Do you think we'll see the Fugitoid?

With the knowledge that the Triceratons will be in Season 3 and Ciro claiming he's a fan of Mirage, do you think the Fugitoid will appear as well?

I wonder if they'll pull an IDW and have Fugitoid start off as a Neutrino before getting his mind zapped into a robot body. I'm really curious as to how the whole Dimension X story will play out.

Rock soldiers other than Traag? Triceratons? Fugitoid and Neutrinos?

miru 07-09-2014 01:18 PM

I think we'll get him, Mona Lisa, and maybe a Triceraton as season 3 allies.

Powder 07-09-2014 01:24 PM

I think so, yeah. Hoping we do, at least!

rickwj324 07-09-2014 03:30 PM

I definitely think we will. Has there been a cartoon or comic series without him? He's a cool character for sure.

I didn't know until reading the Ultimate History that Fugitoid came BEFORE the turtles!!

CyberCubed 07-09-2014 03:49 PM

Fugitoid never appeared in the original toon or Archie.

Donatello19 07-09-2014 03:51 PM

I'd say it's almost guaranteed that he'll appear eventually.

LeotheLateBloomer 07-09-2014 04:47 PM

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for him.

NinjaPug 07-09-2014 04:53 PM

Yeah, I think there's a pretty good chance they introduce the the Fugitoid at some point. I'd like it if he was involved with the upcoming storyline with the Triceratons but I'm sure Ciro and crew will come up with something cool.

mexichrist83 07-09-2014 05:05 PM

I hope we have Fugitoid in the new show! I love Fugitoid and I would love to see a Nick version of him. Plus, it would be great to have a new Fugitoid action figure. The one I had as a kid from the original animated series was one of my favorite TMNT figures!

This sounds like a pretty good idea. It's a nice re-imagining of the character. I think he has a pretty good shot at being in the nick show. I remember seeing on turtlepedia that the fugitoid is a character yet to appear. I have a snip of it:

It's from the wiki page and i don't know how valid it is

Wow..thanks for the info. I always assumed he was a part of the OT.

Nope, but there was MACC I think. Forgot the story with him.

zaktheneutrino 07-09-2014 09:38 PM

I haven't been reading much lately so it's a nice surprise to see that the Triceratons will be in season 3! With that said, it would be hard to imagine a turtles in space arc without Fugitoid. I'd love new figures of each too! The 2k3 turtles in space were some of my favorite episodes.

Shark_Blade 07-10-2014 03:28 AM

Never liked Fugitoid, but I'm loving Metalhead!

So he kinda got it covered for me in the robot dept. But if Nick wants him on board, then sure why not. I have faith with Ciro and his team, most of their characters are gold quality so far (except Justin and Timothy of course :trazz:).

drgon78 07-10-2014 06:28 AM

We could use more alien/extra-dimensional races in general. It would be cool to get some alien creatures from outerspace though.

The Vernon 07-18-2014 11:56 AM

Not interested at all in this feeble, puny character. The character is a bore and a burden of the series. Unless, you mutate this uninteresting robot so much so that it makes you sweat when you dream at night. Haha, I don't think so - that is a laugh in a half. Might as well make me a margarita in this fairy tale of imaginations. Whenever I crush a soda can on my forehead, I do think of him though. *tear

I pray to hell we don't see 'im.. I really hate this robot. I don't like to be angry, but I have to; it's a reflex.

neatoman 07-18-2014 03:33 PM

Hey since the show is so happy about making one character turn out to be another, what if the Fugitoid is:
Spoiler:
Baxter in a robot body.

sdp 07-18-2014 03:34 PM

I think we will, not because Ciro is a fan of Mirage, I mean we've seen this show is far from anything mirage related but it does do Mirage references from time to time, and Fugitoid is pretty big in the TMNT universe, heck it's why Laird couldn't keep the character.

It's odd he never appeared, he had a toy and none of the countless OT robots did, not to mention that Laird loves the character but he had very little influence on the show. But yeah many of those robots could've been turned into Fugitoid.

Watch it with the IDW spoilers, I plan to eventually read the series as TPBs come out, unless you're on the comic section, it should be on spoiler tags.

And I didn't like Bebop and Rocksteady until the IDW series. It's all about handeling my friend.

I wonder if you've ever played the games that have B&R boss fights? That's how I truly started loving the characters tbh. You get to beat the **** out of them.:D

Hehehe, that's funny. No but I would not consider beating up people I don't like the same thing as starting to like them.

No but the reason I didn't like them in the cartoon or the Archie series is because they're like Otis from the Superman movies, they're meant to make the goofed up main villain look better in comparison but ends up having the opposite effect of just making him look even more foolish and as such are the most annoying part. At least the Archie did the right thing and got rid of them as quickly as they could.

The reason they do work in the IDW comics is simple, they're goofy villains amongst many serious ones and they're seen for the useless idiots they are so they get demoted at every turn. The characters did not have to be changed to a high tech catburglar and a Russian mercenary, they stayed roughly the same, it's only their enviroment that changed.

Kind of strange that I'm saying it, the two TMNT villains who are meant to be goofy work better in a serious setting but it's true, in a comedic setting they're just pointless.

I think it would be fitting to see old Professor Honeycutt:P Maybe try a new story arch with him.

Particularly if he turns out to be a neutrino like he is in the IDW.

Then again, maybe the planet Dehoonib could be part of Dimention X.

I don't know about the federation though, it might sound like it's trying to rip off Star Wars. I know Turtle's in space was supposed to have a star wars feel, but still I don't think Nick wants people saying "So Turtle's is going Star Wars/ Star Trek now?"

The original "Fugitoid" comic that Laird did before TMNT was ever created and then shoe-horned in to TMNT later on was a very Star Wars influenced. The 4Kids series really played that up. The spiritual aspects of Star Wars never really made it into that story arc, though.

Personally I think he's too important of a character to be left out, but we'll see.

Xav 07-22-2014 06:54 PM

Maybe they could get Anthony Daniels to voice him, that would be funny.

Metropoliskid41 07-22-2014 09:36 PM

That's a good question.

I personally think Fugitoid has had a bit of resurgence and become a vital and essential part of the TMNT mythos that we'll start to see pop up in most incarnations. 2k3 included him, as did the Battle Nexus Video game, and he has been an integral part of the IDWverse so far. So he has been around in all of the recent incarnations, I hope that continues here with the Nick Toon.

Davetello 07-25-2014 09:35 AM

Yeah, he's a fantastic character and would fit nicely into the Nick universe. I think it's 99% that he'll appear eventually. Will be interesting to see what they do with him.

shredder orokusaki 07-25-2014 10:38 AM

He will but this nick version might be closer to IDW version than Mirrage.
