No turtle / human mating

I just had to share this old quote I found from Peter Laird. Did this REALLY need to be clarified ??? My sides are aching...:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Regarding Karai being called "Leo[nardo]'s girlfriend" by the time of the show's third season, Laird noted that "contrary to what some TMNT fans might fantasize, Turtles don't mate/have love affairs with humans."[43]

omg... I'm going to pee my pants..

Candy Kappa 05-11-2014 01:12 PM

*cough* Radical *cough*

miru 05-11-2014 01:13 PM

Now that Nick owns the turtles, they might be disregarding that rule for better storytelling.

And that's a good thing! There's an image I don't want to imagine.

Donnie's crush on April is cute, but honestly I could never see April feeling that way about him. He is a turtle! I can understand her loving the turtles as you would a family member, but not being physical with them.

Nobody wants to see stuff like this outside of furries and people on deviantart.

Haha... the thought of 'furries' just cracks me up!!

BTW Cybercubed...I've been meaning to ask you.... who is that guy in your sig? I really feel like I should know, but I can't put my finger on it.

I think it was in that period he just green light things without detail checking them. iirc

j/k

Sure the interracial thing was somewhat disturbing, but it was also super random to make her Leo's mate. I just can't see them getting together.

electric_sheep 05-11-2014 02:45 PM

They could though, they have more human than turtle DNA, what would those kids look like?

I wouldn't have minded as much had there been some actual build-up to it. The turtles have what, interacted with Radical like 3-5 times?

And suddenly we are presented to a story where old Leo dates Radical in the future, and it's only purpose is to fridge Radical to further Leo's journey. Radical is completely f*cked over with how she is handled and her death. The story is so insulting to the character, at least have her have a final battle where she fights to the bitter end. Nope *snap* done. Leo is the one who ends Complete Carnage.

A complete disservice to Radical.

Nick April... Not that innocent? Interested in Casey, but always teasing Donnie?

I'm starting to wonder if Nick April is maybe deliberately "not so innocent" (a stretch I know, but could be seen from a particular viewpoint) by playing with Donnie's heart since April seemed to bond with Casey so quickly by flirting back with him when she would tease back, "Since when was this a date Casey?" in one episode or in "Wormquake!" how she automatically assumed it was Casey reaching toward her when that worm was rubbing itself on her backside.

Yet whenever it comes to reciprocating to Donnie's affection, she's either vapid like a block of wood, acts completely ignorant/clueless, or she coaxes Donnie to keep pursuing that Retro-Mutagen to save her father with just the right amount of minimal gratitude kisses on the cheek.

It's not like some teen girls are above that type of shady behavior ;) in exploiting the brainy nerds by making them do favors for her, with the nerds thinking they actually have a chance with her (the hot/pretty girl). Play on Nick April, play on...

Coola Yagami 05-11-2014 04:07 PM

I seriously doubt the turtles could impregnate a human female.... they're just not compatible. However, that doesn't mean they can't screw as much as they want without the consequences. Leo and Radical were in love, no mention of children.

That's another obstacle if the Don/April drama were to take place on a more realistic and mature adult setting. What would Don do if one day his wife wanted children? They'd probably have to adopt or something. Would Donnie hit some kind of depression over not being able to give the women he loves children?

If 2012 Donatelo and April had a kid would that kid be human? You know because april's retro mutagenic body would just cleanse it's genes...
And here's a really bad one.
Spoiler:
If 2012 Donatello and April try to have sex wouldn't donatelo's penis (If he has a human penis) emidietly turn into a turtle penis because she's an anti mutant?

Shark_Blade 05-11-2014 04:23 PM

Since the turtles acquires human attributes (walking on two legs, speech, way of thinking, physical traits, etc) due to their mutation, I'd say anything is possible.

*is expecting Leo/Karai, April/Donnie, Raph/Casey mating season soon* :tcool:

Their baby probably look something like this :tlove:

Or solely human or turtle attribute only.

April might be immune to mutagen but that's within her cells and such. The way you're describing it makes it sound like April would have turned Donnie into a normal turtle just by kissing him. I doubt um.. to put it lightly.... anything done during the actual act would turn any part of Donnie into normal turtle parts.

Coola Yagami 05-11-2014 04:27 PM

On other topics... would April give birth to an egg? Reminds me of the Mario Bros. movie.

Nah, her body isn't built to lay eggs lol. And Donnie's DNA is a mix of human/turtle imo like I mentioned, i.e he can consume human food too.

Let's say he's 50/50 percent human turtle, on which side would the coin fall? Isn't there a chance that his turtle parts would turn into human parts?

Solely her blood won't affect anything. Donnie experimented with her blood and other substances to make the retromutagen, it takes him months to create it too.

They can bang as much as they want without worrying about anything.

Edit: Wait are you talking about their baby?Re-reading the quotes, it doesn't seem like it.

In that quote i was talking about him.

(Isn't it wierd that the most civilised topic in a while is on a subject of turtle dicks?)

Shark_Blade 05-11-2014 04:53 PM

Turtle dicks are scary so I hope it's shaped like a human's lmao :tlol: I dunno, whatever floats your boat I guess.

There was a video on Tosh.O of a turtle "finishing" and it was pretty disturbing! :o

Coola Yagami 05-11-2014 05:29 PM

I'm pretty sure the turtles junk is pretty much like human junk. Goes along with having human arms, legs and a digestive system. I assume pizza would poison and kill real turtles. Hell, they even have human teeth. It's stuff we ignore and take for granted cause it's a cartoon and all but think about it.... they have friggin human teeth.

As for April... why do you have the weird idea that her junk is retromutagenic??? I mean Don got the cure based on her blood cells or saliva swab. He didn't say 'hey um April... can I borrow one of your used pads?' or anything like that. I really doubt her um..... lower bodily fluids would somehow turn the turtles back to normal.

And gah, it's disgusting even talking about this with this particular version of April.

MsMarvelDuckie 05-11-2014 06:04 PM

Well, as a side-issue of what Donnie's "junk" would look like, even if it was shaped like a human one (which I sort of doubt, given that they are apparently still inside the shell) it would probably still be proportionately sized like a normal turtle's. That means it would be WAAAY bigger than a human's, which is just..... Ouch. Uh, I'm thinking they probably couldn't "mate" like normal couples.

Yeah, seeing how the turtles equipment is still internal when not... Activated, I'd say it's more turtley then humany.

And with that, I think it is enough internet for today (tonight).

Cipher 05-11-2014 06:48 PM

I'm torn on the Radical thing.

On the one hand: Yeah! That issue completely and classically fridges her.

On the other hand, both she and Complete Carnage had kind of been written off into oblivion by that point and I like most of the issue. I also have no problem with her and Leo being an item; both are very spiritual and, to the extent that they could love each others' personalities despite physical differences, I can dig it. This is also on a post-alien Earth, so make of that what you will.

Honestly, its no more or less weird than Raphael and Ninjara. Actually, it's less weird.

Also, f*ck the rest of this thread.

NoName999 05-11-2014 07:33 PM

So turtle/human relations is a big nono but turtle/alien (Michelangelo and Seri) is totally okay?

LOL

i'm still laughing from the OT ninja turtle voice actor panel when the question was asked "which character would you have liked to play if you could have been any character from the show". April's (Renae Jacobs) answer was something like "i would like to have played any of the turtles if i could have, i also would have liked to have done any of the turtles". again i say was a fun panel but not very PG.

lmao whoa. Honestly it woulda been kinda funny hearing Renae make any kind of sexual joke, even if it about the Turtles, in her April voice. LOL

But yeah, you people overthink it too much. They're still cartoons. I really seriously doubt the Turtles are gonna be pretty much humanoid (c'mon, look at them, they're basically green humans with weird faces, weird hands and feet and shells on) and yet still have animal-type junk. It just makes no sense.

I read a scientific encyclopedia on box turtles (the kind typically kept as pets) and it mentioned that males sometimes die after copulation after falling off the female, landing on their backs, and not being able to get upon their feet again.

See? More weird animal facts. The Turtles are way too humanoid now. I doubt any of them are gonna suddenly drop dead after getting laid.

best part was Rob Paulson (raph) going "now she tells us/if only we knew".

Type 97 Chi-ha 05-11-2014 10:27 PM

After seeing the "Turtles, Turtles Everywhere" episode, and seeing the evening news showing a mother sea turtle digging a hole and laying her eggs in it, I was prompted to wonder how a hard-shelled turtle could possibly have the space inside her to accommodate all her eggs.

plastroncafe 05-11-2014 10:32 PM

Turtles are bigger on the inside.
