RaphaelinSTL's TMNT Collection

Hello!

I've gotten back into collecting as much TMNT stuff as possible. I've owned several TMNT toys since I was young, but know it's time for me to dig deep...find my collection and start a new! I'll be posting random finds that I'm more aware of through digging downstairs as well as any other new TMNT purchases I make.

Join me, won't you?

Here's the beginning...it's small so far as I know I have more downstairs but it's a start! Looking to get a new apartment soon too so I'll for sure be making a display section.

Thank you kindly!! I was able to locate some great figures downstairs after I posted this but unfortunately, most of the Turtles figures have belts missing....or other TMNT related characters have many accessories missing. =/

It's a shame. I wish I could go back and tell 7 year old me "STOP LOSING THINGS! YOU'RE GONNA STILL ENJOY THIS STUFF 20 YEARS LATER!"

pennydreadful 08-28-2014 07:02 PM

Totally - I want to go back and talk to my early 20's self and tell them to stop giving away the 2k3 merchandise they'd bought!

RaphaelinSTL 09-07-2014 11:14 PM

Got some more stuff headed my way, but I was able to add two new figures to my collection of new purchases. As you can see in the above picture, I have an original 1988 Raphael in the package and chances are if I get any more in that style, it'll just be any 1988 original to keep MOC. However, I couldn't help myself and bought a 1988 classic collection re-release of Krang to open. I got something I'm really pumped on hopefully coming in the mail tomorrow.

OH! And I was able to finally locate a 1990 TMNT Classic Collection Michelangelo after every single TRU around me has been sold out for a week. Got it on Amazon Prime with free shipping. =)

Anyway, I took this picture as it has me pumped! This is how TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze should've went down. :tgrin:

Been awhile since I posted in here I guess, haha.

Well since 2014, I bought a house and my girlfriend moved in with me and we got a cat. :)

I'm going to eventually turn a side in our spare room into a little TMNT collection area with the NECA 1/4 1990 figures displayed underneath my Rich Kelly MONDO 1990 and 1991 movie posters. Here's a little preview of them!

My awesome brother also got me the bootlegged color bandanna NECA figures as well, but I'm wondering if I'll have them in the spare or keep them around my desk when I find another job. More to come soon! :tsmile:

Welp, it took a few years and moving but I finally was able to get a collection display going ... and not at all like I thought it would've been in 2017!

So I had the 1/4th figures of the four Turtles and Shredder (still do), but once GameStop started offering those single packs ... I had to grab all of them. Originally I was just going to stick with the movie line as I had Tokka/Rahzar, Super Shredder, and Casey too but I actually inherited the SDCC 2017 Toon pack after my brother sadly passed and I fell in love with them so I went out and got a bunch more.

At our other house, we just didn't have the area to display anything like I had in my mind so when I was finally able to get my own office space, I knew I wanted to get a display cabinet.

Got this one off WayFair, and it's nice but boy was it kind of a pain in the ass to put it together. Originally I had paid for a WayFair assembly team person to come over and help, but I had three people cancel on me the morning of ... so I ended up putting it together with a buddy of mine and it took us almost three hours. I love the way it looks, but something was off with my right cabinet door as it doesn't align properly. It's not terribly noticeable, but still ...

Might have to find a new home for my original MOC Playmates figures and decided to probably just keep the Musical Mutagen (Coming Out of Their Shells) figures in their box set. Might do the same thing when TMNT III figures hit with that rumored box set this year.

The risers I got turned out nice I think! Didn't think I'd be able to get everything in there, let alone with potential room to spare with whatever else drops this year.

Waiting on my last riser set for the bottom shelf today!

if your ever near Lincoln il look for a shop called primary collectibles and if you go up route 55 to McClean you'll find an epic arcade with the machines priced the same as when they came out.

Display and collection looks good

RaphaelinSTL 08-06-2023 12:06 AM

Update the display tonight! Finally opened up my TMNT 3 pack and with that, opened and gave room to my Coming Out Of Their Shells/Musical Mutagen figures as well!

Although I wish I could've been able to keep the Toon and Movie stuff not together in the same row, I think I still like how it turned out! Might make that TMNT 3 / Musical Mutagen area more tightly packed together if NECA ever gives us Next Mutation figures so I can make that the "goofy suit" area haha.

Sort of running out of room, but there are still some animated figures I hope to add!

Could you post a link here to the wayfair listing for that case? I could use two of those actually - they look more like what I always wanted the Detolf to be.

I'd appreciate the link, and your display looks great!

It was originally called the Kihachirou Display Stand by Rebrilliant, but looks like my order URL page links to this now.

Seems to be the same display case though!

Thanks man. There is a lot I could do with a few of those once I give up on my Detolfs. Thank you for the link....

Added Professor Perry in my Secret of the Ooze section and my Evil Rex-1 at the bottom of the 1987 character shelf!

Really wondering who is next on the list for this year when it comes to reveals. ?

TheCanadiandrome 05-30-2024 05:21 PM

radical man! collection growing

RaphaelinSTL 07-20-2024 11:26 AM

I love it when it's SDCC season. Getting ready for all the coverage and reveals from NECA and other companies is always a blast. Wanted to share how my NECA display is looking, and how much I'm running out of room, haha.

I've got things organized by 1990, Secret of the Ooze, Movie 3/Coming Out of Our Shells, and 1987 mixed with a bit of Archie.

I'm so excited to finally add Tatsu to my 1990 display. Hoping we eventually see an Archie Armaggon and 1987 series Tempestra this month!

It’s so glorious

Since I did some much-needed shelf cleaning, I ended up doing some rearranging and space making for some newer figures and potential newcomers! Can't seem him too much at the top left, but Tatsu is finally there, making my 1990 collection complete! And at the bottom left is Panda Khan who I finally found today! He's a lot of fun.

I decided to put rearrange the bottom two shelves and end up putting the Neutrinos, "Dopey & Dumbo" and Dirk Savage away in storage. Dirk I liked, but never really had any connection with, the Neutrinos I love, but my goodness, they just never can stand up, and the other two gangsters just don't feel complete without all four.

Sometimes you just gotta make room with what you have! That said, Tattoo and Wrym and coming soon, and I can't wait for those. Keeping my fingers crossed for an eventual Archie Armaggon this year too. That's probably my number one hope.

Reallt nice and clean set-up!
