What made you happy today?
 

Not sure whether this thread will take off, but I thought it might be fun to have an opposite for the gear-grinding thread, where we can post little things that made us happy during the day!

My first one... a thing that made me happy today was the fog while I was driving to work this morning. I like fog, cuz it always makes me feel like I'm in a horror movie. :D I'm a simple creature, what can I say...

Since it was 90 degrees outside today, I was glad it was my day off of work. I work outdoors 90% of the time, so I'm glad all my co-workers were suffering and sweating in the heat while working while I was relaxing at home with the air conditioner on full blast.

I always love it when I get lucky at my job while others have to suffer. I guess I am lucky that my supervisors all like me.

I just woke up, so nothing yet. Though I'm looking forward to watch the finale of Fargo in a few minutes.

Same here. I'm probably going to head to bed in an hour or so -- sun's up.

New episodes of Pretty Little Liars and Chasing Life made my day yesterday.

It is now summer, it makes me very happy.

The temperature lowering. It's been pretty hot in the last few days.

Being out of the heat.

I don't care how hot it actually is, it felt horrible

So that made me happy

Going to sauna.

Well, the heat makes me happy...

But what really started my day happy was getting ready for work this morning, with my dog snuggled up on me, hugging his new toy from Barkbox. I love beginning my day with my snuggle-bug of a pup.

Not being at work, not hearing the awful music they play there everyday, not being annoyed by the loud noise I deal with at work every day.

I'm really glad I'm not going to work today despite the fact that someone I haven't seen in a long time is visiting there today.

I'm happy I got to see Amazing Spider-Man II just before it left our theater. I read up on all the comics on wikipedia and other sites so I pretty much knew this one was going to have an ending that'd tug at my heartstrings, but happy to see it nonetheless. I also got to see it with my fiance which was the cake rather than the icing. Good times.

Yeah, he makes me happy, too.

Also, I watched some Regular Show tonight for the first time in a year and that was pretty alright!

Coming home and just chilling with my boo while eating chimichangas made me happy today. I'm so lucky to have a partner who's comfortable hanging out with me in total silence while I decompress from the craziness of the week!

LOL he's actually a massive Deadpool fan so he'd totally take that as a compliment. ;)

Today's thing that made me happy - getting a haircut. Sounds shallow, but there's no greater feeling than the feel of a freshly-clipped pixie (especially when you've got really thick hair). I feel so light... and free! :D

Got about $30 worth of games on Steam yesterday. Finally got Dark Souls, and I'm going to end up hating myself for it later :tlol:

Watching the first TMNT movie on ABC Family made me happy today.

I met Eastman today. It was brief and sketches weren`t allowed but awesome.

Nothing special today, but yesterday I won a free ticket to see the upcoming TMNT film. After that, I pre-ordered two of the Revoltech turtles despite being quite certain I would have trouble paying for them but within an hour I was commissioned for almost their exact cost! So that worked out great.

Well, nothing today, but yesterday I got the first half of my Amazon order in- It was IDW TMNT Northhampton TPB, and the Gargoyles Season 1 DVD set. According to my Amazon tracker, the other half of my order- TMNT City Fall Pt. 2 and Villains Micro-series vol. 2- should be here on Tuesday!!

One of my friends was talking about a giant dragon OC of her's and I eventually started impromptu roleplaying Donatello against him for a minute.

It was filled with size jokes and glorious snark from both sides. I am incredibly happy.

What made me happy today?

Well, it's a couple days late, but what the heck. The place where my Brother works has an employee that is getting close to being fired, and I might be a Temporary Replacement, or I might be a Permament replacement. This means that technicly I might be getting a part time job, which is neat.

What made me happy today: Seeing the new TMNT episode and anticipating the one next week is making me happy. Also, working some more on one of my fan fics and actually making progress makes me very happy.

Today's thing that's making me happy is utterly frivolous - I'm wearing an enormous woolly scarf which I can wrap around my entire head and shoulders... and it has pockets! I feel like a toasty warm desert warrior. :D

What can I say, simple things amuse simple minds. :lol:

Getting the latest chapter of my fic up and already having gotten some reviews on it makes me happy today! Also, the new episode was posted on you-tube, so I got to watch it!

Finally finishing chapter eleven of one of my fics made me happy yesterday considering it's taken me forever to finish it.

I fell in love with a girl on my brother's Tomodachi Life. Now THAT cracked me up.

I also pioneered a hot dog bath and I hang out in Damon Gant's apartment a lot. If he were real, this would be reality. I am glad Tomodachi-me is so awesome.

Also, today is 2k3 Marathon Day! Gonna eat pizza lunchables and watch the best turtles kick shell and I'm REALLY EXCITED ALSO I'M GONNA WRITE MORE TODAY AND AAAA TODAY IS GONNA BE GREAT.

My favorite contestant on the tv show Food Network Star advanced to the next episode.

Catching up with my kid sister made me happy today.

Knowing that I'm possibly going to see my BF on Saturday made me happy for sure.

Getting my hands on some antibiotics and knowing that DeathFlu2014 will soon be a thing of the past made me happy today. My germy foes, your days are numbered... 8)
