'Everything Wrong with...' TMNT (1990)
okay, so this guy is basically RIPPING off the folks at CinemaSins...BUT...
...he does make some good (and funny) points about Steve Barron's 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' - the funniest 'sins' to me are: 1) how terrible Raph's 'going out' disguise is, and how its very obviously him, and 2) the first two times a sword is actually used is to cut food, |
I think I'll wait for the official CinemaSins video....

its pathetic. |
Raph's disguise is meant to be terribly obvious.
|
I'll give THIS video credit...it has some original things about it. (Unlike his Return of the Jedi link a the end that is a blatant rip-off). It's almost Irate Gamer sad...

Hah, ok, not what I was expecting, that was amusing. :)

I didn't find it that amusing when he starts it off by counting product placement as fails. Some things he counts suggest no understanding of the plot or source material, others seem like nitpicks or opinions rather than fails, and as a Star Wars fan I don't tend to like people acting like everything is mimicking Star Wars when Star Wars itself is a string of literary archetypes and tropes.
I just didn't think this one was well done. |

This was so bad.... this guys got nothing on cinema sins... I did like the guy hiding under the table I forgot about that.

What a sad, sad man.
Although I always wondered how no one saw right through Raph's disguise. |

Terrible nit-picking. Jeez, I wouldn't want to be this guys spouse.

Most of the "fails" he pointed at are just stupid tbh.
Not gonna subscribe you. |
One of the fails is April not being sexy
This is how you know it is trash |
Quote:
But that's beside the point- April O'neil, contrary to casual belief, is not a sex object, nor was she created to be the series' eye candy. She's a regular girl who falls into some extraordinary stuff. Was she drawn to be pretty, well, yeah, but that doesn't mean she's supposed to be sexed up. Her purpose is to be the turtles' link to the human world, not their crush or yours. |

So is this guy who did this video known to do this for jerky reasons? I figured it was just in playful harmless poking and how it came across to me, but can't say I've seen anything else made by him or whatnot. |
that wasnt funny.
or interesting at all, really. |

Wish I had watched TMNT(1990) instead of that YouTube video.

I can think of many well known, popular films that has a female lead I'm not really attracted to, at all. For example, I'm not really attracted to Carrie Ann Moss. Does that make The Matrix, the first one, and/or the actress herself complete garbage? Is that what really defines a good movie/actress? Quote:

Um... you guys know that these kinds of videos are made primarily for entertainment and many who do kind of bad-movie-reviews do films they even like and/or have a personal nostalgic relationship with. Don't take everything so serious.

My problem is it's a complete rip-off CinemaSin's "Everything Wrong With" series.

I lived in the city for years, and I once saw a guy duck into the phone booth (yes, a phone booth), and urinate, because apparently finding a bathroom was too difficult a task. |

it possible, IMO, to like the content a person produces, and just dislike them as a person. im sure we all have examples of that  |

Only thing I didn't like about the original movie is the fact that splinter was a pet that watched his masters moves from his cage. I hated that. Other than that, I can't find anything wrong with that film.

And Raph's disguise didn't even work that well. Remember the taxi he rolled over?
Passenger: "What the heck was that?" Driver: "Looked like sort of a big turtle. In a trench coat. You'r going to LaGuardia, right?" Guess they really didn't care that much..... |
