Other places where the Nick TMNT cartoon is discussed?
As we all know this forum is just one forum for the TMNT franchise across the entire internet. But what I'm mainly interested in is these so-called, "New Nick TMNT fans," that just got into the franchise because of this show.
These April/Donnie shippers, younger fans, who have no knowledge of prior TMNT. Where else is the Nick show discussed online with a healthy fanbase? I got to see opinions that are different than the ones here. |
Why, ya running out of people to piss off here at the 'Drome?
|
:P You could always try the official Nick website message board for TMNT:
http://www.nick.com/mynick/messagebo...tml?bID=106919 I'd assume that's where viewers who are first interested/introduced to the show, would probably go to first. |

I just want to see other opinions on the franchise who aren't hardcore TMNT fans like people here. And, if necessary, educate them on certain aspects and tailor them to the general consensus of the entire fandom.
I realize some of the people might be young kids around 10-12 years old...but its better to start young. |

OMFG YOU ARE INSANE.
First off... why do you call them 'so-called' fans just because they started watching the turtles with this show? Can they help it if they weren't growing up in the 80's? I find that to be very insulting. That's like me calling you a so-called Batman fan cause you most likely started with the Animated Series and never picked up a comic before then. Secondly, they don't need to be educated about past versions or whatever. They know how to google. Plus, most stores either carry the old show on DVD, the TMNT movie 4-pack or 80's-themed Hot Topic shirts. There's a movie coming out next year not based on the new Nick show. Noone is gonna think the Turtles are some super brand new property that was just created today like Adventure Time. Any older sibling or parent can tell them 'oh yeah.... I grew up watching those guys'. They'll know there are other versions past there. |
What's wrong with a little history? I'm not saying they have to even check out older stuff, just to see that they are well-informed. There's nothing wrong with some enlightenment.
The first Batman I ever saw was the 1989 movie, but I also wound up seeing the 60''s show on reruns and all other Batman incarnations. |

I don't know what the overreaction here is. I'm not "forcing" anyone to do anything, just to see what they're saying and educate them on the franchise history if they don't know something.
|
CyberCubed, if there's one think these new fans don't need, it's you "educating" (And I use the term loosely) them about the TMNT franchise. If they want to know more about the history of the Turtles, they can go look for it themselves. That's why we have the Internet.
|
No dude, I just lost it at 'educate them', haha.

Some people can take an innocent topic and turn it into something its not.
|
Bottom line. Kids aren't stupid. They can google. They don't need any of us educating them. I'm sure they have their own older fans there to educate them. And if they love this show and only this show they're still just as much a fans of the TMNT as you or I.

Not to be smug, I just sincerely wonder if that's the impression you have. |

If you are trying most of our limits of patience (most of us being teenagers and adults), just imagine how younger kids are going to react. If these kids are just that interested, as others have said, there's the internet, it's not like things today are how we grew up (when the internet was nonexistent or in its infancy) when accessing information outside of our tangible "corner of the world" was very difficult. |
you sure know how of to make 'em CC i dont think youll ever learn...
if anything youre gonna end up turning people away from it and even you dont want that. |
|
Not sure if good to be gone with CyberCubed, or to feel bad for those who would receiving him as a "professor"...
|
D'aaw, reading the young Apritello fans discussion just made my heart turn to jello lmao  How cute.

"Both have tooth gaps, both have brownish redish eyes, both like April, and Target:April O'Neal proved that they seem to have similar mindsets.
Chances are if she falls for Casey, she will realize that the reason she likes everything that she likes about Casey is because of Donnie." Whoa. Interesting! |

Be careful Jester...;), because CyberCubed could instruct a legion of young followers to follow his "cubed" TMNT perspective. (With the young pupils responding, "Yes Master CyberCubed. Kraang Prime is the OT Krang.") Then during the course of a few years, there could be a secret accumulating Armada of registering members here that could initiate a blindsided forum war in making CyberCubed's perspective firmly victorious in the 'Drome Forums over everyone else's. Dun Dun Dun...:lol: |
I just wet myself from fear....

With an armada of followers, the moderators will be overflooded with inappropriate posts beyond their working capacity and soon the members and administration will become weary and leave the forums, leaving the site due to the sheer volume of complaints and aggravation. Thus making CyberCubed and his followers a majority in the forums, and eventually becoming the administration itself. His TMNT ideology will become the Technodrome Forums ideology. With the forums overtaken, the next plan of attack will be the official TMNT franchise if it does not agree with CyberCubed's tastes. The Nick show doesn't appease CyberCubed? He will send forth his online legion to follow and track down the Nick staff's online contacts and start online petitions. (;) Remember CyberCubed wanted to know the Facebook links?) Well what about the direction of any future TMNT movies? The same response. Eventually his tastes will become a significant factor of the fandom with the vast number of pupils he has instructed, and therefore change the direction of the TMNT franchise itself. Sweet dreams Jester... ;) |

I'm with everyone here. Let them enjoy the turtle the franchise the way they want

Well in that case I will offer you no suggestions on where you can mold the minds of the new fans. |
This gotta be the funniest thread in years.... And might be my favorite CC thread yet. Followers of the Cubed unite!!

Cubed, you really don't get it, do you? There are plenty of other forums where TMNT is discussed. I'm a part of a few of them, but I'm not telling you what they are because I really don't want you to corrupt people with your idiocy. People don't need to be educated on TMNT by you. There's Google and many other places where they can get that information. Just STFU and leave others alone. It shouldn't matter to you if kids only like the Nick show or if they didn't grow up with the 80's show. That's life, man. Get over it and stop trying to force your point of view on someone else or make them feel inferior because they don't know the same things you do about TMNT. That is awful and insulting. The forums I'm apart of have fans of all the incarnations of TMNT, so none of them have to be educated anyway.
And for the record, I also ship Apriltello, and I'm not a twelve-year-old girl. |

I assume by tailor them to the "general consensus" you mean your opinions, since you usually fight so hard to try and make those the consensus. And no, it's not better to start young. The last thing we need is for young fans to be forced into having your opinions, only for them to grow up and come here. 1 cybercubed is enough |

Couldn't resist. Seriously, though, Cubed. If we put to a vote who would "educate" these new fans (seriously, what a dumb idea anyway!), we would choose a box of Cheerios over you. Of course, alliance would also be below the box of Cheerios, so yeah. Getting back to the point, I've never heard of a more idiotic idea in my life. Even if someone who actually KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT did this, it would still be pretty idiotic. Also, listen to JYX, man. He speaks the truth! We DON'T need this to happen! |
Yay! I was hoping you'd use that meme, Collector Guy. Well done.
