Movie 2014 Merchandise
 

I couldn't find a thread for TMNT Movie merchandise, just multiple ones for the toys and a Merch thread for Nick items. If a movie merchandise thread is somewhere here, can a moderator merge this together.

I found on a France based ebay account that movie roleplay merchandise has already been listed. The most intriguing of which is the Donatello listing which reveals what his staff will be like in the upcoming film. I have also posted the ebay link in the 'Clothing/Gear' thread (movie section), due to the topic raised from it.

£40+ is a bit much for masks/weapons etc. Converted into dollars I can imagine a whole lot more. I have a hunch the seller might be defying the street date on these items with or without realizing.

Looking forward to seeing what other promotions and merchandise crop up in the coming months. Should be a laugh :).

Given how craptacular everything else regarding that movie is, I'm not surprised by any of it anymore.

tmntmikey. My post already said the roleplay items were listed. I drew more attention to Don listing because of the weapon. Not really an update mate.

I think it looks like a CB aerial myself.

No indication that anyone has actually bought these or the masks. Those listing prices are a rip-off.

Uh... what the frickle frackle is going on? Have we seen any mention of this in any other promo thus far?

I'm not going to start hacking apart the versimilitude of obtaining ninja weapons when you live in a sewer in the first place, but if they're going to give Leo and Raph moderately professional-looking weapons, why has Donnie got a piecemeal weapon?

Even if his weapon was made from scrap, wouldn't it just make more sense to use a broom handle or something? Or is that my inner six year old talking?

Not wanting to pour on the haterade here, it just seems a very odd stylistic choice.

On another note, the headphones are pretty rockin' though.

Ok, trying to find my calm centre again... assuming that the "bo staff" in the costume set isn't just an old design that's since been changed in the film, I have an alternate theory which could explain some of the WTF design aspects.

Now I don't think that the filmmakers honestly expect us to believe that with all the trash the Turtles have scavenged over the years, they've never found a decent metal pipe or piece of wood to use as a bo-staff.

So maybe this BayStaff is not just a bo-staff - possibly it has some sort of gizmo tech in it. Maybe it emits nerve gas. Maybe it's a remote for the Turtle Van, or a signal generator for the Turtle Coms or something. Assuming that, the changed design would make sense - although I still don't see how it could be practical to hit someone with it; even if you did stuff it full of shock absorbers, it still might break.

Anyway, I'm sure there's got to be some logical reason for why they've changed Donnie's staff (if they actually have). :roll:

Cool the soda has the tmnt movie logo on it. Havent seen that in stores yet.

I want me some Crush to wash down my Pizza Hut pizza. Summer of the turtle. I really hope Pizza Hut has a promotion of some type, I work there.

I agree, I would probably walk into the Pizza Hut down the road and ask if I could just buy a couple boxes to make sure they are clean and not greasy lol

I found the new 20 oz crush soda bottle from ninja turtles movie at target today, they were up at the front by the register.

They only had orange. I'll be checking around Walmart and grocery stores later this week because I want to try the Leonardo one.

I have a feeling that the Leo, Don and Raph varieties will be hard to find. Every store I've looked in so far doesn't even carry the berry blue and grape varieties of the soda, and I only saw the strawberry flavor in one store. It's understandable since Orange Crush is the most popular, original and iconic of all the flavors, but I hope I'll be able to get them all.

Oh, and Slash32, could you post a pic or two if you don't mind? I'd like to see the bottle, we haven't gotten that great of quality pictures of it yet.

One of my local big grocery stores had a section for Crush, as of of now though, they have 2 places for the grape flavor and that is it.

Walmart had good space.

Has anyone else found the soda? I've been looking everywhere. If all of my research says anything, they'll be available in cans, single serve plastic bottles and the 2 liter bottles as well. I plan to keep all the boxes for the cans, one set of empty cans, one set of the cans with the soda still intact, one set of the 2 liters, and one set of the single serve bottles.

Gotta buy 'em all...
