedback. A job like Tom and Ciro have is one to be jealous of.

Prowler 11-13-2013 02:09 PM

Yeah, head writer of an animated series would be great. I certainly would love being paid to draw TMNT comics as well. Directing a TMNT movie or playing a role in it would be pretty cool as well.

CyberCubed 11-13-2013 02:11 PM

A writer in the original toon universe. So much potential there.

The original cartoon is the only TMNT universe where literally ANYTHING can happen.

I think I'd try to come up with how Shredder and Krang met, and also explain Krang's backstory better.

BabyTurtles 11-13-2013 02:17 PM

artist for the 2012 comics~ *_* that would be AWESOME~

Yep, and I'd definitely do more with Traag and the Rock Soldiers...not to mention show Shredder reunite with the human Foot Clan in Japan.

And I'd also completely re-write the episode where they visited my city. It was completely wrong. They must have confused it with Pamplona or something

Zachatello00 11-13-2013 02:28 PM

Playmates Toys, quality control :)

Blossombrooks 11-13-2013 02:42 PM

Cover artist for IDW, I'm not consistent enough to do a whole comic but I could go nuts with covers. I'd also love to write the comics and be involved in character design. But honestly if it meant being involved any job there would be a dream!

BubblyShell22 11-13-2013 03:32 PM

I would say either a writer for the Nick show or a VA on the Nick show. Both would be awesome.

oooh~ do you have an interesting voice Bubbly?? :D

Michelangelo 11-13-2013 03:36 PM

The ultimate dream job would have been to have invented TMNT to begin with.
Since that's been done, I guess my dream job would be to have the most power over everything TMNT by possibly owning it and then getting involved in shaping everything about it from the shows to the comics. I mean you can't do everything but having control over everything, as a fan, would be a dream job.

Well, I'm pretty good at doing imitations of other cartoon characters, so I think I'd be good at it.

Candy Kappa 11-13-2013 03:52 PM

Comic Artist or Animator. Playing with the cg models of the new show would be a blast

Fourcylinder 11-13-2013 03:53 PM

I would love to be an artist on the tmnt comic, I am not actually an artist but its called a dream job for a reason right?

Andrew NDB 11-13-2013 03:57 PM

Just give me the job where I get to be the guy with complete veto control over the TMNT franchise and I'm happy.

Well, at least we'd get a serious and darker TMNT movie and/or cartoon for the first time. That would be pretty cool and a breath of fresh air.

Or nothing at all. Which I'd be OK with too.

Think of the money you'd make, though. You wouldn't even have to sell out. A faithful adaptation of the Mirage Comics could be pretty great and make them more well-known.

Powder 11-13-2013 06:08 PM

Cover artist for IDW, designing merchandise art (like in the 90's where everything was hand drawn, as opposed to now when they recycle the same CG stock poses over and over), or being a voice actor involved with an animated series.

Cipher 11-13-2013 06:39 PM

Comic writer.

pannoni1 11-13-2013 06:47 PM

For me it would be the marketing director (Mark Freedman for example). They can provide as much merchandise as possible and more importantly can be part of QC with regards to seeing if its not only a good product, but can have an indirect influence on the other units, such as the Playmates toys, cartoons, comics, and movies. And there's always an opportunity to still be creative and make my own merchandise.

dragonside 11-13-2013 07:11 PM

What would you do if you couldn't fail, TMNT style.

I would totally want to be World's most Renowned expert on TMNT with my own TV Show, exploring the entirety of the franchise. Meeting people, hunting and collecting figures, games, movies, eer'thang.

Opening up a museum in my Home City.

All this being paid for or if I won the lottery.

raph27 11-13-2013 07:34 PM

Merchandise designer for Nick show, Playmates Quality Control. No more:
unpainted Fishface eyeball
Cracking Fishface fin
Random plastic squares
Sticky stuff between fingers
Random paint splotches on Don and Shredder
Unmovable Snakeweed arm hinges
Loose Baby Mikey arm joints
:x all of these happened to me :x
Also, I heard there is a job for Lucasfilm where all this guy does is play with Star Wars toys and approve them. He gets paid a TON, and he works right down the hall from Lucas. So they're close friends.
I would LOVE to do that for TMNT.

RaphAndDonnie 11-13-2013 07:43 PM

I would work animating on one of the shows. I love animation, Turtles and hope to become an animator anyway so working on one of the shows would be like icing on the cake. :D

Hell if I were just drawing concept art for characters I would be happy.

Donatello19 11-13-2013 07:59 PM

Doing a character's voice is always cool, but I'd also love to be an animator or illustrator for the comics. Also, working for Playmates Toys would be...interesting.

Wildcat 11-13-2013 11:23 PM

Creating my own live action movies. Not because of Michael Bay or anything with the new movie just that Id love to put together my own version of a movie series.

Doing an animated series has been done 3 times and it also takes way more writing and coming up with storylines so I don't feel a big need to do that.

I love drawing and Id say Im pretty good. Not great but good enough so Id like to design everything in the movies.

Shark_Blade 11-14-2013 12:54 AM

Comic artist.

:tlove:

Slime State Alumni 11-14-2013 02:03 AM

Concept/character design artist for the toy line and the cartoon. Working on the comic would be fun too.

TheBlueTurtle1 11-14-2013 05:39 AM

I would love to work on art design side of things, coming up with new character concepts, designing the turtles etc.

miru 11-14-2013 09:08 AM

Toy design under Playmates, to show them how fan-favorites could work as toys.

TheSkeletonMan939 11-14-2013 01:11 PM

One of the head writers for an animated series. I've got a lot of little ideas in my head that would work across long story arcs.

shreddinghead 11-14-2013 01:24 PM

Making tmnt costumes.

Whatswiththeheadbands? 11-14-2013 02:27 PM

Head boss of playmates. And my first order would be to put either Discogod or plasticplayhouse in charge of the prototypes for the figures.

Krutch 11-14-2013 03:21 PM

director of a live action tmnt film

Icebot 11-14-2013 03:24 PM

My dream job would be writing episodes of an 11th season of the first cartoon, what happened after Divide and Conquer. I have plenty of ideas.

snake 11-14-2013 08:22 PM

Head of the original toon'. I would have more storylines and keep it like S1, but make it better as it goes along.

Riel 11-15-2013 02:11 PM

I'd love to animate them, or make comics. I love planning comics about them, but I'm always too lazy to finish them..!

And yes, if I could do something with the TMNT I'd definitely make something more darker, but then it wouldn't be a show for children anymore.. I love how the comics can be a bit darker, but we rarely see anything dark animated.. I'd love to see that.

I'd love to make a cartoon more or less lighthearted, but as time goes on and the turtles get older, it gets darker and darker and more mature.

Then, in one of the much later episodes, April looks through some old videos of herself and the turtles from season one, and how much fun they're having as compared to now.
