New Leaked Book Images
Once again, the turtle designs look so cool. I believe some of those pictures are of the on set models. Shredder looks menacing. Splinter is cute, yadda ... yadda.
Everything so far is great, has me feeling anticipation for a big screen turtles property like I'm a small child again. http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...psy6f0veag.jpg http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps2z8wj1c2.jpg http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps4spcjg7z.jpg |
So awesome. Loved the new designs since day one. Movies gonna do good. Can't wait to weekend of August 8th. I'm gonna try and see twice. Maybe three times. :tgrin::tgrin::tgrin::tcool:

Is it considered "leaked" if the guy was given a copy specifically for showing people pictures?

I always thought they look awesome since the first leaked set pics. :D
These are amazing. |
Damn, splinter looks awesome! At least they got one character right.
|
Looks like concept art PD splinter isn't having a top knot, or as protruding Fu Man Shu facial hair, bit hard to tell in the picture.

Yeah, comparing the art to the toy, it seems they are very different designs then just copy paste extra hair bits. But that movie toy looks atrocious, guess well see for sure then the new trailer hits, the Kappa said in a diplomatic tone.

I like the Splinter shown here as opposed to the new Splinter (although I like him too).
|
Looks great to me!

Wish I could read the text! I bet it talks about the plot

However, you are indeed correct. That picture of Leo's face is from the maquette and that Raphael is also the maquette. Too bad they don't have pictures of all the maquettes from front/side/back. Despite thinking they look pretty bleh and despite hating their clothes the statues STILL looked pretty damn cool. I'd like to see them in full. No way in hell I'd shell out $250 a piece for them. These movie turtles will NEVER EEEEEEEEEEEEEVER stand up to the tried and true comic maquettes. ;) Though it would be interesting if the movie maquettes special edition version came with more comic inspired heads to swap to which you prefer (the original maquettes heads could be swapped for colored vs red bandannas. Raph's special edition was an alternative hand holding the sai to throw with the challenge note wrapped around it). Though that would mean sculpting two heads for each, not a recolor bandannas. Still, it would be a way to make more happy...though with those always being limited runs, I'm sure they'd sell out without such cross-fanbase appeal. This is also all assuming/speculating that they would produce said maquettes for release in the first place. Quote:

Hard to tell for sure on that picture wearing the Shredder glove, but it looks different than the concept art. Extremely different.
Makes me wonder if they ARE going with that being an artifact from Oroku Saki's time in feudal Japan while Fichtner has a modernized tech-based Shredder suit. |

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5124/...96b5675d30.jpg That really doesn't look modern. It looks like some guy made it with metal from a junkyard. |
that splinter concept art makes me sad. it gives me the impression they might've been headed in a more subtle direction at one point before someone stepped in and decided to turn everything up to 11

And now we know that splinter came from lab, so i ask you then, where does japanese features come from, why does he have a japanese mustache and hair? I mean i like the Pai Mei look http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...aiMeiPromo.jpg But it still doesen't make sense... If splinter mutated with mustache and hair, why didn't the turtles? They are teanagers, they should have facial hair... |
That's what bugs me most about the Splinter design. It's just so ridiculously convenient that Splinter's mutation gave him just the right sprouts of hair to grow a top knot and Fu Manchu 'stache.

A tie they left in the movie, whether or not what shredder says is true, which many see to think its is. there are ties to many different sources being used through out this movie Just from the trailers alone. |

It was just a referance he has a fu man shu mustache in several version so its not like they were trying to make him look more stereo typical, If anything they were further representing his Japanese Background by giving him a top knot a thing of Honor Samurai and Ninja wore as a badges |
