My favorite part, as always really, are the gags after the "credits". The 3 Amigos joke had me rolling.

graphic_content 07-24-2014 09:50 AM

finally. been hoping that they would do this one for a while now.

Pondslider 07-24-2014 09:50 AM

"Obvious Turtle in a costume is ignored. Going to be that kind of movie, eh?" Hahaha

FrankRightNow 07-24-2014 10:22 AM

Wrong thread. Don't know how to delete only edit

The Boston Ninja Turtle 07-24-2014 10:56 AM

If so, I can't wait for them to slam the third one :D

Quite cool.

Nunchuk rap battle.

They love their franchises. They ripped the third Matrix movie a new one, I expect the same treatment for the third TMNT.

The Boston Ninja Turtle 07-25-2014 09:10 AM

kinda hopeing they do all 4 (including this one )

It'll be a while until they do this one. They might do the 2007 TMNT though; that one's technically the 4th movie.

It's kinda sad that's true. I realised that myself when I watched the movie for the first time.
Spoiler:
And the the new movie is most likely going to do the same...

thats what i meant 2007, i shouldve re worded it different haha

i mean this one as in the 1990 they already made

SwiftNinjaFox 07-26-2014 08:08 AM

These aren't even movie sins...these are....I don't even know what the hell these are.

"Only teens have been spotted at the scenes" is a movie sin? And a chance to make a Catholic priest joke...

"April O'Neil isn't a porn star in this scene." WHAT THE #(*@?

I enjoy these sort of videos when they point out inconsistencies, like someone wearing a jacket, not wearing a jacket, wearing a jacket in a conversation, but so far the two that people have tried to do on 90's TMNT are just weak attempts to try and claim things are wrong when there's nothing there.

Sure, there ARE some things noted, like the TV not being plugged in and still playing as he runs away. But you can't take a 12 minute video and fill it with things that don't even apply to the topic and claim it's "everything wrong" with the movie.

Chief of police calling random shoplif....NO, HE'S CALLING THE GUY HE WANTS TO BACK OFF BECAUSE THIS GIVES HIM LEVERAGE! >_<

...and they never presumed Splinter was dead, just taken. Did these guys actually watch the movie when putting this one together?

/sigh
Seriously, I'm not saying 90s TMNT is a perfect movie with no errors and no movie sins, but this....is not a well made movie. Most "Everything wrong with" videos are fantastic, even some of movies I love, but this one is pretty lamely done.

I'd like to see a real one of these for the turtle films.

Someone's not a Cinema Sins viewer then. A lot of their sins are in-jokes.

SwiftNinjaFox 07-26-2014 01:41 PM

Perhaps the ones I've seen were from a different source, but used the same format, counting errors, plot holes, and things that didn't make sense.

Not random statements.

/shrug

Post it if you ever find it?

SwiftNinjaFox 07-26-2014 02:44 PM

Oh no, I've never seen one for TMNT. I'd like to, though.

Zog the Equalizer 07-27-2014 06:17 AM

This video is pretty great. The only thing that bugged me is him saying Danny wouldn't know where the lair was. It's not light he was part of the organization that wrecked the place or anything... And I agree with the complaint about the leverage. Otherwise great vid. Bane Shredder was awesome

Coola Yagami 07-27-2014 09:58 AM

Pretty sure the porn star joke is referencing porn star April O'Neil.

They did presume Splinter dead in the movie. When Leo came back to tell everyone he's alive, they're like 'sure Leo, we all *think* he's alive'.

I will give you the chief Sterns one.

Everything Wrong With TMNT (2007) - Cinema Sins

Not sure if this has already been posted; doing this on a phone. :P

Makes me wonder how anyone can truly enjoy a movie when they over analise and pick it apart like that. I watched this movie the other day and I theroly enjoyed it... still. It may not have been the ultimate dark and gritty film we all wanted but in my opinion it got more right than it got wrong.

RaphaelinSTL 07-30-2014 11:52 AM

Man, I find this video hilarious. I remember going to see this movie with my brother in 2007 and being extremely disappointed in it. Weak plot and even weaker characters left a lot to be desired for me.

The movie wasn't bad, it just felt like an episode of the cartoon.

This movie would make a good 3-parter of the Nick cartoon.

Nah, I gotta disagree. I thought everything about the film was poorly written. I don't know how something that would've been better served as a direct to DVD mess ended up in theaters.

That's just how I feel about it at least. This video covers most of the problems i had with it.

i do it, comes from being a film student..i can still enjoy a movie by my eyes are ears are trained to catch the mishaps and what not

i remember i was in college when this came out and skipped math to go see it

Donatello19 07-30-2014 12:34 PM

Literally cannot stand "cinema sins"...couldn't watch more than 2 minutes of that video.

Neither can I. Not to mention how annoying and f*cking aggressively nerdy that guy's voice is. Jesus Christ.

massakre 07-30-2014 01:33 PM

the pace felt "off" to me for this film. the best scenes were the fight between leo/raph and the intro with Leonardo being a badass

Except no....? No. Just no. The movie was basically trash, save the Leo and Raph fight scene.

Boring forgettable villains.

Why make 12 or 13 monsters and only show like...3?

Were Mikey and Don in the movie?

Did Casey even do.... well.....anything?

Repeating the origin twice? Just to fill up screen time?

Splinter angry at Leo for not getting the family together when HE sent Leo off and broke up the family in the first place? And why the hell did he ground the others just cause Leo was gone?

No. Just no.

Pretty good. He got all of the points just right, along with the usual Cinema Sins running gags. I wish he'd also do II and III.

Shark_Blade 07-30-2014 07:34 PM

I agree with most of his points.

This movie is so bad it could potentially give people brain tumor. I had to edit out the godawful cringeworthy opening scene (boring narration: "4 brothers...4 turtles..", ancient time 3000 years ago and jungle central america) and also April's redundant recycling of the ancient storytelling again.

There's other stuff too but it's just better to ignore it, too much effort. It's the most excruciating movie to watch, even TMNT3 is better than this tripe. I would've thrown it in a trash can but the passable CGI is what holds me back. Barely. Another thing that's redeemable to me is that excellent rooftop rain fight scene.

Well, this guy isn't so smart. He bitched about Donnie's Bo holding him on the building, and apparently he wasn't paying attention to how the bo was placed. The stuff he's complaining about is nothing "wrong". If anyone is an asshole, it's this dude.

And even THAT had a stupid reason of being. What was Leo's problem with anyone else fighting crime in the city? Why isn't he all up in Casey's grill about that ****?

Shark_Blade 07-30-2014 08:19 PM

Because of Leo's mindset of him being "better than you/everyone else" maybe. Yeah he should've outed Casey if that's the case.

I doubt the writers think thoroughly for his character in this movie, sadly.

Firstly, it's not all meant to be taken seriously. Secondly, he brought out tons of valid points. Thirdly, there was nothing on the bo that kept Don from falling due to his own weight. You can't just place a stick on the edge of something and have it somehow keep the rest of you from falling. And if there was something there weighing down the staff... they sure didn't angle the shot clear enough to show it.
